Ok this is it, I am finally done with this piece and to commemorate the 10th
anniversary of the Bitcoin Whitepaper I have added a note on the back which
is varnished onto the acrylic Gold back. This when it dries will be extremely hard
and resilient.

One of the panels has my name and the year '18 textured in and the other
panel has the Bitcoin symbol textured in.

What's up with those peanuts?

I have left this idle for 3 months or so and would like to bump
it up to see if there is any interest.

I would be open to offers on this if there is any interest...

So here are images of the second last step in this piece.
I have added a lighter orange to tie in more of the bitcoin colour.

The last step will be something small to mark the date of October 31st,
and that will be truly be it finalised.

Well done, I love abstract art. It's done very subtly as well, very nice! Smiley

Thank you ZipReg.
This is my first crypto related art piece. I have plans for another.
I am working on a few ideas but getting the time for me atm is a problem.

So with another bump I have taken some ideas from a member of
the community and added a colour associated with Bitcoin - Orange
and adding extra veins and spots of Gold over which will be added
2 coats of acrylic satin varnish.

Time for a bump!

FYI I have applied the last layer of satin varnish to the piece and a layer
of Gold paint to the back to cover the primed surface, image to follow
at a later stage.

Thanks for visiting.

Yes I work fast, especially with Acrylic paint as it dries quickly. Since I
started the project i added something every day and more frequently
at the weekends.

I am not a professional artist and dont propose to be so this was my
only project i focussed on wheras I guess a professional would possibly
be working on a number of projects at any one time, focusing on
possibly a few themes with different media also.

Thanks for dropping the nane of Miguel Najera Loera, i like his work
now but have not heard of him before.

Wow, that was relatively fast.  It took months for a piece I commissioned from Miguel Najera Loera called the 2BITCAR.  You did a great job, not quite my taste but, I am sure others will enjoy it

Best of luck with your sale. Smiley

So this project is 99% completed. The only tasks left to do is to add my signature
and apply a layer of varnish to protect the surface. I have really enjoyed the
experience and learned some new techniques which I can apply to further pieces.

The aim of the project was to create something which someone would appreciate
and reward me for the effort and in return acquire something uniquely BTC related,
So with a touch of apprehension and or reservation this piece is now for sale.

I will also be including my notes and preparation sketches with this.

I just have to work out the finer details of whether to use escrow, postage and packaging, etc.

Two close up images of the detail added with some structure or texture applied.
The next stage of the project will be to add some shapes which will define the
bitcoin theme.

I hope to have this ready for the weekend.

Next bit of progress was building some layers to create some texture,
shade and some colour using five basic colours including Black and White.

Next set should show some detail added to possibly enhance the form or define some structure . . . possibly

Thanks for following, Next update:

Got the work surface along with the rear of the piece primed to help the
adhesion of the paint and to seal the wood from moisture. The back of the
piece will get a layer of paint at the end for further protection.

I also applied a base layer of white acrylic to the work surface and the sides.

Next up is the creative layering.

The idea behind this is to create an original piece of ART with a Bitcoin theme.
I plan to make the work from scratch and I will post the progress here so all
get an idea of the processes involved. The work will be sold or auctioned at
the end, I'm not sure which.

A bit about myself: I have been practicing ART on and off for over 30 years
and had planned to go to ART college after school but other things came up
and led me along a different path. I do some Graphic Design as part of my Day
Job and my house is king of a ART exhibition at the moment with all my own
work displayed.

A bit about the project:
Acrylic paint on Cradled Hardboard
The size is 67.3cm x 59cm x 3.8cm
Theme: Bitcoin

Stage 1: Building the Cradled work surface
