I know for a fact this is happening.

Someone sent me a PM about something and I responded to him with something nobody else could know.

2 other trolls that day brought up that information in response to a couple of posts of mine. Either they are sock pockets or they all sit in the same (chat)room.

You think they're part of a government conspiracy or there's just a group of them? I think it's pretty clear that there are many accounts belonging to the same fudsters and I'm pretty sure people have been paid to troll or spread fud against certain companies threads on here.

No, I doubt it is any government conspiracy. More than likely people who's livelihood relies on the current financial system and see Bitcoin as a threat.

If Apple had a web forum you'd probably see Micro$oft people on there trolling all the time, even from work being encouraged by their co-workers to do so and tolerated by management.

I think you nailed it on the head.  Wink

I have seen people, who were jealous about someone's success and who went on forums to try to discredit him. They failed, because he, posted the truth. { I always think of that, when I read all the FUD being spread} - Just read some comments on reddit, when someone WIN this :

It's not unusual to have negative threads pop up... but this has elevated to new heights.
We all know the old pump n dump methods... which normally happen after price gain so they can load up for the next purchase... however this is becoming more consistent regardless of price.
I'm starting to believe a lot these fudsters are sponsored by banks & other govt interest.
If folks are down on btc why even bother coming here?... why not just go on to your next investment?... do they actually think the masses are going to jump ship based on their anti-bitcoin rhetoric?
My scientific wild ass guess says that 90% of these doom & gloomers have ulterior motives and should be ignored... in otherwords don't feed the trolls.

I doubt it. I think they're with just trolls or have their own interests. Most just seem like idiots or children who think they can manipulate the price by fudding but all they're doing is trolling people. Ignore them cos they only post to get a reaction out of people.

... such as online games like runescape and WOW...

i guess i should reactivate my wow account to get some insider information

As flippant as your comment is, being naive to the rality that skills learned within those platforms would not migrate to RL is foolish. Critical thinking is vital for your success.

actually i do agree with you to a certain point...anyway...my comment was meant to be fun...looks like you didn't find it amusing...Humorous thinking is vital for my life at all

Perhaps the use of /emotes would convey your intention. Smiley

It is a fact that social engineering is at play in order to move market sentiment with the goal to undervalue BTC to maximize trading any selected alt coin that is being pumped. This past weekend it was ltc today it is drk. Once it hits the target BTC/alt price point they make the move back to BTC and leave the altcoin Jonny come lately holding the altcoin bag.

This is not new and since the introduction of dogecoin and darkcoin it has been used as vehicle for said strategy.

Unfortunantly our complacency to stop such behavior. With the introduction of new social environments such as online games like runescape and WOW, we have raised a generation of selfish perpitrators and scam artist that have refined market manipulation via the introduction of MMOs and virtual markets within those sandbox environments.  Those learned skills are now being used in the finance sectors and used here to distract from the value of BTC.

Fud or Fed Busters?

I like your point of view on this, unfortunatly there are NO way to stop it. The only way would be for the moderators to delete posts like that, but we would not want "censorship" being enforced in a public forum.

Everyone have a right to their opinion, no matter how dumb it is. The alterior motive is easy to explain.... people get paid to spread negative rumours, to try and stop something, that might harm their economic interest.

Bitcoin has many enemies {Other people and companies, who are making LOADS of money, from their monopoly on certain financial areas} When competition step in, they feel threatened and they use all their power and money, to try to eliminate it.

Bitcoin is disruptive in nature, and it can destroy HUGE companies. {Question is, will they allow it? or pay people to discredit it?}
