One of the causes is less efficient bandwidth usage.

The greater the size of bandwidth, the faster the internet connection will be.

Even so, bandwidth usage must still be considered so as not to exceed the capacity and affect the internet connection.

The electricity is free as I am on a peak shaving facility and there is a constant stable energy produced which is only used if required and otherwise dispersed by a heat/condensate cycle.

Is that similar to an oceanic oil rig?

Bitcoin mining on a ship, now that's an interesting idea!  Cheesy

I think satellite internet might be your best bet for a stable as possible connection.

Thanks for all the feedback.
I did read every post every day.
Location sound and temperature are no issues.

I will install one rig and see how I get the internet connected before investing more.

I am actually on a ship so there is no possibility to have a wire connection.
( If we had a wire connection we would probably send the surplus electric power into the power grid but that is not a possibility.)

Did u think about the sound? It would be loud.
Are u an employee on a vessel? The engine room is a noisy place but it would be too hot to put it there.

I might be wrong but probably you're the first guy trying mining out on the open seas Grin

Where do you live?, your internet plan price so expensive, I can get 20GB just $5 or unlimited just $7 with full signal.

But anyway, speed is doesn't matter in mining even in dial up connection

There are only 8 posts in this thread. 8!!! And you didn't bother to read even the 3rd.

Look into tethering multiple hotspots for a faster more
Reliable internet service. Try to get a couple different services, and then combine the hotspots via some
Tethering software or router that allows WiFi ISP. There’s a little research to do but it’s possible.

With poor signal he can combine whatever he wants he will not get anywhere.
It's not like when one service drops the signal from the others gets better, and I'm pretty sure he already tested it with the bet there is.

I have about 3000KW almost continuous free electricity.

However there is no internet connection. 3G-4G cell phone networks are on the limit, sometimes yes sometimes no. ( a 20GB - 30days plan is around 50$ but not a stable connection a satellite based internet is available but very slow (ping about 600ms and 0.2Mbps up/down )

Is there a possibility to convert this electricity into bit coins?
What kind of setup would be required.

Internet speed is not important for mining. You solved the main problem electric cost.
Don't think so much. Start mining Smiley

How is that electricity free? It obviously comes from burning fuel, who will pay for the higher fuel use when you actually add the load to the circuits? Now please don't tell me you are actually in a nuclear submarine Smiley

Speed doesn't matter that much. With 100kbs you can still manage. There are a few miners that tried and managed to work with 3G.
But the problems would be stability, latency also a bit but you can still work with what you have.

It all comes down to this part:

... sometimes yes sometimes no.

What does it mean??? 1 minute on 1 minute off, working fine for 1 hour then dropping 30 minutes or in packets of 10 seconds?
Have you tried a signal amplifier?

A hard wire connection would be the most stable and least latency connection.

How much would it cost to have a fibre connection installed in that location?
