Last year bitcoin price so high that were not expecting price could reach that amount. So in this year, I think it will reach more than the price by most speculating it. It can achieve last year so I think it will this year.

Bitcoin will reach higher values than the ones reached in the past year since its potential is almost unlimited but there is no way to know when that is going to happen we will like to know the answer to that as well, so the only thing we can do to not miss that growth is to hold our coins I know that is the strategy recommended by most users in the forum but there is a reason for that because it works.

The future of bitcoin will be as bright as ever. The development undergoing with bitcoin will contribute to its markup in value within the next 5 years. Lightning Network implementation is nearing to its completion, The whales on accumulation stage currently, mainstream media covering bitcoin resulting to another public panic buying to cause an uptrend, and BTC mining reward halving by 2020 could possibly make bitcoin price rise to the moon.

Last year Bitcoin pumped tremendously. but this year in beginning of year it has dropped. and we don't know what will happen at the end of this year. But there are some possibilities Bitcoin will again reach another levels. Bitcoin is most favorite coin of investors, they show their interest as well as trust on investing in Bitcoin. maybe it will go to another level or maybe it will be struggling on the same place.

No one was forgot the last year’s growth of Bitcoin. bitcoin makes history last year. Due to last year Bitcoin became more popular. Those who don’t know about cryptocurrency that kind of people also blindly invested in Bitcoin. So, I don’t know what will happen with Bitcoin this year. But I hope that bitcoin set an all-new record this year. And bitcoin has that kind of potential. It has been definitely increasing. Don’t be panic just hold it and have Patience. And you will start making profit.

yes i agree with that !! it does not matter if its growth rate is not like last year, though slowly as long as it can be what we expect  always think positive because mindset is do'a 

I also think that it will be growing. However, I suspect the speed of its growth will be not as high as it was last year.

Well, 19k is good enough, but I would not imagine being there forever, Even if we stay on that value for a very long time, a time will come where we either see another uptrend or a downtrend as the case may be. The momentum to buy may be very low right now, but anything can happen. Also, I still see this level as a huge manipulation level where some big guys want to be holding a pretty good position and kudos to those who are busy giving them theirs. I hope they like the outcome in the long run.

Sure, why not? I am still very bullish on bitcoin right now, and I see this moment as a break to just load up on bitcoin and alts, for the recovery period.

It is normal; there is no downtrend that does not at a point end up finishing. We are in that phase now and we just have to see how long that stage continues. Also, it is not wishful thinking, but reasonably, we know the market was overbought, hence the correction, adoption will give that boost eventually, so we will have to wait and see how that ends.

It all revolves around the demand. And bitcoin will always be in demand. Just wait until it further decreases and then observe. People will rush into bitcoin, and invest in it, increasing its demand and that will affect its price helping it reach higher then it was last year. People who truly believe in bitcoin will surely invest in it and majority of the people believe in it and they'll definitely help bitcoin grow again and break the records and make new ones.

Higher value or not, no one can know, but the possibilities may be there (just being optimistic and bullish), but we should even first cross this first hurdle before even discussing the next level at all. We still have a lot of resistance to break before even getting to the previous ATH. As for me, I would and would not hope for too much at the same time.

Last year too the price pumped high once after the China new year, so this time too expect the same. With cryptocurrency everything happens unlike the time period, let's hope something good to take place making the market recover from the entire capital fall which at present is recorded to be above 50%.

We can surely speculate and tell what we want bitcoin to achieve in the coming months but that's really how I see it, Maybe it is only a speculation but some analysis would sure see the past achievement of bitcoin and how it movement because so popular so a lot of investors, And all of the hodlers are not losing hope on it if you only believe it, And right now for many investors they are seeing this dip as an opportunity than a lost because right now is the opportunity to buy and have more bitcoin when the bullish trend starts again.

surprised by the fall of bitcoin prices in early 2018. but I think bitcoin still has great potential to be the most expensive digital eye in the world. and at the same time beat fiat money. because at a time when prices are falling, this is a chance for big companies to enter and build big projects that they hope will benefit greatly

We have had people like him who have never believed in a huge rise anyway right from when bitcoin was even $2. Last year was a sign and no one could have thought we will actually reach the ATH we reached even though we all knew at some point that was not really a good one and market obviously needed this correction. For now, we may just have to see how things end up happening, but the possibilities of high percentage are something we still cannot rule out.

