Any store can sell the confederate flag if they want to, just not on eBay. While I don't exactly agree with the new policy, they are a private business and have the right to do whatever they want. Vote with your dollar and buy somewhere else.

Even though the vast majority of bitcoin users and developers are (the children of) wealthy white people, there's nothing in bitcoin's core tenets that promotes the white race over other races. I think that's where you're confusing your readers. So to answer your question, never.

Up to last week, one could purchase a Confederate Flag cake from Walmart directly off the shelf. Today, one can't order such to be made to order, but Nazi Flag cakes from Walmart are available from all its stores across the US.

Even though I may or may not give a rats ass about the freedom aspect of Bitcoin, others do, and proudly display said freedom via purchased emblems just like those who cling to their Confederate or Nazi flags, the former no longer available for purchase here in the US and myriad places abroad as of this week in history, 2015.
