News from discord.
We will be forking at block 250,000 to be proof of stake and remove proof of work.  This is in roughly 21 days.  When we fork we will have service nodes and super nodes.  The service nodes will be the same as we have now, 1 million coins but will now receive 20% of the rewards.  The super nodes will receive 80% of the rewards and will take 8 million coins to run.  These super nodes will be what will keep the network running as they will be what will secure our network and verify transactions.  The coding is mostly done and we are testing the new proof of work now.

I'm really glad you didn't do a rollback.

Between the new wallet and the service node functionality this is quite impressive for a single dev.

I hear you're going to roll back the chain several days?  Why?  And if true, why have you not made an official announcement via your social medias?

You are going to destroy this coin if you do so.  What exchange would touch it after that?

It might be time to just start over, especially considering your chain is already horribly bloated due to the spammer.

I'm not sure where you heard this but we did not have to do a rollback. Everything is running smooth now too.

Our chain is a little bloated for sure, but fortunately our latest option added a pruning option to trim it down using the following command.

./fury-blockchain-prune

Service nodes are now live and working well.

We have also released a new GUI wallet which is super slick, it's been out a couple days and we have received lots of positive feedback on it's functionality.

I apologize for the lack of updates here, the last few weeks have been super busy but I'll be better about checking this thread going forward.

If anybody has any questions let us know!

From discord.
We have a new windows GUI wallet.  It is based on the RYO electron wallet.  It also has service node registration available in it.  You still need a daemon to run the service node on but you can use this wallet and a remote node to stake your service node.  Just a minor heads up, importing works fine when using the import from old gui but does not work when importing from file.  I am still working on that but for those needing new wallets or who were running our old gui it will work for you.  For those that want to import from file you can import from seed instead or you can wait for the update to fix import from file.  https://github.com/FuryCoin/Fury/releases/download/2.0.0/Fury_Electron_Wallet_Setup_2.0.0_windows.exe

service nodes guide for windows is up https://github.com/FuryCoin/Service-Nodes I will update it for linux shortly.

pools are having some issues with payments, we will be looking into it later today and should have it fixed within 24 hours.  Please be patient as we try and figure out what is causing the payment issues.  The SN's are working great and payments via the cli wallets are working fine as well.

Quite an interesting and undeservedly deprived of attention project.
We follow the development.

fee fork is set for block height 164200 which is about 10 hours from now.  It will increase fees by 50x.  Since we will be forking again in a day or two I will only upload a CLI wallet.
https://github.com/FuryCoin/Fury/releases/tag/1.2.1.

fork is done.  This fork just changed the fee to stop the transaction spammer.  The fork with service nodes is delayed a few days.  We will be updating to the latest monero codebase as well to include updated bulletproofs and blockchain pruning.  These features need some more testing and a little bit of troubleshooting before I release the fork.  It should only be an extra couple days while I work out the kinks.

Hi, I need help getting coins from mining.
If I set regular address from the wallet on the pool, coins aren't arriving after being paid by the pool. Tried two pools, it was the same, wallet is still empty.
If I set subaddress or use integrated one from the exchange (not like the rest of coins with payment id, added i at the beginning instead) pools refuse connection because of bad address name.

How are you guys mining this and where do you receive payouts?

I have found the help page where it's described how to fix the wallet, everything is ok now.

I'm sorry, it might be me, but what exactly makes your algorithm "superfast"?

The algorithm has 1/4 of the iterations of regular Cryptonight and 1/2 of the iterations of Cryptonight Lite.  It still has the 2MB scratchpad which makes it more suited for video cards or higher end processors.  The less iterations make it so your card/cpu can do more hashes/s.

You can find this information in the hashing code of the coin or by looking at an open source miner like xmr stak.

Cryptonight - 0x80000 iterations = 524288 iterations.
Cryptonight Lite - 0x40000 iteratoins = 262144 iterations.
Cryptonight Superfast - 0x20000 iteartions = 131072 iterations.

you can pull 5kh if not more on 1 vega 56 with superfast
i havent test it with overclock. i think you can get it all the way to 7kh with srbminer

Well, I get more than 1kH/s on CPU with my selfdeveloped algorithm which is also GPU resistant. So I dont see why this one should help.
Also, where are the changes that make it superfast?

