I've been trying to figure out what keybase.io is, why you need an invite and mainly why I would want it. I know it sounds newbie of me, but what exactly is keybase.io good for? Private encrypted messaging?
It provides an easy way to use PGP. (Pretty Good Privacy)
Here is my PGP key : https://keybase.io/yogg/key.asc
If you use it to encrypt a message, I'll be the only person able to read what you have written.
It's also a good way to authenticate for, let's say, prevent scams by impersonators.
If you do something that requires this type of security layer, http://keybase.io provides PGP in a right and easy way to use.

Then, I got myself some invites to spread and I will do the same : There are 2 available to be given away.
