Remember wemineltc had one, and also Minergate. i would not doubt some people still have the embedded code and are using it, tho Minergate discontinued theirs. Wemineltc still has theirs tho not supported anyone can embed on their site so thats probably it

well no it's not, but i believe if they were using Minergates embedded miner it's uses the cryptonote algo which is quite cpu friendly (gpu also).
Having maybe 1000 (more?) users spend one minute a day (a few times a day, its an hour faucet i believe?) would possibly make the owner a little bit extra, hard to say how much im not experienced in botnet type things haha, but it could offset the costs of the site a bit
