You see, this discussion wey we dey get for here na one thing wey don dey worry my mind for so long. We don dey hear about all these things since we be small pikin until now wey we don dey grow up. And we don come sabi say government don dey used to they make promises and dem go dey fail for their promises. If we go mention the promises wey government don make wey dem no fulfill, e go be like say we dey pour water inside basket. E mean say we no go ever finish to talk about dem until today.

I fit give example with the last government of Muhammadu Buhari administration wey promise say fuel pump price go reduce to below 100 Naira. We no see am. In fact, dem even increase am to over 200 Naira during him regime. Dem still promise other things like say we go get constant electricity. We never see am for once. Dem still promise during their regime say Port Harcourt refinery go start production for December 2016. Na 2024 we dey now, and that promise never happen for the past president administration.

Now, we dey under new government again. Dem don promise say fuel prices go be very small, wey every average Nigerian fit go to fuel station buy fuel without stress. Dat one no happen. In fact, e dey stress-free but fuel price don skyrocket to over 695 Naira for some places, even reach 700 or 800 Naira depending on the location wey you dey. All these na promises wey dem make and dem never fulfill.

The fear wey dey for my mind anytime we dey talk about these pressing issues na say, if government continue like this, e go just dey give people impression say government no fit dey trusted. And many people don already lose hope for anything wey concern government. So now, dem just dey live for themselves, no dey bother about other people promises, and just dey do their own thing. The reason why you go see good people wen enter government turn to bad people na because of corruption and people wen dey use government power to oppress the masses.

The problem wey Nigeria dey face today na systemic issue. E dey for the system of government, no be the people per say, but of course, na the people form the system. And na why the system don already dey designed like dat, say na either you join dem or you leave, because you no get power to make choice for yourself. Else, them go just remove you from that position.

So now, na this time wey we need leaders wey dey at the top to begin make holistic change for our attitudes, make dem make strict laws and principles wey everybody go gree follow. Whether you be government official or you dey hold high position for government, you suppose obey the rule of law. If you commit any crime or anything, government go use their power against you. But if everybody wey dey up there dey feel say dem dey above the law, e go always be issue with people or top government officials wey go dey undermine the rule of law.

The change suppose really start with our leaders, and not with us per say, even though we also get our own bad contribution wey we dey do to the current failing institution of government. Our leaders suppose lead by example.

You don already talk am finish boss, I no need to add anything, this country wey we Dey now E don reach the level wey be say everybody go don understand who our government be na, our government no Dey talk and do am again, since I grow up I never see where government don promise the country something and them do am and that thing don Dey government blood to the extent wey be even if good person enter government sit he will start to Dey do promise and fail. And about this fuel Matta wey you just talk , no even think am twice because the matter fit pain if them no later do am and you Dey remember.

The way you talk am , na so e be, all this fuel station wey government wan take action on na them wey get power for the country get the fuel station, government matta no suppose Dey be waiting we go Dey carry for head because the way we Dey carry am na e the thing go Dey pain us and it will be affecting us every single day, if them like make them take action and if them like make them no take any action by god grace we go survive for this country.

The worst part na one fake NNPC wey Dy my area, when fuel add money dem go reduce their price for instance if fuel Dy #700 now dem Dy sell #650 just to create uncessary congestion. People are misled by the price. Na so queue go Dy for the station. I later come realise say other stations wey Dy sell #700/litre Dy give more quantity than dem to know true metre na to compare the volume for their pump because each price get en volume wey engo load for you( e go Dy display for the pump).
But I come realise say as the NNPC station get about 6 pumps dem adjust those front ones for cheating( 1 is less than 1 litre) come Dy use normal metre for the other 3 pumps wey Dy back. So dem Dy always use the front pumps sell. I witness one day wey the inspection team come for inspection. Dem carry dem go the back pumps wey b normal metre for sample collection. If not for God I b wan leak their secret.
Another thing b say those inspection team wey come are still inherent to bribery( they are bribeable) like dem for still bribe them.

E dy really sad and regrettable say as the country hard like this, most of this crude marketer dy use this fuel scarcity then, to dy use milk we wey be citizens the more, just imagine the nonsense and wickedness, if federal government no cry out now most of us no even know say something like that dy even possible, this particular issue just show say na we dy mostly wicked ourselves, just look at how dollar don come down but the price of things in the Market still remain the same, and some even dy more costly self upon say dollar don come down, na very welcome development from the federal government.

Oya make them start na. You know how many of the people wey dey government get shares or own fuel stations for this country? E dey hard to hear say government begin dey Waka dey enforce some kind rules because all them want na the one wey tax go comot from or fine or big payout for back. Make we dey see how the matter dey escalate because like play like play things dey comot for hand o.

Bro if i want talk my mind gor this matter eh, the government know watin dey sup cause na still their cartel men get all this thigns, bro you don see any normal business man open filling station before, to get to this level you need some kind of compass and I feel e get some kind of politics wey dey happen for this stuff and they know watin dem dey do, omo the country is not making it good for anybody.

