every exchange has some bad things and some good things, but for Binance and FTX,
I think these two exchanges are the best besides Coinbase, I myself still use Binance as my main exchange,
and play on other exchanges too, like FTX, Hotbit, even Huobi. keep calm and make sure your wallet is safe

I will side with a product that has a high reputation in the crypto circles and still holds the largest user base compared to all exchanges( centralized exchanges maybe Roll Eyes ) , and btw I haven't used FTX before so its just fair I side with an exchange I have used before, sorry FTX loyalty is the name of the game.

By the way is FTX any good since its being compared with one of the biggest centralized exchanges around Roll Eyes otherwise I honestly see this to be an easy win for Binance as not many people know or use FtX imo.

Both exchange are best but I prefer binance exchange is best binance have full security system and also low trading fee so too much people like this we can put or exit any order within seconds on binance  FTx is also best  but now some feature not good in FTx
i think you have not used ftx exchange yet, both of exchange great btw comparatively low fees in ftx.
i am crazy fan of use binance btw i did not agree to pay high withdrawal fee in eth, so that i feel need to use ftx.

Binance is the best exchange because Binance is an old exchange, so they have a robust security system and low trading fees, while Ftx is a fairly new exchange, but I'm sure in the future Ftx will overtake Binance.
The competition will be increasingly diverse day by day because of the growth of exchanges that will enliven crypto and of course this is good news because it will make it easier to find alternatives in the event of something unavoidable, such as costs that may become expensive with the growing price of the coin that supports it.

but it seems ftx still needs to provide innovations that many convenience lovers can accept as a reliable exchange. but for now binance is still the best and will probably be hard to compete in the next few years. will it happen in the future? must first be shown the performance to be made.

Now, fee on BSC is becoming to be expensive and Binance have yet resolved it. Will they be able to resolve it or fail like Ethereum? And it will be time for younger chains to show off, like Solana and FTX exchange?
I've been always bias regarding Binance since I used that for a long time up to now. But based on the side comments here, maybe I should open up on trying out FTX, been hearing a lot about the good interface and some crazy feature FTX brings. But of course I can't compare the two unless Ive used ftx already. Seems FTX are eyeing to be the next binance after all.

So I've migrated to FTX basically because my impression is that the counterparty risk is considerably less... ie SBF seems less sketchy than CZ. Not sure if my instincts are right about this, but I am willing to hear any opinions about the matter.
I do accept the fact that CZ is one of the shady characters in the cryptocurrency space and he has a lot of power as he created a monopoly, literally purchasing everything. When it comes to use case, i am yet to use FTX but after reading all the comments here regarding their much lower fees than Binance, i will use them and then make my comment on its user interface.

Binance is as good as you think for margin trading, as I'm doing trading on binance for a long which is better to use and easy for getting profit, I must say that margin trading may also give you profit, If I talked about FTX then,  I have not that much knowledge about the FTX but I had mostly hear great about the binance.

Between the two, I would prefer to use both of them. They are two great exchanges, and they have so much to offer for the users. If you had to split your investments in cryptocurrency, I think these are the two exchanges to choose from, and that's something to say because they are something, and they are at the top.

What I like about FTX is the charity movement, and I think I have seen it first there than Binance. I guess they just followed or something. Another thing to like in FTX is the stocks feature where they have these different stocks, and you can buy it, but it's tokenized. At least you still have the opportunity of owning it.

Right and KYC is mandatory right now.

Wrong, FTX offer lower fees compared to Binance. It looks doesn't that much, but if you're a trader such difference is worth to gain more profit.

In terms of security, binance is secure.
You may need to read this thread Hacked Exchanges since 2011 and search "Binance" you'll find they ever got hacked before. It doesn't mean FTX is very secure since there's no hacked history, but it will happen once in the future. That's the risk of CEX.

Binance is still preferable to me in terms of trading layout, accessibility and diverse options to choose from. I know ftx is big on supporting Sol ecosystem and binance on the other hand supports bnb. In terms of security, binance is secure. I haven't heard any complain about ftx but the risk is  there if you use cex! I like cex experience in this regard and they is why I will choose binance over ftx!

I've used both, and currently only Binance I still use as a trading platform.
however, I think people will prefer Binance over FTX. even when you have an inkling, or even something else about the advantages of FTX, but the truth is that binance has always been the top trading platform in the crypto world. this is not just my speculation, but judging by its development, binance is slowly mastering some important things in the cryptocurrency world.

I exacrly prefer to Binance because so far, I use Binance, never FTX. Binance is the top exchange with many features and programs. They also prpvide some types of trading, launchapd or launchpool, and some others.
Binance also has super friendly display even for newbies, easy to use and learn, fast, and also reputable.
But, I heard that FTX offer lower fees. Is it right?

sorry in advance, have you really never heard about FTX?  it really doesn't make sense to me. for now binance is still superior to FTX but in the long run I'm sure FTX will be able to shift the dominance of finance. I currently use FTX more because it's very simple imo compared to binance, besides that the fees on FTX are very cheap.

