FSB are not regulating crypto as for them, the crypto currency net worth is to small for them to regulate. Crypto consists of only 1% of the global economic net worth. Thus i think we will not be seeing a bright future for crypto in EU.

For Countries to come together and pass unanimous laws does not happen overnight, but looking at this thread i think there needs to be a law verifying threads and compulsorily backing them with facts, in order not to create unnecessary panic with misinformation. Dont worry about jail time, just set your mind free!

I do not think something of such happened. Even if a country bans crypto or the exchange domicile to that country. That does not stop you as an individual from trading crypto on other exchanges or in what nature could the prison sentence be.

There is a technological pressure upon the European Union to develop technologies and the mass acceptance of new technologies to maintain its position as one of the world's superpower as you may see in the industrials sector companies like Kodak failed when they did not adapt to technological change, a whole bunch of countries may not want that to happen.

As you may observe in Europe on of its parts which did rely on kingship popularly known as Great Britain was ousted a correlation could be found in the fact that Britain was operating under a government in which there was the existence of a supreme power of authority and got ousted, cryptocurrency is everything but that.

Europe is in indirect political competition with China on the basis of economies so the acceptance of trading and introducing a new form of finance to its population might be a good stepping stone for its economic development which may increase its chances of gaining superiority over China.

I think that European Union is trying each step to stabilize itself especially after the Brexit incident and the fact that currently, Italy has elected its new Parliment, acceptance of cryptocurrency trading in Europe might just be nothing else but a trigger that may cause new deviations to occur, an instability they are not prepared for.

Now that Europe has banned crypto trading is it still possible to cash out legally? I don't want to go to prison.

in Europe it seems that already many people know about bitcoin or other cryptocurrency, it is proven from some of their countries launched some ICO and established the biggest market exchange in europe, so I think the future development of cryptocurrency in europe is very extraordinary and will likely be legal in soon.

At least show some proof if you are trying to make a real statement.

It is not good for the crypto world when people are doing things like this.
Newbies might really believe it with just a simple post.
Well I just hope they are doing their research before believing this kind of unworthy posts.

in the last month I read a story in the online media that said the German central bank declared a ban on cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, because the type of virtual currency requires international rules, because the national or regional rules made by each country are not strong enough to apply.
German Bundesbank board member Joachim Wuermeling said that all authority in the world, especially in Asia is trying to stop the wild bitcoin price movement.
regardless of whether or not this news I also want to know what they are just banning bitcoin or how?
but again this is just a story I read not my thoughts.

This may be a very vague statement since Europe although joined by the political laws of the European Union is free to decide for itself since the acceptance of cryptocurrency in Europe does not pose a threat for any particular country or gives any country an unprecedented advantage so this situation may vary from country to country.

I see a lot of bashers but it could be a possibility the OP is simply not well informed. However, this is not necessarily a bad thing, at least for people invested in privacy coins. The more people tend to be afraid of governments snooping around in cryptoland, the more people will be looking for a good privacy coin. So I'm not mad. Just another reason to grow a stack of anonymous coins, it's good to have a diversified portfolio so, why not?

But I just wish people would do a little more research before throwing these kind of statements into the wild..

It seems to me that over time the crypt will be legalized. It's just that in Europe it will be long, because they are always cautious about everything new, and especially as regards money. The future is, but it will come unfortunately with a delay.

There is no banning. European governments and banks will implement cryptocurrencies in their infrastructure and will be providing services for us very soon. Even taxes will appear soon. So don't worry about that.

I think this is just FUD from personal person to manipulate crypto price. Cryptocurrency and technology behind it was give many advantages and benefits to the cryptocurrency community, so no reason to ban it. But we should support it so this community will bigger and more people get the advantages of it.

Some serious fudding going on here, OP must have cashed out too early and needs the market to drop again so he can get back in. Europe is one of the safest areas for crypto, if anyone is in berlin this month head over to the LISK relaunching event on the 20 Feb and then watch LISK pump at the exchanges Grin

You could go to the prison anytime if you are breaking any rules or doin a criminal activity lol.

Another shitty negative spreader in the forum. I request moderators to closing monitor these kind of guys who always share incorrect information about the bitcoin and other alts as well.

I want to confirm you, European are 2nd toppest investors in the bitcoins. In 2015 onwards seeing many people for European countries comes with the many blockchain start ups.
There you would not find any legal or illegal notice from any country that is truth.

Ive heard some countries are fully supporting cryptocurrencies in the EU,like russia is planning to implenent some payment system using cryptocurrencies for the whole nation, people will have an idea how the cryptocurrency works, and how the blockchain technology will revolutionize the payment syste all over the world,Not all the countries would banned cryptocurrencies because these countries has different point of views about the blockchain technology.

Thank you for saying this! Op is one of those people makings negative comments about bitcoin and the crypto currencies in social media and in this forum. I think most of this open lied should be disregard as this doesn't represent the truth. Even if that happens no one is going to say bitcoin has not help in shaping some issues in our economy and we should be thankful having this kind of technology in our time.

Hahaha. Good one Smiley  If you're referring to the EU, then it's pretty funny since they take years to agree on Anything, let alone the policies on something as far reaching, and new, and as potentially money-spinning-once-regulated as crypto trading.

If you're referring to the continent of Europe including Russia, Poland and several other crypto-friendly countries, then it it is downright hilarious. Check your sources, my friend.

Is it not banned in Europe? I'm confused right now.  Huh

Where are you getting this info from, Jon88?