We are currently in contact with multiple top 150 exchanges as well as with a couple smaller ones. I have contacted all the exchanges we are interested in listing on but have not heard back from all of them yet. Discussions are ongoing and many of the exchanges will not list you if you break confidentiality during the negotiations or before they announce new listings. So discussions with multiple exchanges are ongoing and we might get listed on a couple of the smaller ones that we like before the discussions with the larger exchanges are done. Here is an idea of what the spreadsheet looks like. I blanked out some information as there is a lot of random notes in there that I don't want to share with everyone. There are 150 exchanges on the list, a lot of them were never contacted as their listing fees were unacceptably high or they only listed tokens not coins. I am working hard on securing a few listings as quickly as possible on good exchanges. I will let you guys know more when I either have more information or am allowed to share information I already have.

Which pools I should use to mine the Furry coin?
There are bunches of pools in the OP, so I don't know which one is the  best to mine

1 that you like (best for the coin is to not have all the hash rate on 1 pool) does not really matter witch pool you go mining on but a pool near your location is Always nice so you get a low ms to the pool

Yes you can mine on any of the pools.  I have tested them all and they all work well.

The Windows GUI wallet is done and has been released.  You can download it on our GitHub page.  It is Fury_1.0_win_GUI.zip.  You download the file, unzip it and then run fury-wallet-gui.exe.

https://github.com/FuryCoin/Fury/releases/tag/1.0

could it be that there is a bug in the software when creating a wallet?

i created a wallet with the gui and i found it strange that mined coins where not apairing in the wallet (yes it was connecteted to the node and it was fully synced it say). so i installed the wallet on a other pc and imported the seed there i did see the coins right away there but still not on my pc where i created the wallet then i discoverd that there was 1 thing difrent in both wallets.

if i went to settings > info and then looked at Wallet creation height:

on the pc i created the wallet it was saying somting like 631556 (if i remember right)

on the pc where i imported the seet the number was 0

so i did change the Wallet creation height on the pc where i created the wallet too 0 as well and then all transactions showed up.

yesterday someone else in the pool i mine was having a problem as well with the gui wallet he also did not see transactions coming in i asked him wat nuber he had on the Wallet creation height but he did not respond for the last 12 hours so dont know yet.

at first i thought i made a mistake my self but now someone else having the problem as well i think it mebay a software bug in the wallet creation part of the gui

about this problem the other user reported back to me and had the same problem as me.

https://www.imageupload.co.uk/images/2018/10/29/fury.png

zo the part with the circle says a number after creating a wallet witch is wrong. the othe user told me his number standing there was 1669912 (mine i dont remeber totaly) when you cange it to 0 the wallet starts working and you see the transactions

Also our first Bounty has been announced.  We are looking for some help with website design.  I could do it myself but I am not good with with colour schemes and making websites look appealing.  I also have my hands full with the GUI wallet and working on the announcement for the first airdrop.

20% premine in such a market in such a project is a lot to me. i think it was worth all the same no more than 15% to take and then take part of the transaction. im do not think that many will like this option especially when choosing a good one.

I hope you are aware that FuryCoin has many cryptonight coins!
The difference will be how it will be accepted on platforms, websites or people and who will be buying and mining too!
Did you even need a 200 million FURY premine?
Well, you did not have to worry about encouraging community creation that way because when coin is good, it just draws people in.

They need to prove that their coin is significant in some aspect.
If people will realize that this is just another coin trying to survive in the trading business, this will not stay longer.
But even if the development is slow, yet, there's a purpose behind this coin, then maybe, they will achieve something here.

Can you please give some examples of the issues that this fork is planning to solve? The only real information mentioned here is that this coin is a Monero hard fork. Please give some more information.

With a rush of Cryptonote coins being released everyday that are fair launch, can you explain why we would want to mine and support a network with a 20% premine?

The above chart shows how the premine will be distributed. We feel strongly that we need to be able to provide airdrops (marketing) and pay listing fees in order to best position the coin.

New Direction!  White Paper released!

FuryCoin

FuryCoin (FURY) is a truly anonymous cryptocurrency.

Introduction
The goal of FuryCoin is to provide a truly anonymous, private cryptocurrency, which can be easily implemented and globally accepted.  We have implemented Service Nodes to help keep the blockchain decentralized and also we plan to implement offshore storage so you can have a safe place to store your coins and protect their value without Government interference.  FuryCoin is a Monero hardfork, which utilizes the best features of the cryptonote technology.  We plan on building a strong community which, together with our dev team, will work to solve the issues that other coins have not been able to solve to date.

Mining FuryCoin
FuryCoin uses the custom Cryptonight Superfast mining algorithm.
