I'm also from Bangladesh so my biggest and trustworthy suggestion is to use xcoins as they support your above mentioned payment method even you can or you can simply use localbitcoins as it's much more reliable.

hello,

I'm from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I would like to buy bitcoins. so went to Buybitcoin.com  and filled an order. later googled that site and read a lot about if being a scam site. so im a bit scared now. do not want to get scammed.

i've already tried ecurrencyzone.com but they do not take bank deposits from Bangladesh. this is terrible. Anyway can any of you fellow Indians guide me to proper genuine links where i can buy Bitcoins. my options are Western Union, Moneygram, a friend of mine has paypal, and best option is Bank desposit.

Please help fellow Indians. please recommend me some reputed sellers/exchangers in India who would take Bank deposits or WU or Moneygram.

If you can make it to the petrapol/benapol border I can take your taka for as many bitcoins you want, face to face. I live only 3 hours away from the border.

Also you can wire the money to 'my people' in BD and I'll send you the coins once payment is confirmed. In this case there will be limits to the maximum btc you can buy.

Why dont you get it ? Its not about YOU or ME or INDIA .. its about the silly RBI (and other govt) rules that makes inter-saarc trades very tough.

I dont  think you  are  able  to  grasp  what i am  talking  about , rather  you are  missing  the point.  What i am  talking  about has  nothiing  to do  with  RBI and  the  Government.

I dont  think you  understood  my  concept , or you  are  really  trying   hard  to   sound  ignorant.

We need initiatives for those countries mate.

I had tried asking around if there were any other bloggers or enthusiasts from other countries close to India and drew a blank.

If anyone is interested, I can help tremendously in setting up the ecosystem for their country.

I am definitely interested for BD

No need to change our section, This subforum is in "Local" Category for a reason.

If some other country needs their own special subforum they can request it from theymos or simply use "other" section.

The thing is that the   sub  forum is  not   divided according to country . it  is divided  according  to  language.

Ours,  is  the  only  one  forum that is  catering  to  a  single  country,  that too an  English  speaking  forum.

I know  national  sentiments  are  high, but  look  here bitcoin is not  about   nations. it transcends  nations. I just  think it  is  a  good   idea  if  we  have  a  big  south Asian(English speaking)  community.

We  in india  have  a problem  with  not  many  bitcoiners,  so  why not   widen  the  net  to involve more  participation from  others  who  may  be  struggling to  find a  community  to  get  involved  with.

It's not about Language either,Local section is divided into bigger part of worlds, there are hundred of languages in world and you can't make subforum for each specific lanugage.

Indian subforum is here because it's a big country with a very big population.

Ps: Almost all guy on internet knows english very well, then what's the point of making local section? Well the point is,local section gives opportunity to meet and interact with your own local peoples, send and recieve payments with ease.

and If there are enough peoples from other south asian countries who think they need an special forum, They should request theymos to make an Asia forum and put india, china, bangladesh etc as subforums.

Wanna sell farmers your Bitcoins ? be my guest.

Dont take me the wrong way, I AM from a farming family.

Didn't quite get  the joke  you were  trying  to make.  an  elaboration  may help.

Forget the joke.

All I m saying is that a united forum creates more problems than solutions. I m just proposing a separate board for all the SAARC countries - until I get rich enough to own a bank and facilitate charge free transactions in all the SAARC countries.

Ahaaa  ....  well  the  beauty about problems  is  the  solutions  that come  about .  remember these solutions  will only  work  when a  community  spirit  is  fostered. I am all about  creating  a  open  and  friendly community.  Creating, to many sub forums  will only  divide  the   bitcoin  community  which is  not a  good  thing.   We  the  few  members  are now in the  forefront  to having a  cross border community, and  then  flood of  new  ideas and changes that come  with it. greater  collaboration and faster  growth.

Now  if  you are  against  reaching  your  hand  over the border  and  integrate  the  south asian  members, then i dont  know   how  an  isolationism of  The indian  community  would  help us in the long  run .

