I just did it. It might be worth noting that people don't need to "check" the box on the page. That's only if you want to receive spam from Skype, which I don't.

Another tip (got it from another forum member):
Use your Gmail account. Let's say my Gmail account is [email protected]. You can place a '.' anywhere and Gmail will still recognise it as your original account. So you can fill in your email address 3 times ([email protected], [email protected] and [email protected]). You will receive 3 codes in your [email protected] inbox. You can redeem 3 codes a month, so you'll have 3 years for free, and get 3 more next month.
