I have an antminer with a damaged blade that came direct from bitmain. One of the capacitors was damaged and we tried to repair it by replacing it, but it didn't help, the unit won't hash with all of the chips, but one blade still works.  I've had in my spare parts box for about a month, the last time I tried hashing with it, it was getting about 100-110 gh/s.  If you're interested in buying mine for parts PM me or just go to my website in my sig.

I've not had much luck in repairing antminers, but it also sounds like you got bait-n-switched on your ebay sale which sucks. Ebay doesn't seem to be a bitcoin miners friend...

Well I sold this on ebay like a fool. Then after the buyer received it he couldn't get it working and "then" notice burn marks.
Ebay sided with the buyer and I was out all the money. I got the unit back. I looked at it and noticed only one blade had burn marks.
I put the controller card on the other blade and attempted to use one blade. Low and behold it didn't have the default network settings.
So I checked to see if it magically reverted back to my settings when I had it. Nope. I fired up tcpdump and found it on a IP that the buyer set it too. root didn't work for the password luckily the word antminer did. I am not even sure if this is the same antminer.
So the one blade is hashing just fine now

I haven't attempted to power on the blade. Mostly because I have too many sensitive smoke detectors and management always calls when they go off and I rather not deal with that. The real question is if I can disable the burned out section of the blade and use the rest of the chips. I remember on the asicminer BE 10gh blades you were able to disable sections. Anyways sorry for the long post. So I am just wondering if it is possible to disable the bad section or if I should just toss thing out. This isn't important as I have much better mining gear but I guess I need something else to do. No worries if it can't be fixed.