Me I have come to understand say corruption don take over Nigeria well well. Every sector in Nigeria has thier own corrupt practices that are mainly targeted to the poor masses. Government go just talk, make promises that they won't keep and watch the citizens suffer. How many regulatory bodies in Nigeria dey functioning properly?

Is a nice move honestly because the rate at which fuel stations are adjusting there litres is something else, one thing I don't really understand about most people in the country is that they always take advantage of every opportunity given to them imagine even the day of the announcement of fuel increment it was not up to 24hrs president make the announcement before the next morning all fuel station has already increased there price and it doesn't end there, they make sure they tamper with the fuel pump were as the one litre will not be up to that, almost all the fuel station are doing it, there new method of altering fuel now is that they fold the pumping host as such that there would be left over after fuelling your car, maybe if you bought fuel of 10k using that there method they will realize up to one and half litre from your fuel which is very sad, so this is the high time the government do something about it.

If na talk, e full out govmnt mouth nd u ft dey xpect dem 2 talk. Na d part way b say I go xpect dem 2 act na em b d wahala. No b 2day way dem start 2 adjust Petro pumps nd no b 2day way b say, dem create institutions way go dey check these adjustment of pump nd punish offenders. D wahala b say, na d corruption way dey d system (within d institutions way suppose dey check these adjustments) na em dey cause am.

Wen e be say dis situation of adjustment is established, u go see say dem go jst enter into talks with d station management nd d next thing, dem don settle themselves like say, nothing happen. Na chop mak I chop situation while, d public go continue dey lose small small money on top d value of products way dem suppose buy.

Mak govmnt jst leave dis there noise way dem dey make nd fix our refineries make we dey refine our own crude. Na day one go help Nigerians better dan to talk watin dem no go follow to d letter.

Well, even if you no talk say our government talk dey like barking dogs way no get teeth's to bite, me I already know, so no be new thing for me because them already talk am say change go dey the country if them enter but eight ( years pass nothing to show working for and now mah another government, so no be new thing again.
Watin the government talk no go fit happen because all those filling station nah them them nai get almost all of them, if no be politicain nai get filling station A nah government worker nai go get filling station B but nah only few filling station nai be private.
If true true say the government go do as them talk, nah only the private sector and the consumers of the fuel nai go suffer am, because those government worker or the governments fit but the fuel small amount then sell am bigger amount for the consumers like us.

Brotherly, the truth of the matter be say,  NLC dey sell us out. If not DPR na people way dey under labour to checkmate some of this excesses way filling station 🚉 owners dey do.
DPR by law suppose dey go round each filling station to see if those sellers dey sell watin we government talk, if na the price way government put or the amount of litres way dey required. Once them see say u no dey follow the government stipulated price or requirements, na to lock 🔒 down the station.
So If NLC dey serious with their work, Omo we for no even dey get this conversation, because they would have nip some of this unfortunate situation  in the bud.
Instead of doing so, them go go back, go collect money from defaulters hand then turn a blind eye.

But the thing dey pain me o, you buy fuel N605 per litre yet na around 75cl them go give you as one litre. untop of this, them still dey claim say them dey pay subsidy wey no exist anywhere.

Our government na clear example of wetin them call "toothless bulldog", them no go still do anything. I never see country where the government agencies are as dead as Nigeria. We have DPR wey never seal any filling station unless them wan collect money no be say them wan change anything. We get NAFDAC yet fake drugs full the country. We get NEPA wey dey collect light bill when them no bring light. The list long. So I call this one another bobo juice.

To me oh them no suppos to announce am sef, na for them to swing into action then make the public just wake up one morning see say them the do this kind tin instead of to the announce am like dis lik say them wan make we dey clap for them sef me I no know. If actually them come out do small tin sef e go put small fear for the fuel stations their mind make them readjust for the time being, cos this our Naija immediately tin calm down pipol don return to as it wer till another gbeghe happen again.

You don already know shey this country government dey like deceive people for under. Them go talk but wen e reach to do wetin dem talk, show no go dey. Pump price self no be matter reach say some fuel station if e no be all of them don go adjust their litre , that one self you no need someone to tell you say hand don touch the litre.

E better make them go on the field work at least e go cause some positive changes. But I still dey doubt say dem serious.

The government of Nigeria thru the midstream and downstream petroleum regulatory authority don tok say them go penalize pipol wey get fuel station wey them adjust the fuel pumps.

As e be, no be news say all the fuel stations pump for the country including NNPCL own say the owners them adjust all finish, 1litre of fuel no be 1lotre again. Even as government con increase fuel pump price wey the sell now from around #650-#700 per litre  depending the station you attend still them no tink am to readjust back to normal 1litre.

The area I wan now make we rub mind na the area if the government and wetin them tok. Cos we know say this our government many times them the talk but no the do anytin and especially wen na action wey go affect big big men them. Cos plenty of dese fuel stations na governor's, senators, economic tycoons and oda politicians na them get am.

So me I dey doubt say this matter go get head, e go just be like case of a barking dog wey no get teeth to bite.  Or abi na me just dey underrate the government on wetin dem go fit do?
