But all custodial wallet are capable of doing that, the percentage of possibility that it will happen is too high in custodial wallets. Even the team isn't behind on such things, hacking the wallet will cause much damage as well when using a custodial wallet which everyone should be aware of. That's why an open-source non-custodial wallet is the most recommended place to store bitcoin, with good practice of using it.

Sure, I agree. But the problem of scammers can't be solved just by using non custodial wallets. At least, you need some services to buy and sell crypto. Decentralized exchanges won't work if you use something like BTC, XMR or LTC. So once again you may get scammed. And my opinion is that it's really important to inform people about not just "unsafe" but "really fraudulent" projects. It's a great difference between "I have a service but its unsafe so hakers can steal your coins" and "I have a service that will steal your coins".

Main problem is that just block customers with all their coins and tokens. Not all custodial wallets are making such things.

Freewallet is a custodial wallet, it's not your coins, it's theirs, and since you do not have power over it, only prayer could help you here my friend.

Thats true but it's not the biggest Freewallet issue. Main problem is that just block customers with all their coins and tokens. Not all custodial wallets are making such things.

I never transfer more then $1000 to any crypto wallet. Well the non castodial once are more safe but I no nothing about coding so cant check their codes for any unsecure monents.
Not all noncustodial wallets are safe, though. Some are open source and reproducible, while others are closed source. You should avoid closed source wallets at all costs, even if they are noncustodial

A good example is atomic wallets that was recently "hacked" and customers lost money, and they have no good explanation to what happened during the incident.

Sorry for joining BTT late, this saved me from some wallets issue.

That wallet lacks conscience and integrity, you have seen this from people's reviews. I nearly cried when I read from a victim that he sent $4.5m to them but never received it back.

This is painful as people could only be victims like this because of a lack of the right information.

A big lesson for you to learn OP, avoid custodial and web wallets. Chances of you losing your money are too high. Remember, "Not your keys, Not your coins"
it's good to know that you acquired a hardware wallet, which means at least you know that noncustodial wallets are the real deal.

I do hope freewallet gives you back your funds.

Hope this is solved asap (I need my money Angry )
Freewallet has been around for some time, and so has its reputation. In the past, there have been many victims like you. if you look for it in this thread, you will probably get quite a several accusations for the wallet.
if you look at the forum representative account, you can see the tags and flags there. it is a warning. why not withdraw your assets from the wallet earlier?
occasionally their representative account is active. but it looks like he's been inactive for quite a while. if you want to give it a try, you can proceed by sending them a PM. but I doubt it will solve your problem.
A bad reputation thats all i know
Also its OPs fault why leaving wallets like trustwallet where you can keep your keys and have full control over your coins ? Instead you went toba custodial wallet

I used to use freewallet as my main wallet because when I started at cripto it was recommended to me. Today, after reading some complains about freewallet, my ledger has arrived. First I sent some bitcoins to my ledger to check if it was alright and it arrived correctly, but when I sent the rest of my bitcoins they suspended my account transactions saying that it was suspicious. I have seen some people writing here about the same problem and decided to write too, cause I know that freewallet has an account in this forum and I really hope they read this.

I already opened a ticket, which the ID is 447583.

Hope this is solved asap (I need my money Angry )
