Hello friends.

Here are some free math problems.

1. Convert the base 10 (decimal) integer to base 16 (hexadecimal): 10442

2. Convert the base 16 (hexadecimal) integer to base 10 (decimal): 2AAB

3. Integrate the function sin(x)cos(2x).

4. Differentiate the function arctan((x+7)(x+3)).

5. Prove that the alternating group on at least 5 (and possibly infinitely many) elements is simple.

6. Add: 2+3

7. Solve for x: 2x+3=5.

8. Use the Cayley-Dickson construction to show that ||x*y||=||x||*||y|| for all octonions x,y.

Post your solutions in the comments. While I am giving away these math problems for free, I will not be grading them or helping you with them for free. I also did not control for the difficulty of these problems, so I mixed easy problems with harder problems (you get what you pay for).