FTX continues to be developed and the potential is really huge.
Binance will serve to be the superior for all the exchanges due to its continued development and the lunch of new features along with the exchange service. FTX is very new in the market and it requires time to be compared with Binance. Right now FTX is seen much on the T20 World Cup advertising. For its low fee it has been gaining importance. Not the fee alone matters, there is far more things when we consider using a new platform.

But I have to be honest, I MUCH prefer the Binance trading terminal layout, especially for margin trading. I have yet to do any margin trading on FTX, but it looks like you have to open an entirely new window to see your liquidation price. And what about the Repay feature? How does it work with FTX, do they just automatically repay when the trade hits your Take Profit?
In the recent crash scenarios, Binance has so many times proven to be very shady, one shady thing that they do is the instant crashing of Binance terminal whenever the market crashes, the second shady thing is how Price always dumps more on Binance than it does on any other exchange which means unnecessarily liquidation points of many people get hit despite overall market not even going into that area. I think FTX is a better exchange overall and will become very popular in the future, the only problem currently they have is less number of listed markets and secondly slightly lesser liquidity than Binance, with the aggressive marketing strategies they will soon become the number 1 exchange.

FTX is taking their advertising to next level that is why you even started to compare it with Binance but still Binance is bigger meanwhile there are some reasons for people to chokse FTX over Binance due to the recent mandatory KYC policy change on Binance but FTX won't take that much longer to make it as mandatory.

I never margin traded at FTX but did futures trades there.

What I liked -
Quick execution
Low spreads so I don't need to wait longer to get into profits
Less fees in trading

What I didn't like -
Liquidation price is not too far (may be this is for our account's financial standings to keep some funds remaining after early liquidation).

Moreover, I like how they didn't charge me anything when I withdrew all types of cryptocurrencies including btc and even eth (only 1 free withdrawal per day allowed for eth or any erc20 tokens). Meanwhile, you can stake FTT as shown in the table (scroll a bit) to get more free eth and erc20 withdrawals daily.

I think, that's their attractive feature here, no withdrawal fees. And even with eth, they are at least allowing 1 free transaction which is already good for those who are avoiding expensive fees. However, when it comes to KYC aspect, you need to undergo also compulsory KYC before you can deposit and trade, which is no difference with Binance now. But do they have SAFU like binance, some sort of insurance to users?

i have not used ftx exchange, i heard in this exchange cheap withdraw fees, then i created account btw i can not deposit without kyc.
i submitted kyc before 2 weeks ago btw it's reviewing till now.

Also, this one, binance has faster approval of KYC. 2 weeks is a long wait. Do they say any reason why such long process?

right binance approved my kyc in few minutes, i'm little bit surprised to see very faster kyc process.
i tried to contact in ftx support btw i did not response may be. taken over 2 weeks btw still identity isn't verified,
i never seen in other exchanges.

According to the coinmarketcap https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/fintrux-network/ the volume daily was around 6k$ to 7K$ something,
But I don't understand, to some of the coins listed over this platform just like Bitcoin its volume was huge according to it, maybe it is only for the FTX trading pair itself, but I don't see the FTX ticker name over this exchange actually it was FTT appeared instead of FTX.

Never have any as well on the FTX exchange are they mainly focus on derivatives, am I right? I think it's nice exchange to have if you are into futures and margins only but for some folks that doesn't want some high risk type of trading better to use Binance. That less fee on trading or having free 1 withdrawal a day is the best thing to hook new users or margin and futures traders.

I don't have any experience in FTX since binance is more popular here in my country. So what i can share here is only a feedback for binance.  And yes what i love with binance is we can easily trade our fiat to usdt  if we want fill our account to trade using their features, unlike other platforms thay you need to used crypto based wallet to transfer a capital.. Also including the fees wherein so affordable, perhaps that's the reason why most people here in our country always used binance when it comes trading crypto.  Grin

Never heard of FTX so I will stay with the usual which is Binance.
Now, even if by some reason a bad event happens that makes Binance the worst exchange ever, it won't be that FTX which is next on line.
There are more exchange that have the upper hand than new ones. First and may be the last of those reasons will be it's trust rating in the crypto community.
I might pick Kucoin next to Binance which is my back up exchange center.

You didn't mention what FTX is exactly you talking about there is FTX exchange and Blockfolio which is recently rebranded to FTX.
Blockfolio was occupied by ftx earlier this year if I can remember correctly. Ftx is one of the rising popular exchange this days though I don’t personally like their UI. However, they have made a great progress. Their acquisition of Blockfolio app proved that they are getting serious with great mission vision.
If I'm to compare the feature OP mentioned, I would easily pick Binance.

