Funny enough I wanted to try and help a newbie who had some Pi coin in his wallet to exchange to another coin e.g ethereum unfortunately, there is no exchange that had launch the so-called Pi coin, it is never in existence, I tried further to research on any of their roadmap and white paper of the coin it's not in existence too, I agreed it just a waste of time and efforts mining the tokens, some of my friends also sent me a referral link of the token which I deleted from my phone, a lot of them still believe in the token.

I didn’t think Pi Network have a bright future. i see people use there mobile phone to mining Pi network token for 1+ year but But I don't see any development in this token. People are only mining their tokens but in no case can they are able to use or sell it. I see it as a scam. it is just wasting people’s time.

It will be legit if cryptocurrencies are not banned in your country/state.

All these questions are referring the same thing. I have seen many altcoins which got dumped never got chances to recover and this coin might be one of them. I am sorry I am not here to discourage you but you must understand the basics of altcoins and how most coins do fluctuate here.

This is the reason, you should invest only your affordable (on the event of losses) amount in altcoins and you should try to invest the major portion into bitcoin to get better returns.

It is a waste of time... I am not sure who are the people who fall on this, but there are many of them apparently! Pi is just one of the mobile mining coins, maybe the most known, but it didn't do anything on the market, as many people from here predicted! I guess the ones who mined Pi and similar coins can share with us for how long they mined a cent or two?! I believe they needed months for that! There's no potential in these coins definitely!

A lot of people are complaining about this coin because the developers have promised that they would launch it by the end of 2021 yet nothing happened. This mining app has fooled lots of people and we never heard anything from the developers until now. It's also too good to be true to mine  free coins with the good value these days by just using mobile phones. This project is obviously a scam.

just in case they register and come out recognize the pi coins on the market. many of its miners will benefit and make life easier if I am not mistaken there are already 30million miners on its platform.
There is probably nothing wrong with taking risks in the hardships of life today and in the crisis that the world is going through, many people want to get out of poverty. And PI is the solution they see other than it doesn’t take out the money to invest in it and
only mobile phones are used to mine coins here.
I am not pro or against PI. There are as many people who want to reach their dream and want to experience the comfort of life so they are able to gamble in different ways.

Is this scam project still functioning? Heard it a lot of time, people that was mining through their phone and referral links all around but up until now they are still not listed on any exchange site and I don't know what they are mining for, was it that mining exist because transaction exist? Well I wouldn't be surprised because it is a scam project and no doubt that many people fall for it since people don't understand how things works in crypto.

Well they supposedly released the "mainnet" few weeks ago, but still, any idiot can clone BTC source code, tweak it and say "we got a revolutionary mainnet"

agree, it is an obvious scam, or at least a project without future, since development is stalled and slow
and there is no blockchain either, or coin at least, it is all web development, without cryptography involved, so it can be cancelled anytime, leaving you without "coins"

People's opinions are really divided when it comes to cryptocurrencies. I did my own research regarding the Pi Network. even other crypto annalysts can't tell if Pi is a scam or not. And every day more and more people are participating in the mining of Pi coins. and its application users are scattered in different parts of the world.

I've downloaded and used this app a few years ago, they always promised that the tokens would be released after the mainnet was launched in a few months, but so far it hasn't happened for years.

Lols. It may not really be a scam. The brains behind the project is a Stamford professor that teaches cryptocurrencies. So he understands how it functions. So lets just wait to see whats comes off it.

As a newbie here I have a lot of questions about tokens and coins in the crypto world. And one of those things is about PI mining I've learned a lot from your opinions thank you for all your help guys.

I disable my PI miner a year ago because it was proven to be a scam and the admins abuse their miners by making money out of them and making them believe that this is another best thing in Cryptocurrency, it's been three years now but until they have no plan to get this coin in the market, they made money from their millions of users by posting ads, monetizing the mining without giving their users anything, don't use this application they should be charged for abusing their members.

Correct me but is Pi Network team sold something to investors already? I don't know because I'm not following this shitty project at all although I've seen this in Facebook posts several times already.

If they sold something to investors and they they ran away then we can say that it is a scam but right now, it is too early to say that it is though I can say that this project is just one of the trash projects out there. I'm not supporting this project, I'm just saying that it isn't a scam until we see some actions from them and at the same time I don't see it as a legit project at all.

Regarding to those miners that are mining without doing anything, there is no way that they will get money from it so its not worth the wait. We know how mining in crypto works and those numbers from their app?? Its just numbers that these "fake" miners will never get.

Pi Network has been there for years but until now, I don't see any token price at all. Some are saying that it will go 2$ and some as high as 20$ which is impossible if you will just a quick math regarding the number of users mining and the number of PI coins that have been mined (fake).

Can it be exchanged? Well they are there for a long time but until now it hasn't been listed on any of the exchanges. They are afraid probably that these fake miners will dump their token and putting its price to 0. For sure when this token will be listed on any exchange, people will dump them and leave the project like many other people are doing. Overall, Pi Network is just a shitty project but I don't say its a scam at least for me unless there is somebody who can say that they sold products or anything to their investors already.

