That’s cool, but these things don’t really matter to me. Whether lightening network or no lightning network, I’m still okay with how the platform works. I do see some people that complains that the network is slow and that transactions cost a lot, but I don’t really see things as that. Bitcoin transaction fee is very cheap and I don’t have any problem with the speed of transaction, though it’s less than what it used to be in the past. At least it cheap than last year transaction fee, and is faster than many payment methods.

It's good to see friendly interface wallets for lightning network.

I would like to test it myself, as I find those initiatives quite interesting

Looks likl LN is not such a big thing as everyone was expectining. When it was still in the process of being developed people talked about how great LN will be and how much it is going to help bitcoin and also the market but as it seems now that LN was launched nothing so big happened and looks like people dont even care that much about it.

More and more adoption that's coming for Lightning Network, this is the true solution. Those who have been complaining on how slow and how expensive the fees are will turn back what they have said about it.

Go Australia, looks like they are going to be one of the most friendly countries now.

Sounds like Australia don't want to be left out.
Also I found this interesting article that soon to be release and they'll use LN in their apps. I think it's cool.

Sure there's more we can watch out for LN.

My opinion is this is good news, with lightning networks, bitcoin transactions are faster, because in the past bitcoin transactions were very slow it took 45 minutes to get 3 confirmations, so with lightning networks it is hoped that bitcoin users are not worried about slow transactions.
Rather than the fast transaction confirmations it always gives increased support on buyer seller consumer relation. Because, in the past bitcoin transaction confirmations were the one that made bitcoin get unused from shops accepting bitcoin similar to currency in the locality. Coming further this will make a big change in the consumer market.
right sir, at that time Bitcoin before hardfork  there were lots of transactions that have not been confirmed on the blockchain network, besides that transaction costs also increased and made many people stop using bitcoin

but now that bitcoin already has a lightning network, transaction costs also declined I am happy to hear that

Lightning network just needs more places like Australia to take away the lead and show people how it could be so much useful and basically test it before we do to show if there are any issues with it or not. Right now there is absolutely no reason not to use LN because it is far better technology and will always be cheap compared to other options, the only reason people are not moving to that is we don't know how trustworthy it is and how solid the code is, if its perfect without any issue then we can safely say that it will be a great upgrade from the tech we are using right now.

Nonetheless, exchanges and miners may try to block it (and they do have the power to block it) because they are raking so much cash from fees already and that would mean millions of people benefiting from it while some companies losing profits from it so of course they will try to stop something that benefits millions but loses them cash.

Has Australia been this crytpo friendly forever or is this something coming new ?
Not sure if "crypto-friendly" but some banks in Australia won't lock your account or anything like that just because your buying Bitcoin: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-02-05/big-four-banks-not-planning-bitcoin-clampdown-yet/9398234

I also read a long time ago that they were trying to enforce some regulations on crypto which is something we need if we want to see cryptos reaching mainstream status. So, it seems like they're slowly turning more pro-bitcoin over the past few years, so it's not surprising that they're already trying out the LN over there.

I mean I heard about Australian amazing news recently but I do not recall anything from them in the previous years.

This new LN deal looks amazing and really would put them ahead of everyone else for a while (until others catch up with them) and that is great for all Australians that love crypto but before 2018 (2017 and before) I didn't hear anything from any Australian firm or government doing anything remotely crypto friendly.

That gotta mean they are speeding up the adoption rate and putting their hat on the ring as the crypto friendly country with Malta and Ukraine. Ukraine cleared all taxes from any crypto profits until 2030 and Malta made crypto business starting quite easy like starting a grocery shop easy. Australia could be trying to get ahead of these countries with these amazing news.

I'm not sure if we can call LN as working. It's still very new and quite experimental imo. As for the hype, that's how it works in the market. Mainstream media keep posting what's hot and after that they'll move on to another topic. When Bakkt launch, I also believe the hype won't last that long. But it will helps long-term adoption, that's for sure.

I wonder why there were so huge expectations that Lightning Network will bring bitcoin to a new level and help for the bitcoin price going to the moon. There was so much hype about LN.How,after LN is working, all the expectations and hype are gone. Grin
I hope that this project will help for further bitcoin adoption in Australia.

Seems like Australia is crypto friendly. There's also news that ShareRing, a sharering economy blockchain ecosystem , is also integrated across thousands of ETFPOS in Australia.
