I could add metals if someone can provide me the url of a commonly accepted price list. And I probably will release the source sometime soon. What other currency do you require that it isn't using?

Maybe, but I don't really like that you copied my idea (+script?) and posted it on another area where you keep begging for donations  Roll Eyes

Took your idea and expanded on it. You should be happy, since you updated yours to include some features that mine had. Please show me beyond the bottom line of the first post where I have ever "begged" for donations? I haven't actually gotten any donations (except some guy from IRC), so if I demand none will that calm your hormones a couple notches? Sheesh. So now people have more than 1 free tool to choose from.

* Heh, just noticed you renamed your thread to look quite like mine. Nice touch.

Hey just a quick question about your php script to convert usd to btc. Any idea why when I call the script hosted on my own server, it just seems to hang. verdana.ttf is in the same folder. php version is 5.3.5. If you don't have any clue, thats alright, just curious.

Thank you for proving my point. I didn't get it to work. So I made my own.

Like this script? Donate to its creator: 14LkwJGwuZZ3huSDevEmM8AJPLNauzapML https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=37915.0;all
I did, the first time it came out.

Like the different method of grabbing the data, caching as per the source of the data requests on their website, multi currency, reverse calculation, and the more option version? Just use mine, I didn't do it for donations, I wanted something better. What have you offered for free?

This script was created by me. It may have been inspired by one that didn't do what I wanted, but that's all.

Any chance you'll add an option to make the text white?

I could do that. I made it transparent because I thought having a white background looked corny :p

Something broke! they all read 0!

Oh noes. I'll check.

Ah. Scraped JSON timed out, and since I cache instead of hammering, it persists until the scrape doesn't timeout. Will change to make a local backup if it breaks, and load that instead.

*Done. Should fall back to another previous good copy if it times out.

Is there a way to get this to support rounding? ex 29.889 rounded to 29.9

Yup, it's already supported. Use the decimal place argument.

d=2 or d=3 etc, it uses the round function.

Both changes have been made, feedback/bugs/donations are welcome. Next thing coming will be toggling from 24hr weighted average to last traded price.

That was fast! Thanks, it's ok and at the moment I have not seen bugs.

Also added CAD currency.