OK.  speaking  on hypothetical terms, although  i  feel  greatly that it is  possible. but....   ok  back to  what i was  saying Hypothetically

A South  asian  integrated group (English speaking) (May be sub-forum for  national  languages)
 Effect :
Members  increase ,
Participation  on the  forum  increase .
Ideas  and  solution  to  trade start to take  place.
Bitcoin  trade increases (legendster you benefit  from this)
Mining  collaboration  may  increase .
New services   start up to  cater  to  the  problems  that  come  up .(Solutions  to  problems every one  is  talking about)

We can't always  go and  say "our group, no one  dare  enter it, my  country  my  say  i don't  like  sharing". But, what we  have  to  say  is "au contraire".
I always say, sharing  is  loving, and to love thy neighbor is the noblest of all  attributes.

I think  this  calls  for  a  new  thread proposing  this  idea.

Looking at  this  thread,  i think  a  suggestion  to  have  this   forum  cater  to   south  Asia   is  far  better   than   just  India.

let it  include  India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sir Lanka, Pakistan, Burma.

What do you all  think  about that.

Ufff, rather not Smiley

Too many problems will arise with such a team up. Each of the countries should be free to choose if they want to use our thread or not.

Well the  thing is that, if you  notice Our  India  forum is  the only  country  specific  forum   in Bitcointalk , , the  rest of the local  forum is  language  specific.

Our forum has  become  more  like  a  location  forum for  english  speakers, and  i think expanding it  to include  other  countries  would  give  rise  to  alot  of  other  english  speakers in  south  asia  who  would  like  to participate  in the  bitcoin community .

So,  if  South  asia  is  unified  we  pool in  more   resources,  beter   collaboration more members, and  more  problems,  which is  a  good  thing  as  problems  give  rise  to   innovative  solutions  and ideas . Bitcoin does not  really  recognize borders. and i  think  we  should  also  tear  down  borders.

Why not expand the Indian board to include all South Asian countries? Think of it as an Indian sub-continent board instead of just an India board.

Because there exists no payment system that works as smoothly as a national cash transfer.

The languages in India are already in a huge variety adding countries like SL, maldives, Pakistan will NOT be a cool thing to do.

Although I support the idea of AKHAND BHARAT in reality.

What has payment system got anything to do with it? People selling/buying coins can always specify what payment methods they accept.

All the countries in the sub-continent have English speaking populations. Language is not going to be an issue. If it does become an issue we can split the boards.

LOL payment systems has got EVERYTHING to do with bitcoins, a person willing to buy bTC in Bangladesh or Pakistan will not be able to smoothly transact with a person selling coins from - nepal ..  (Oh yes there IS a miner in Nepal who is pretty popular)

What kind of bull is this? Have you not heard of western union, moneygram, swift wire transfer, moneybookers ? All of these are international money transfer systems available around the world.

And anyway there is no reason why people have to transact with those living outside their country. They can deal with their own countrymen. From the main marketplace:

UK bank transfer: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wtb-btc-for-uk-bank-transfer-230123
In person in New York: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/buying-btc-in-person-in-nyc-for-cash-193315

Lets keep this thread dedicated to what it was intended for. A guy from BD willing to buy from India and lets not go to that place where we both end up pissing each other off.

As far as those payment systems are considered, none of them are flawless and there are heavy restrictions imposed on individuals sending money out from a country like India.

The WHOLE IDEA of a subforum is to facilitate people from the same country to interact with each other and transact with each other, do meetups, cash exchange etc .. obviously no one would go to maldives from bhutan JUST because he met a guy on Bitcoin Talk's United India forum to BUY btc ..

Hello Bangaladeshi's,

Would be great if you guys are more active and participate on the forums.

Was wondering how popular Bitcoin is in BD?

Would you guys prefer a sticky under Bangladesh under our Indian subforum?

Can also get something going under Regional languages until there are enough members to get a local subforum for Bangaldesh.

Also wanted to know payment methods and regulations in and out of Bangladesh.

Anyone who has been following the BTC movement for a long time in BD?

Any bloggers from BD?

Would be awesome to engage some of these answers and get involved.

I can write in bengali.. not in bengali script on computer per se, but in bengali.. Im from kolkata after all Cheesy

and Bitcoin in Bagladesh is very very new.. and a very alien concept to many, you are talking about a country where 60% of the population doesnt have electricity or clean drinking water. Some villages even have the 16 anna concept running.

but with that said the business sector in Dhaka Khulna and Chitagong are thriving, especially the IT sector.

I would even like to propose a 'Separate Board for Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan' with me (at least in the BD board) as an admin.
