Because of this^^, it appears legitimate to me, though I doubt this account will ever be recovered, like many others. Everyday we are witnessing so many complaints of stolen accounts. How does these thefts are taking place and what an account owner can do to prevent it in the first place? I understand, that BitcoinTalk DB is out in the public, but are not the passwords stored in hashed format?

Trusting you is impossible for investors and you are just a low rank.
Disagreed. Trust does not depend on forum rank. In fact, anyone can buy a legendary profile on Bitcointalk. So, trusting a business according to forum rank of the business owner would be an utterly foolish action. You must check how long the business is operating and whether there is any valid allegation against the business owner.

I dont have any bitcoin address posted on this forum and I created this account using an imaginary email ID. So, I cant recover this in usual way. I tried to contact the current owner through PM. But it says...

I don't think there's any way for you to recover your account, without a signed message from a staked adress.

However you might be able to convince the mods to lock your account if you would be able to sign a message from an adress that is included in this transaction -> https://blockchain.info/tx/ef1d0959fe96acb0a475f0bec1710af549f3e2b7b9e8d766a970f94bf1b93fea

Since you stated they paid you out? Or did the current owner already changed the txid? Doesn't look so.. I know that faucet payouts look exactly like that.