Why choose one if you can trade on both platform? both of them is good exchange and for sure there are coins listed on FTX doesn't been listed on binance yet so maybe its good to explore on good markets. But if you like binance more than any other exchange then better stick on what you believe since its undeniable that binance is the top 1 exchange and we can really trust them in terms of technicalities and in security aspects.

Binance is much better for trading. I always use Binance for Spot and Furure trading. now a days FTX is also a better exchange and lot of people use FTX now, for trading and holding there crypto-currency. specially people use FTX for holding crypto-currency. Coz of FTX always charge low withdraw fees for all crypto-currency coin and token then another Exchanger like Binance, kucoin, gate.io and others

Well lots of issues are being thrown to Binance these days like locking of account without any prior warnings hence locking up funds. Personally, I haven't encountered these accusations but lots of proofs were available. Another thing to be considered in choosing between the two is volume. Binance is far ahead in terms of volume. Its 39B$ daily volume is far ahead to FTX 3.7B$. Nonetheless, im pretty comfortable with binance. I don't know but for me its far superior in terms of volume and activity. But, FTX CEO vision is much profound than Cz. His mission to help others and not to enrich himself is quite rare these days.

You didn't mention what FTX is exactly you talking about there is FTX exchange and Blockfolio which is recently rebranded to FTX.

I actually only use their app Blockfolio for tracking but never use their investment function or trading function.
I won't trade on FTX if you compared them with Binance(Never heard FTX exchange before just now) so I will choose Binance for safety. I know Blockfolio is known safe but it doesn't mean that using their own trading platform will be also safe.

However, since there are few people here already given some reviews about this I will think a bit to use their trading platform.
Check the big review here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5350943
And it seems that they don't ask for a Bitcoin withdrawal fee according to some users?

You never heard of FTX before?

It was created by Sam B Fried the guy is worth like $20B or so. I first heard about him because it was Alamedao research which was a market maker in the day now they got their own exchange. It’s definitely legit .

They also sponsored and got their logo and name on many sporting areas. He is doing a great job in making people aware of crypto.

It's actually the other way around, as FTX exchange bought Blockfolio app back in may 2020 for $150M and then recently renamed  it to FTX. Another interesting info; Binance was among early FTX investors but their CEO Sam Bankman-Fried decided to buyback the shares and distance himself from Binance. Smart move imho.

FTX simply because I think it's the exchange that is safer from the authorities compared to Binance which is pretty much always in the legally grey area. Not to mention the significantly lower(or sometimes free) withdrawal fees on FTX.
Yep, pretty much this. I still mostly use Binance though, but with all the current restrictions I am starting to have some doubts about them so I think it's a good idea to have contingency plan, which in my case is FTX.

Really guys? FTX is quite famous even they are a young exchange and need to grow up more to catch up with Binance. Do you know Solana project and its blockchain?
I am also surprised that so many people here don't know about FTX. They remind me of Binance from those early days several years ago. On top of that, people keep forgetting that Binance is not that old as well.

Really guys? FTX is quite famous even they are a young exchange and need to grow up more to catch up with Binance. Do you know Solana project and its blockchain?

FTX is one of backers of Solana project and they opt-in Solana for their exchange deposit and withdrawal. They are too generous with fee and you can check with FTX's Blockchain deposits and withdrawals

I am using both but I only most using Binance when I am more interacting with fiat currency like converting your fiat currency to cryptocurrency or converting your cryptocurrency to fiat. Because Binance supports different fiat countries from different country especially their P2P trading.

While on FTX, I'm thankful that Binance supports withdrawal from Tron Network and Solana Network on USDT, so I can easily transfer my funds to FTX and do some trading there.
User interface is good on Binance but the performance sometimes I really don't appreciate it, compare to FTX.

"If it's not broken, don't fix it". I am still fine with Binance. When this will change, I'll look for something else. I don't have FTX account yet and I'm not eager to do tests.
Agreed, FTX is huge but I still stick by Binance. Binance may not be the best due to all the local legal restrictions but at least it is obliging and in the long term I do not see a way out of this. Sooner or later there will be no way of evading this.

However, both exchanges are good with high volumes and trusted, and usually it is all about user preference!

Same here.Ive been a Binance user for years and im long time verified so i dont worry about that KYC thing that they had imposed recently to be mandatory. All of trading stuffs and features is already
here which i dont really see any reason on why would i leave out with this exchange and try something new.Its not that shit actually since it do came from in a known service but establishing reputation
is something that cant really be attained in short time but having this one is really still a good option to have.

each exchange is good in its own way, but the binance has recently been very bent under the regulators, mandatory verification has been introduced, many do not like it, at any time regulators can ask for any information from the exchange, and I doubt that the binance will refuse them, and I am not very familiar with FTX, I traded a couple of times, did not consider anything unusual, except that the withdrawal was free at one time, I liked it.

