not exactly a waste of time as long as you don't take them seriously ..! they are a good learning curve, to get your first few satoshis into your acc/.

There are lots of thread on qoinpro started in last few days..! way too many, site is good but it will take hundreds of day to collect 1$ worth of btc.. Don't know if good or no good, always worth a try.