Once after seeing this thread I opened the pi network application to find how much I've mined till date. Its been a long when I started, fortunately after certain time period I found this to be something wasting the mobile phone. Myself have managed to mine 225 coins.

There are people holding millions of pi coins. Going through the road map there is series of events planned and executed. But, there needs to be some way of swapping or exchange listing to gain the trust. I was not mining it nowadays, but waiting to see its progress.

This project has been in the information field for a long time, but there are no actual informational reasons for a growth spurt yet. Although many analysts expect good growth from this project, according to their promises, the project will be very profitable after entering large exchanges, and at the moment it is really profitable to enter it, at least for a small amount.

Its a scam! Ive seen lots of Pi coin shills on Facebook which people who are involved did really make out those $1 price on December? Then what happened now?

is just really some show off that it is a legit one but i dont see any significant usage of this one.

It's already confirmed as a scam token along with garbage token called ETN that promoted mobile mining in the past which was totally useless. They were thinking if this garbage token totally useful in the future but essentially mining in the phone was totally useless and that's different with mining using mining rig. So many times people called that mining in mobile will be totally useless.
It's sad that there are people who keep thinking those garbage mobile mining tokens were not scam. It seems like they lack of education about that. I do agree with you it's a fake token.

With those long years of promise, and up until now they haven't listed in at least one decent exchange. It already says something to the project. So for me, don't waste your time or resources mining this coin. They may be only getting your valuable data for nothing. Just my opinion here.

That particular project has been on since three to four years, without making any significant progress apart from making investors and users know they have nothing to offer. Just so sad about their outcome and its not looking good

Pi must be a scam. Everyone is mining it both crypto space guys and people who know nothing about crypto and the mining is going to last maybe for a lifetime and you can't help but watch adds to make them money. It's an hoax.

I know lots of people who mine it. Never got into it because it seemed a stupid idea to me, however good luck to those people who are going to buy up the pi coins once they open trading, if they ever will. I bet it will keep dipping due to the mass of people wanting to sell.

In the end it was an elaborated scam. They never had a real coin or blockchain, just virtual numbers in their app. They showed ad to earn from users and it was a certain scam for me when they started asking for KYC. Glad I wasn't involved in making referrals through social media. A lot of people heard about blockchain just because of this fake app. And with such scam, it would be a bad start for most.

Pi is eventually going to be marked as the deceit of 2021. Alot of people think that a shit token they are mining on an android phone will eventually amount to something and that is going to be the shock of their life after wasting time on it for several months. Do people mine genuine cryptocurrency on phones nowadays? I doubt it.

With all the things that have happened over the years. From hearing it from crypto groups long before it has become mainstream and up to now, there's no specific progress. There are just some more people who will input their information and get their information mined and probably sold to the highest bidder.

The developers are the ones who profited and benefitted from it. I know their application has ads in it, and of course, when there are ads, there's money involved, and they are probably raking a lot of it for having millions of users press "Mine" every day.

It could only have value if people were buying. It's the market that dictates the price.

It means that there are still many who are fooled by this Pi Network project, even I also often see on Tiktok so many share that the Pi Network project is very clear, to be honest what they are doing I just want to laugh and make them aware, but the community has grown and expanded but their consciousness is not so recovered nor am I just looking at the risks that will be in the future.

Gosh, so that scam shitshows has been running for years? I just recently know about it from the last my family gathering and one of them ask me about specifically Pi Network. I just immediately say it's shady and told to stay away by only getting to know about how the coin was described to me. Turns out it is indeed an obvious scam.

I think it is devastating if others are able to get deceived by it, just imagining by how that scam application can do to the user smartphone is worrying. I guess by the time cryptocurrencies get more and more awareness to the mainstream, I believe another scam coins will keep going popped out, and it is essential to inform our closest one about how dangerous it is. Lucky us if we always many ways of scam on here, but others especially those who are non-tech-savvy users are easy to be deceived.

I saw a few days ago on tiktok that they have now made a bit of "progress". I don't know what verification method they use so that their twitter now has a badge. And one more thing that their community is proud of that this fake coin is also listed on CMC and ignores the risk warnings presented.

2 years of development and still testnet status. That means claims about mining on mobile are bullshit and all this time what their clients have been mining are blocks that don't contain actual transactions.

I mined some pi coin but I still have my doubts, months ago I got angry and uninstalled the app from my phone but they released news about mainnet so I opt back in, I also have a friend in China who confirmed that this project has a legit office in China which brings my hope up once again but I don't know what to believe anymore since the project isn't launched yet

I'm not sure what kind of business does Pi Mining offer the rest of the users but they haven affiliated on any chain out there. A mining via mobile phone should at least have connected on any chain in order to be called a blockchain project. Also if ever they are actually doing mining what kind of tech is that? I'm not sure how people got deceived and believe that this is real potential project. Better stay away as soon as possible.

I highly respect your opinion about this topic, even I have no idea if PI is true or not. But there is nothing wrong with that if we try.
Everyone who subscribes to the app also has no idea when Pi Coin will launch in the market. And when will it be included in the list of cryptocurrencies. But many still hope that Pi will have value in the future.
