This is how the world works, some people are in position of power and what they say move the market, this is a common thing in crypto that most of these VCs have the developers ears. I am just reading about Bitcurate but you need to learn better ways of passing across information without it being too wordy.

There are many projects available in the market that serve more or less the same purpose as bitcurate so i think it is not easy road ahead for this project and it really has to do something innovative and unique to stand out from the competition, hope the team is working on such things also partnerships with reputed projects can do wonders.
