Just ignore France. Worst country in Europe by far.

I still think Spain might present some decent competition there... Wink

Um, have you been paying attention to the UK? Their government seems to be trying to out do the NSA in spying on it's own citizens.

I wonder how they plan to enforce it?

It's interesting: People want Bitcoin to succeed and go mainstream. Yet, when it becomes accepted and governments actually go and apply rules that govern financial instruments, they start to complain...

Holy fuck... Do the French still not understand why the Anglophone world makes jokes about them? This is why.

YOU CANNOT REGULATE BITCOIN.

You cannot regulate software. It's pretty simple.

I think that they're just trying to compete for the world championship of idiocy against the Spanish for taxing the sun.

Just amazing. Stunning. The French come out yet once again to demonstrate that they can be more idiotic than anyone...

Actually, I'm not sure... I think the Spanish laws about taxing the sun still beat out the French idiocy... But that's just me. Score yet one more failure for France. Tongue

Personally, I think the french want to crack down on anonymity because of the fact that BTC is used in shady circumstances.

I personally think France is on board with BTC, just not the fact that it's anonymous and it's easy to avoid law enforcement.

Horseshit.

French regulators also forced Amazon to not deliver books for free anymore.

The results are known.