I mostly know about the binance, which is quite simple to trade in, and through which you can easily withdraw your money, also I must say for the beginners it is as simple as he can use it. And the forth most thing is the security of the binance which is has a strong security system, and can be very awesome for trading as compared to FTX.

FTX or Binance are exchanges that both provide convenience for trading. We all know Binance is currently a very popular crypto Exchange and even the Best Exchange for Altcoins right now.

If I had to choose FTX or Binance, I would say that they both have their advantages. Binance has many excellent features and with many altcoins already listed.
Meanwhile, FTX has the advantage of cheaper fees and is a popular derivatives exchange managed by the young genius Sam Bankman-Fried.

Check out the FTX and Binance comparison below.

Before selecting the exchange, the first thing you should know is how you feel about one exchange when you trade because that is important. We selected one exchange as our favorite because we found the convenient thing we do not get from the other exchanges. So far, I have suggested Binance for beginners as Binance has many altcoins to trade. But if you move your coins to FTX because you found benefits than in Binance, that means you can get your convenience in FTX than Binance.

I'm still preferring to stay with Binance but when things got to rap in binance then I'll go elsewhere like FTX but I still have no experience this exchange.
So with my experience on Binance, I'm good as it is right now when it comes to layout and the customer experience when I've needed someone to assist me with my deposit, they've helped me in just a few minutes.

consider Kraken instead. I know it doesn't get the same temporary hype as other exchanges have done over the years (Bitmex, Binance, now FTX) but it looks like a solid exchange.
May be not the same volume, but even lower fees than FTX for futures trading

Exactly, I don't understand why people buy too much into those marketing strategy of having free things. I prefer paying for something provided I'm having the best experience ever. These new companies only use this tricks to attact customers to their platforms and as soon as they get enough customer they stop and change their terms and conditions instantly.

Both are centralized exchange so what's the different, I still have to give up my privacy to be able to enjoy the benefits of both exchange. Binance has more track record so why leave them. Yes they're getting attacks from government but don't forget only the best are usually attacked. How's the customer care service on both exchange, I haven't used FTX so I don't have any ideas but so far Binance has no flaw excluding the obvious disadvantages of using a centralized exchange.

Binance support more cryptocurrency obviously which increase the trading choices for traders and has more years of operation so traders should favor binance over FTX automatically.

FTX looks interesting, I haven't heard of it before but just checking it out seems like it's pretty okay. I'd reckon it's a nice exchange but I'm biased with Binance since it's been the one I'm using for quite some time now. I see no reason to leave really, it's not like there's much difference in KYC requirements when it comes to both exchanges, and as for the tools, I'm not really one to actually nitpick them so I'm fine with whatever as long as it works for what I want to do. I'd still go for Binance ngl.

Maybe this doesn't sound helpful, but I want to make you take into account people's.. inertia. Too many may prefer Binance just because they're already there.
This could change over time, but not as soon as some predicted.

You didn't mention what FTX is exactly you talking about there is FTX exchange and Blockfolio which is recently rebranded to FTX
I believe that OP is referring to the FTX exchange and not its crypto tracking app.

And it seems that they don't ask for a Bitcoin withdrawal fee according to some users?
It's okay if they don't ask for withdrawal fees. It's just a strategy to get more customers on their platform since it's relatively a new one. It's the same way Binance started out in 2017 when it came on board. And today, Binance ranks top on the exchange list. Its trust rating has grown over the years.

Well OP, you just put FTX in a handicap match with Binance by asking that question as which to choose if faced with option of picking one of them. A lot of traders will go for Binance. I will go for Binance too.

FTX simply because I think it's the exchange that is safer from the authorities compared to Binance which is pretty much always in the legally grey area. Not to mention the significantly lower(or sometimes free) withdrawal fees on FTX.

I still far prefer Binance's UI/UX tho.

Agree into this one.I havent heard out about FTX until you had elaborated that this was Blockfolio which had been my tracker app for how many years already but i wasnt unknown that FTX exchange.

In torn between FTX and Binance? Then i would go with Binance 100% without any doubt even though lets say that FTX is also good but it hadnt really able to established out their reputation

which is totally to far in gap with Binance but well we do have our own preferences and choices though then its up to you whether you do push it out or not.

So I've migrated to FTX basically because my impression is that the counterparty risk is considerably less... ie SBF seems less sketchy than CZ. Not sure if my instincts are right about this, but I am willing to hear any opinions about the matter.
