As I understand it, this can only work in a decentralized system. How about the fact that the coin will be on a centralized exchange?

Think there is a misunderstanding here.. they claim it and move it around in the decentralized system, they buy and sell it on a centralized exchange. (though to be fair to solve a chicken and egg problem with users needing to link to other users but no well enough linked users existing, we start centralized.. full decentralization in the long run)

Why would it not work because of centralized exchanges? Shouldn't affect it.

We allow everyone to earn up to their fair share (₣1000) by linking to friends and getting paid per link.

This has a few effects that should help stabilize the price:
 - Price is not linked to number of users and future users, more so to the network effect
 - If there is a bubble, people are more likely to rush in and claim their share, some will hold and stick around, some will dump, some will buy more. But everyone has a price
 - Made for more viral growth due to decentralized referral program, more users faster -> more stable price

Please note, this is theoretical. We make no promises that price will stabilize but it has been designed with that in mind.  This is also a great way to get new people to adopt a crypto. And on the flip side, people have to link to others and therefore talk to others about Frink, because they have to work to claim it, they may be less likely to sell. We'll see what happens.

Using those social links between people, we run social network sybil detection algorithms to create high accuracy IDs. The IDs prevent double-claiming. The IDs have some other interesting effects such as allowing the ultimate decentralization. Everyone mines as an equal, while maintaining high energy efficiency and scaling nicely because we can segregate the network into socially connected communities.

Please note, we are almost but not quite ready to launch what we have so far at www.frink.global if you want to learn more.

I'd be interested to know how you are going to prevent bubbles from forming. Some kind of manipulation of the supply of tokens?

So, I've been working on a new coin for a while now, and it should be able to stabilize in price faster.  We still expect initial volatility and price finding but it should have less bubbles and I'm wondering if it's something that will attract or scare buyers, particularly for our ICO.

Thoughts? Thanks!
