Why let them get to you at all? That's obviously their own opinions, and you're obviously informed enough to form your own. They could just as easily have blown off your nagging if they don't believe in the technology.

Also, they're probably losing money because you convinced them to mine lmfao. That should be enough vengeance. Sneaky assholes are the best assholes!

Many friends of mine which I convinced them to buy a minimum of 0.01 bitcoin or to use their devices to mine because some of them have the AMD Ryzen 1700x processor which makes about 1 or more dollars daily are haunting me now because they think that bitcoin will be memories like the dotcom was in the year 1997-2000. I just read on Wikipedia for thedotcom and I think they are not the same as bitcoin because bitcoin relies on blockchain technology which is better than dotcoin.

Any arguments from the forum to shut their mouth because I am starting to get bored and pissed by their behavior, I helped them while they think I cheated them.

You mean the same dotcom saga that helped create the biggest tech companies in the world including Amazon, Paypal, Ebay and others? 90% of all cryptocurrencies will die but there will be a few of them that will survive and be the biggest investments that the world has ever seen.

It's possible but it doesn't mean you cannot benefit from it.   Nearly 20 years later, I still have dotcom/tech stock profits, some of which is invested in crypto.    Just because a game ends doesn't mean you cannot pivot.

Well, ideally you probably told them that it's a complete risk when they put their money into bitcoin. Graphs and charts are pretty, sure, but they don't really mean much in terms of the price fluctuations, especially with bitcoin. I hope you told them that the price is governed by the investors.

If you didn't, I'd have to say you pretty much screwed them over, even though they should have looked into it themselves. If you did, just say that you told them to be careful with their money. It's always a possibility that bitcoin will experience large-scale growth, especially if there are new technological developments coming up.

Maybe think about getting new friends? They sweating you over 1 bit cent. Dot com is totally different to Bitcoin is everyway. Like... To begin with the one is a currency the other is not. It's like comparing a shoe to a car tyre.

Even with Ryzen processor how much you are going to make stressing your processor and light bills,it is not worth it,the basic thing you have to understand is,you never force anyone to invest into anything, you never know the level of blame you have to hear,if something goes wrong, just inform them about the new trend and let them decide what they are going to do with it.

Here's what I think matters when did you convince them to get involved.

What was the pricepoint and how did you go about "convincing" them.

I only got actively involved in Bitcoin last June, and couldn't belive the growth that followed, I did well and made my ROI on all hardware, and was able to sell the used hardware I started out with.

Then I saw the growth quickly turn into the FOMO frenzy it became. When BTC was topping 9000-12000 and continuing up I told everyone I know who asked to not buy BTC. I explained the trend and rise to them while also relaying the knowledge I had about the network (while still learning myself). What I did say was there will be a correction, I told them if you see it hit 10 000 (CAD) and hold there then think about buying in and seeing how things play out.

I had some people come to me saying look I could have made 1000$ if I had bought, and I asked them would you have sold or held it anticipating a larger jump. They come to me now and say thanks for the advice. I know myself I get caught up pretty quick but I've also realized a cool head often prevails, and there's no shame in missing out on something because it could always be worse.

The reference to the DOTCOM bubble is that everyone at that time was investing in something they didn't fully understand because they heard they could get rich without fully understanding what it was. It was the same FOMO frenzy people went through then.

I am wanting to do the same thing.
Still contemplating whether to do this or not though. Undecided

I have some cards lying around collecting dust so I should put them in a mining rig and start doing something with them soon while coins are still mineable and have not reached complete difficulty levels which would render these cards useless in mining.
If you have money to spend then I would suggest that you hold onto it or invest in BTC, mining right now is outrageous.

This is what happens when you convince people to invest in something they do not understand, I tried to do the same with my friends but then I realize that I could be put in the same position and that is why I decided to stop talking about bitcoin to them, they still think they know better than I but I know that at the end I will be the one enjoying the profits while they will always wonder what could it have been if they just listened to me back then.

Now you could explain to them that bubble years ago created some of the biggest companies of today as well so not everything was bad.

tell them we are not at the end of the dotcom saga yet and still 1-2 years away Wink. Stay patient and really just understand that this tech is amazing.

I agree. All markets are ultimately bubbles -- real estate, precious metals, oil, base metals, bonds, fiat currencies, etc. Calling something a bubble is not saying much. The key is timing. We are still very early in this technological revolution.

The biggest difference i see is that the world was a smaller place back then . I think now a lot more people are invested or at least interested and that is mostly because of the internet , and it is easier to invest now in crypto. But what i can see happen that is similar as the dotcom bubble is that some projects won't make it , and just got a high valuation slapped on it because of decent marketing. But good projects will survive i think.

Bitcoins and Dotcom has no correlation and the upgrade in IT infrastructures that caused the dotcom is no where to blockchain technology that facilitates bitcoins transaction. Bitcoins and crypto currency in general is here to stay and the fact that price reduces doesn't mean it will be permanent.
