For a while I have been using BitMessage, but have not seen many others using it as well. Hence, I have not been able to communicate with others through it a great deal. This saddens me, as the system is absolutely ingenious and so secure.
I know email is great. It’s soo simple, everyone uses it..but it lacks something. That sense and good feeling of security. Tormail was once a great choice, but that along with a few others were taken down by the government.
Using Bitcoin alone is not only for the money, it’s a revolution. It’s a big middle finger to the government, telling them that we won’t conform to their disgusting, radical views and actions.
The NSA is spying on us, and the government doesn’t even care in fact, where do the NSA get the fund to spy on us? It is absolutely disgusting that innocent people like you and me have to endure privacy invasions without cause.
It’s simple. I want to start a fundraiser. A separate wallet to collect small donations from anyone that can send one, and I want to spread the word about BitMessage. Just telling people alone will not work. I feel that if I can get enough BTC/mBTC to go on to this forum and other forums to tell them “Get BitMessage and send me a message, and you get 0.0075 BTC” or something of that matter, people will want to use it. The only reason people have not been using it in the masses is due to lack of knowledge.
People always are compelled to do something if they are getting paid to do so. This, in turn will get people involved and interested in BitMessage.
BitMessage can also be used with your regular email client (Thunderbird) as well! That’s right, you can send email’s directly with your bitmessage address. All you have to do is go to https://bitmessage.ch and follow the steps to use your Bitmessage address with a bitmessage.ch handle. No more need for PGP when using email this way. They also have a great feature to “nuke your account” in case you feel it has been compromised. For Example: My Bitmessage 'Email" is: [email protected] - & I can send and receive emails just like any other email service this way.
This is not required however. I prefer to use the BM client alone as it had many features that you would love (the newest version has Namecoin integration).
So, the bottom line: We need to get money for this campaign so we can get people involved. Any donation is a help, and ALL of it will go towards this campaign. If we offer everyone 0.0075 (75 cents) in BTC, they will go nuts! So even 1.5 BTC would be a great amount to start the campaign.
Of course you can throw your suggestions at how much you think should be offered, and how much should we gather before giving it away.
Every donation will be listed here, and if you donated, your name will be listed here aswell (if you want).
We don't need much, just enough to get people on this and using BitMessage, and what better way than it's currency
Bitmessage is offered for every platform at https://bitmessage.org/wiki/Main_Page, so there is no excuse as to why you are not using it! /slaps you\
