Perhaps this book is the most informative source of information for beginners. Everything is very accessible and understandable in simple language.

small update:

I am working on a new chapter called "Scaling Bitcoin" and will talk about the following:

soft forks, hard forks, chain splits
history of BCH
segwit
MAST
Schnorr
Lightning

Any suggestions?

Have you included chapter on guides to claim coins from forking events into your book yet?
I meant claiming forked coins safely and don't put original coins into risky situations of losing them all.
I usually hesitated and not joined claiming forked coins by myself.
It's better to leave coins on exchanges that automatically support forks.

Unfortunately, sometimes exchanges have not supported forks, hence crypto enthusiasts have to claim them by themselves.

Consequently, the sort of chapter will be helpful for new joiners in crypto.
Thanks.

Really good idea! Thank you very much for the suggestion! I will include a section about the split coins and how to manage the forks to claim them.

I don't understand why someone will like free crypto books and as a matter of fact anything free. Free things are always shit and when it comes crypto/blockchain you should take anything as freebies because you are putting your money to invest.
Instead, the best thing is to buy some of the best Bitcoin and blockchain books from which you can learn something and make your decision in a better. Apart from that, the book will stay with and the knowledge too that you make gained by reading a book that you have bought because bought books inspire us to read also.
It doesn't  make sense, in my opinion.
Good books are good books no matter what they are free ones or paid ones.

The OP author made initiatives to help people who have not known about cryptos, and need some thing to get start with. After reading the given fee crypto currency book, if the realise the interesting things of cryptos, they will automatically find more sources to dig deeper, and paid books like those ones mentioned on your site are one of their options at that time.
The approach especially makes sense for people who come from third world, low-income nations.

- Highly appreciated your time to build up your site, and make a good collection of the best books on Bitcoin and blockchain.
- Thanks for the OP author's kindness, generosity to compose and manage the helpful topic.

Happy New year as well as happy the tenth birthday of Bitcoin!

Thanks for your kind words. I really appreciate it.

I share your opinion. I just love writing about something I find fascinating. And for me, nothing is as fascinating as Crypto. I made a lot of mistakes learning some things the hard way and I hope I can prevent others from doing the same.
I always wanted to give something back to the community and this is my way of doing so. Glad that you like the idea.

Happy new year as well! Just typing about a new paragraph about the anniversary and the proof of keys event  Smiley

Excellent work done by you. Thanks so much for sharing such useful book. Will surely share feedback once I am done reading it.

Thank you very much! Would appreciate your feedback.

Thanks for the share, but i prefer yt videos more. Books are a bit old school xD

Well I guess that I am a bit old school too   Cheesy Wink
Hope you like it either way.

Did you take the time to read the book? I read most of your bought books over the last five years including some very early versions on GitHub or blog posts from the authors. For me, it doens´t make sense why the fact, that you paid for something, makes it better than something available for free.

Look at Mastering Bitcoin for example, it is available for free as well on GitHub directly from the Author.

I would love to hear your feedback after you read the book. Please don´t simply judge the book by it´s cover (or price)

I think this is great but always advise people to make sure they scan any downloaded files before opening

That´s why I added every Chapter to the homepage and therefore making it accessible without downloading. But you are right nevertheless. Security is one of the biggest chapters in the new book and I hope to increase it even further.

thank you so much, it is really helpful for newbie like me. Best wishes for you. Lets do BTC together  Smiley thank you so much, it is really helpful for newbie like me. Best wishes for you. Lets do BTC together  Smiley

Nice work to draw out attention to the book although you needed not to have gone through the stress by writing down all the table of content a simple link is enough and if interested we click on it and browse through, it is important for beginners. thank you so much......

Thank you very much!

You did great with making this guide, I hope you'll continue to be helpful so newbie can be educated.
Crypto is too risky, we deserve to be educated in order to minimize the inherent risk.