After going through the tough times that bitcoin is going through, you will see the bitcoin back on the clouds. Bitcoin will return to the moon.
We do not know when, but surely it will happen again. Considering today more people use bitcoin. because basically more market demand than bitcoin prices will continue to rise.

A great huge pull back will once again hit the ground before the end of the year and could be a $50k five years from now, so guys if you think that bitcoin is not worth to invest with then pull out your investment if you have any doubt in your heart about it, but if not then there is nothing to worry about as this big phenomenon will bring achievement in our life.

The potential of Bitcoin price to grow more than the price it reached last year will not disappear, it reached almost $20000 and before the year 2017 ends we experienced a huge pull back which is expected to happen because the price increases very high in just a few months. but we don't know when will that happen again. We can make our own predictions on when will it rise but there will be no accurate answer. And with this FUD coming out almost everyday makes it difficult for Bitcoin to rise again. But the sure thing is it will, so better hold your Bitcoins and wait for the bull market.

If you believe in the quote of history repeats itself then that's a very plausible idea that this year and for the next years to come bitcoin does have the potential to increase more in value.
It will remain as prediction if it won't happen but some unrealistic predictions years ago went into reality last year.

I don't think you are right as bitcoin is going to go as high as $100,000 this year according to some speculators! This time last year many were saying that bitcoin is not going to make a good progress but you can see were we are today. I will pray we should make more progress this year more than what happened last year as the progress will help to make more confident than last year.

The potential will always be there, I've noticed that the world of digital currency continues to experience a positive increase. Although some of this time we often experience a bad condition, but it is not a problem. Bitcoin continues to increase its popularity. Nowadays Bitcoin user growth is very big and I am sure will create a new record for every Bitcoin price. If you look back then there are some state decisions that tire against Bitcoin, but over time I am optimistic it can start muted and one day more and more countries recognize Bitcoin as a legal thing.

- Yes bitcoin price can surge like last year again which can push price to over new ATH price.
- Yes most of the crypto investors are speculators and price is affected mostly by emotion.

Other than this crypto market is still risky so it is advised to only invest what you can afford to loss in crypto.

Its very possible for bitcoin to achieve higher values then in 2017, however I would not expect everything to happen all at once.     Hurdles must be passed before price can match actual trade done with demand producing possibilities for speculators to become bullish.

The main driver for higher prices is not crypto currency at all, its not clever technology.    Its not even the emerging market and addressing those without banking in tradational systems.   The main reason Bitcoin is likely to continue past 20,000 'in the years to come' is in relation to dollar and the decline of value occurring from QE fallout.

If you want a solid answer to your question for the long term then look at Dollar reserve, trade balance and QE programs in major economies.   If bitcoin can be more stable then the unwinding of QE bond holdings then the price will rise.    Think of a set of scales, if dollar is burning value on one side and Bitcoin is merely steady on the other side then value will find favour in a more solid value of Crypto.    That does require that Bitcoin maintain steady trade, it does need to lower fees to do that.

Too much speculation is a negative but over years BTC is capable of rising so long as development continues positively.

Bitcoin will just retain its value max 19k usd

It has a chance that it will boom this year. Especially when people today are availing some bitcoin. It has a tendency that the price will be rise.

It does have a chance to reach higher but it won't have a better % year than last because those type of gains are out of the question.

if last year bitcoin scored a very surprising value.
does bitcoin still have the potential to register much higher value this year and in the years to come?
will the predictions of cripto be a reality or just a mere wishful thinking?
