Hi,
I had just found a thread last night on how to do mining for Freicoin, just curious as to how long I would need to wait
CGMiner reports the following for my meager 5450 1Gb on a PCIe x1
http://members.ozemail.com.au/~nekjevic/New%20Site/digital%20currency/Freicoin%20-%20cgminer.jpgThe (5s) goes from a low 3-4M up to 14M when I use dynamic and when I use I:9 it can go up to 21M.
I tried about 6 - 8 hours on a pool - over night, and I only got 6 transactions, with each about F 0.058 ~ 0.0608.
So, my question is, how many days would it take me, on average, to find a Freicoin, and
IF I do find, what ever I am mining to find... how will I know? will I just see something all of a sudden in my Freicoin wallet? Will it show anything in CGMiner if I have found anything?
Also, if & when I am able to get a better card and CPU etc... - I am planing for a X79 mobo
(better longevity due to the Xeon range) with most likely a low end six core or a xeon cpu and hopefully an
El Cheapo 7970 card, if I start mining for Litecoin or Bitcoin, or another newer one, like Feather coin, will I just use the same set-up?
Please, do not tell me about pools, since I might leave this anemic computer
* on pools and the new one to try it out for solo. As for electricity, I have a Solar array, of which would cover most of the electricity ;-) I may add another GPU in the new one, so on one the mining can be hapening, and the other gpu for browsing and casual gaming, and when not in use, to get it to be mining on another coin.
Would I be correct / right, that if I stop the mining, I loose the "block chain" and my possibility to find something will be reset, or does it start "mining" a new block as soon as one is detected on the network
Also, one last question, what does the "Best Share" mean and the "Q:4166" of which now is 4297?...
Thank you,
A new newbie
* I am using an Intel Atom 330 1.6GHz dual core with a Radeon 5450 1GB (650/406 @ 1v), nothing overclocked.
My other current pc, of which I am not using yet, since I just got a new HDD due to failure of the primary drive, is a Q8400 with a 9600GT 2GB.
And yes, I know they are ancient, but being on a pension does not help
I was just able to find a job, so keeping my hopes that I am able to do something with these pc's. I am planing on getting the 7970 first and puting it in the with the Q8400 and slowly if I am getting returns to be able to purchase the other parts