Thanks! I will continue whenever I have free time to further enhance the book. I am involved in Crypto for more than 5 yeas and lost money because of basic mistakes myself. Hope it helps to prevent some more or less common mistakes for others

It's not everyday you get to see someone trying to write a book about cryptocurrency, with the aim of educating others,it really is a noble task and I must commend you for it
Going through the book,it doesn't look bad at all, just needs a little more proof reading and also to correct some errors either in its citation and otherwise,if that's done then the book will be wonderful

Thank you! I really hope that I can improve the book by collecting different opinions and experiences. In my opinion, education should be free and available to everyone. That´s my way of contributing

You can make money by selling this, but you opted to post it so members can download it free, great work so many pages I bet it took you a lot of time to do this and people should reward for this, I can only give you merit for being so generous.

Thank you very much! I am more than happy to go over the comments and hear positive feedback. I would appreciate your feedback as you go through the book.

I agree with Harlot, APA citation is essential to make it look more professional.

It´s definitely top priority. I am currently going through some of the different possibilities to enhance the citation process.

Looks like a good book, Interested!
Thanks for sharing.

hope you like it!

Great contribution to the community, thank you for writing a book and sharing it with us!

At some point the amount of content you can add to new versions will get small. At that point it would be wise to consider moving this book from a PDF onto your wordpress site. The world of information lives in the cloud...get this information on the web so it can be interactive, so people can find it easier, so people can reference specific sections easier, so you can add graphics to help aid the learning, etc.

Keep at it and thank you!

Glad you like it. Thank you very much for your suggestion, I will try to add the chapters to wordpress as well. Really a good idea!

I wrote a book about cryptocurrencies which is especially aimed for starters.

Remember anyone offering you anything for free to download and execute, scan with at least 15 antiviruses with firewall in place Wink.
In Bitcoin security is first.

Absolutely. Something I cover in the security chapter as well. Safety first! Wink

Great work I would spend my day surly going through the book and finding out how to expand my knowledge on cryptocurrency and related topics

Thanks! Hope it helps!

Great Initiative!! Moreover, it is free. Would be reading it and giving out a review once I complete it.

I would love to hear your feedback and especially any suggestions!

I appreciate your time and effort on creating this 394 paged book about cryptocurrencies but I would suggest two things.

1. You should Cite your references properly

Upon seeing your reference section you only copy-pasted the sources for your books. If you want to make your book somehow professional you should properly use APA citations indicating the author as well as date of publication. Here is a quick start guide on how to properly cite website links using APA citation. Also you need to go more deeper than wikipedia and actually cite the ones being posted in their webpage.

2. Use proper spacing in your content

The majority of your book is written like this big blocks of letters without any proper spacing by using paragraphs. You are trying to put your content in just one big paragraph per chapter which is really an eyesore for readers. Try separating them point by point or in 6-7 sentences per paragraph in order to give as much space in your book.

Overall the book needs a lot of editing to do especially when it comes to your references, if you want readers from across the board you should do a lot of refinement in your book. Try adding some pictures or illustrations as well even if its black and white (of course illustrations not made by you should also be referenced.

Thank you very much for your suggestions!

You are absolutely right about the references and I will habe a look at the APA citations you mentioned. I thought about using endnote at first, but that doesn´t work well with google docs sadly.

I agree that those walls of text are quite exhausting. I tried to add some separations, but I will keep that in mind as I go through it again.

I really appreciate any suggestions and hope you will continue to give some feedback as you go through the book!

Dont take this personal, neither have I clicked on the link to your book to verify it's content,if it's quality or not
You seem to be a starter yourself, and how long have you been in the crypto world, from my real world experience,it actually isn't a days job to write a book as one needs tons of knowledge garnered, and it isn't acquired within a short space of time
Or are you an alt to a more advanced member in here

I'll do well to click your link and check out your content

No worries I won´t take this personal. I am in crypto since 2013. The book is based on  5 years of experience and I worked nearly one year to write it  Wink

Well the merit hunt is hitting up and such actions of yours points in that direction

I added the table of contents because someone asked for it in an earlier post. It was actually a really good suggestion, as clicking random links isn´t the way to go. I did not write the book or any content for merit Wink

Thanks alot this will be helpful for the newbies.

People totally new to Crypto will definitely benefit the most, but it might be interesting for well advanced users too.
