I don't think politics is a scam,if it's not good you,you just have to quit.Because as far as I know,so many person's are benefiting from it,so to those people,if you call it a scam,they will even want to beat you or get very mad at you.
It all depends on the way you follow it,and the party and people you follow,that will determine whether you will be a loser or a winner,but it's never a scam.
It is only those who haven't been successful in it that will call it scam.

Reality mate. Politics is just a way for the government to tell us that we are under their control. Sure we vote them, but in the end they still get to be part of the government which just controls us in the end. Its full of lies and scams and every little thing that you just want to burn and throw in the trash can so that everything can be over with it. 

They don't defend their own interest, usually they are puppets and defend interests of the ones bringing them the biggest reward (ok they are defending their interest, but in its most basic form).

I hope you live in a country where it isn't mandatory. There are many countries where you have no choice. They will even punish you for not voting. This includes countries like Brazil and Australia. It's usually just a fine, but it's a big hassle. Some people justify compulsory voting by saying that voting is one of a citizen's duties. If you was the rights of a citizen you must fulfill the duties. There are many arguments against it too though. I think that people think that politics is fucked up mainly because thry know how dirty, fake, and terrible the world of politics is. And as the people of the country that is govern by the politicians, we are primarily affected by these. Since politics is a game for power and influence, they tend to deceive people's mind and perception. They hide what they want people not to be seen. They speak what they think people must be able to hear. They talk whatever they think people needs to know. Politics is perhaps the filthiest system as it can also serve and cause for another filthy system to occur. Since they hold great power, they can also have great alliance with the twisted businesses.

Agree, if you dont vote then you acknowledge the system because your vote eventually goes to leading party that you dont like...imagine that 90% of people dont vote then parties that have largest amount of members will always wins and have monopoly over others

Politicians are middlemen that emerged due to our inability to maintain active social links with a large number of people; hence the need for representation. However, we must look at how we can use trustless systems to provide better governance, trustless representation and remove the middleman of politics. Just like BTC set the stage for a change in money supplies, we need to leverage trustless systems for a new political system.

Wow, what an emotional post. Unfortunately, if you knock out politicians with one punch it won't get you very far. It would probably only get you to jail. The politicians will then wake up and continue doing what they always do. Even if a politician didn't wake up, things would still continue just about as usual. Just about all politicians have a big team behind them with similar goals and ideals. It's not hard for them to replace a "knocked out" politician with another one who with to the same things. I agree though that more often than not elections are a joke. It's like choosing between a burger and fries or a whole pizza. Neither will be that good for you, but there's no other choice.

That's not true, by voting you ATTEMPT to change the system which is screwed. Maybe one day your vote will go to a candidate that will actually change things.

People may be bothered by the lacking of meaningful actions on their lives by goverment, but I would much rather have a government which minded to themselves (at least regarding my life) then one which is in my business and constantly harassing me with penalties, fines, regulatory changes, etc.

By not voting you're allowing them to choose for you. Not like your vote ever mattered, but still, you can always say that you wanted to change something.
On the other hand nothing ever changes because political parties are basically the same. Some are more shifted towards free trade, some towards social services, but they all want one and the same thing above all else. To fill their own pockets.
