As ChipMixer has been seized, the campaign is now ended. Outstanding payments will be made later this week.

let wait for DarkStar_ to come clear the air what is really happening and what happened?

I have no idea what happened. I have effectively no contact with ChipMixer.

I think it will be more better if everybody can be patient to listen to what O.P "Chipmixer's forum representative has to say regarding this new update, as he is the only one here on this forum who has direct contact with the "Chipmixer" team, rather than blaming each other and start spreading unnecessary accusation. Because I still believe that for the fact that the site is seized by the U.S government, that doesn't guarantee it's a scam, until proven beyond all doubt. Because same is Bitcoin referred as a scam by most governments
I have been checking this Chipmixer website for sometimes ago and it was written boldly that it could be access through TOR network and since then I was not bother to check it through Tor Network. Because I thought that it is a special project that was why it could not open it with normal browser, though I was suspecting that something might wrong somewhere but I just reluctant about the whole thing and face my business and seen this news today I am not surprised, because the site was having an issue since months plus. Yes as it said, the representative will have the final say on the issue instead of we making blame game here will not solve any issue so let wait for DarkStar_ to come clear the air what is really happening and what happened?

Quite miserable the stance of privacy, on lots of you.

That's what I thought after reading some posts here. It's amazing that bitcoiners, people who support the values written by Kirtchev can have opposite views. We can expect both left and right here, but all of us, regardless of what side we represent, should be libertarians not authoritarians.
The silver lining is that most people support mixers and the freedom they give.

Anyway, sadly, it might be the end, unless it resurfaces under new management.

It’s almost as if maybe this wasn’t the most legal service and perhaps it’s participants were advertising illegal money laundering services for profit. I wonder what sort of punishment one thinks is fair for promoting illegal money laundering schemes? My guess is those doing so will play victims and attack anyone who brings up their promotion of illegal activities for profits.

I certainly don't think so, and if you do, you should read 1984 maybe and think real hard about it.
There is movie with same name, but believe it or not that book was banned before, and now it has a warning to be ''offensive and upsetting''.

Since when has learning the facts become offensive and upsetting to a majority of people?  Grin

Your argumentation makes no sense. Then encryption should be illegal? Monero? Illegal? What about CoinJoin?
Everything that improves our privacy should be illegal, because it could be used to hide crimes?
There is no point taking with him at all, especially since he already have scam history in this forum, and he is ultimate hypocrite that is advertising service and website that is illegal in his country.
Nobody here in the right mind is supporting any criminal activities, but governments could soon make anything illegal, speaking or even thinking, it's not the first time they did something like that.

When does everything that the government lacks the authority to regulate or spy on become illegal?

I think many people know even if you knew that it can't be a legal service. Cause:
1. It as a service where it could be used to distinguish the sender
If I steal 50000$ from you and then I use a mixer then took it to my original id then no one will be able to know from whom I actually received the fund and also the fund of the sender can't be trace.

But if you are afraid of money laundering then stop using bitcoin and try to make awareness not to use bitcoin. There are several similarity between using mixer as well as crypto.

In theory, you can use PGP to communicate with your criminal comrades and plan various crimes, so what now, should we make fucking PGP illegal? I certainly don't think so, and if you do, you should read 1984 maybe and think real hard about it.

Oh, the government says Bitcoin is illegal to use. Is Bitcoin illegal to use? When does everything that the government lacks the authority to regulate or spy on become illegal? OG that doesn't add up.

We're the enemy of ourselves, not the government.

Obviously, nothing will happen to those who wear the ChipMixer signature. We're not doing anything illegal, it's just an advertising campaign. The same applies to the forum and managers. Stop scaring people.

I don't mean to say advertisers are doing anything illegal. Sorry if my statement sounded that way. My reply is based on what a member above said, which I quoted. just to be clear. I also don't believe anyone is doing anything illegal here by advertising any product, nor do I mean to scare anyone.

I have been a huge fan of ChipMixer and the signature in general, though the site doesn't open from my end here.

I wonder what sort of punishment one thinks is fair for promoting illegal money laundering schemes? Let's not also forget the fact that what ever transaction we make using Bitcoin and crypto in general the government can wake up one day and declare it illegal. I also don't think there will be any harm which will come against those who advertise ChipMixer even if an attack is going to come to the advertisers the forum as a whole will be a target and not just those wearing the signature.

Depends how you see it.

Usually something as trivial as wearing a signature doesn't make you involved in the activity. If it was the way you're saying you could prosecute every single TV station and newspaper because all of them promoted a failed business at some point in their existence.

CNBC should go down for promoting FTX, Coindesk and other crypto news sites promoted altcoin scams that imploded some time later.

I hope the business moves to different servers under different jurisdiction and keeps going the way torrent sites do.

why don't you access it through the TOR network?
Try mixing some coins, and see yourself why.

why don't you access it through the TOR network?  i think there's nothing for you to worry about because the government also like that.
