I agree with this, cryptocurrencies needs to get a lot bigger before we can say that something like an era has started, this is why I have always thought that even the people that have adopted bitcoin very recently are still part of the early adopters, not even 1% of the population uses bitcoin and until we get that percentage up bitcoin will still be very small compared to the rest of the economy.

We are living in digital world and cryptocurrency is also digital, therefore I can say that we are living in crypto era. The future is that of cryptocurrency. The reason is that the world is turning toward digital and electronic world, so it is clear that in the future all the people will use only digital currency. It is good because the whole world will use one currency and no single country would control it.

Crypto has evolved tremendously as it continues to influence people's lives in bringing quality of life and opportunities. It has so much potential and advantages that makes it paved the way and creates a large lead than other cryptocurrencies. With these some of its excellence qualities, no wonder it can have a brighter and phenomenal future.

The only thing I imagine is that we at some point in the future will no longer care about the fiat value of Bitcoin. People at that point will think about how much their satoshis will buy them in grocery stores.

Imagine how there is no such a thing as value for one satoshi. It remains the same for ever, regardless of what the economical situation in a certain country is. Isn't that what we all want in the end?

I personally didn't really see any difference in Bitcoin when the price was $1000 back in early 2017, and when it jumped up all the way to nearly the $20,000 mark at the end of that year. 1BTC will always remain 1BTC.

So, what are you thinking right now? Are you happy to see that Bitcoin and altcoins are going again back together? It is just a matter of time that really can tell everything about of the future. A matter of patience while waiting and you will surely get your reward for waiting for something that is so worth the wait of your time. Do not understand what you mean, I mean still crypto era I still recognize crypto as the superiority of all technology and while still crypto for people who understand about crypto, for layman like you rich do not understand. Since the beginning there has been a lot of crypto travel and it is considered not so important at the start with very little price and then showing a huge increase every year from the help of previous people who adopted bitcoin until now showing tremendous prices, it's incredible will continue to show an excellent improvement in the future.

The problem preventing crypto from becoming a worthy currency for everyday use, is volatility and usability. he/she asked about future of cryptocurrency but the context talked about its price dump and pump.
it does not make any sense asking about this question many times all over,because we won't know and understand how market works.

Yeah, it is unpredictable, but one thing for sure is this is a market that is here to stay.
We would have been less sure in past few years but after all the hurdles, the condemnations, the clamp downs, and all the negativity, the cryptocurrency market seems to just keep bouncing stronger than what we have seen before.

I guess regulation is just going to be ushering in a different level entirely which would bring some level of sanity to this market as well as some pretty good bigger investors. So, the future is very bright.

Bitcoin is first born decentralized digital currency.This is cause for the existence of bitcoin till now.Now the price of bitcoin crossed 8000$ .Bitcoin is the base of other altcoin.So the same will be reflect in the price of altcoin.Cryptocurrency had good future.

The future of cryptocurrency is more shinning than nowadays. Because many people have more aware about cryptocurrency nowadays. It gains lot of supports daily. Many countries now accept bitcoin as legal, it seems to be very good opening for bitcoin. Just now bitcoin has started its journey it os nit going to end. Many people now ready to invest in bitcoin for their future. Don't judge bitcoin for future with current situation. Now the price is not good and it faces so many pumps and dumps. there is always going to be some people who are getting into bitcoin and then altcoins only because of making money and not even through mining, trading, and generally other logical ways. but instead they want to make money by buying, holding and them magically becoming rich over night.
these people are the ones you saw saying bitcoin is done just because its price went down and their dreams were shattered with it.

The market has been held to $7000 mark even if it breaks it at $7xxx it is immediately being pull back back to $65xx-7000 range. I hope there would be future updates not only for btc to have faster transfer rates but rather a much more diverse network on eth based token and not only limited to big exchanges but more focused on developments and application; rather than just pumps and dips.

By this topic and comments I see many people are not aware of what is happening with crypto market, what more I see many people have size of a brain like little birds have, you don't know what was last month and to not ask you what was 5 years ago, because you forgot your past you will never truly know your future.
But you think there were not so many alts before, well good for you! I see you made some effort and check it, its really hard to open your browser and type magic words in search, you will be surprised what kind of informations you can find, just try it.
Future if entire crypto will be great, future for some coins, tokens, will not be so great, some will go to the sky some will fall to zero, pick good and do your research better from now one, you missed so many things even you are senior member.

Right now, or last week more specifically, was one of the biggest threats to bitcoins (relative) stability and trajectory for at least the past few years. It showed that disagreements within the community and arguments about the fundamental purpose of bitcoin can feasibly bring the coin it to its knees. It seems to have blown over, and the price has recovered strongly but I would be less bullish on the future price of bitcoin than say 2 or 3 weeks ago, when a price of 20,000 USD was not an unreasonable forecast for year end 2018.

Yes, indeed the future of cryptocurrencies is bright because they currently have been gaining more and more support as more and more people have started to realise their potential and the cryptocurrency era won't come to an end soon. In fact, it has just started and there is a long way to go. There are possibilities that the banks and other services that act as the middleman, to survive launch their own crypto as the popularity of the crypto seems to rise like rapid fire.

i think the same as you. Future of crypto looks very bright to me, just not for all existing projects right now. I think most of them will dissapear, but the idea will live. Only strong projects can survive in the long term. We will see much more of crypto years to come

Apparently, all we are seeing is just another hump in the road, But I'm sure that we will get over with it. Yes, we all know that if the dramatic rise last December will be short lived, this bearish market will also be temporary as we might see a sudden U-Turn maybe this month or the following months.

So I also agree wit you that the future is still bright and not the bleak as the naysayers are trying to picture it. Crypto will survive in the next years to come and I'm sure that the price will go on a exponential growth.

Those people who are speculating that this is the end of crypto era needed a good slap in the face. How can they say that's it the end when the price is way above, gold and silver specially bitcoin and the market cap is still strong at $200 million. If crypto have died, it should be in its first 5 years, but we are still here, breathing, struggling but we are not out.

As far as bitcoin and altcoin price correlation, we can't deny that to an extend there is. But investors usually tend to just shift funds around so when bitcoin is down it doesn't mean that someone is dumping maybe they are just moving the funds in other coins. Soon this bearish trend will be over and those who are bitching around that bitcoin or crypto will be over is so wrong.
