Well, figures don't lie. Bitcoin reached $200 billion marketcap. Any altcoins can't reach that. Altcoins are way too far from Bitcoin. But only time can tell what will be the future of cryptocurrencies. Everyday, altcoin is being created and developed. Maybe one of them will replaced Bitcoin in the future. Who knows? Will bitcoin still prevail and still the king of all cryptocurrencies? Or an Altcoin will replace Bitcoin? Or cryptocurrency will die due to government regulations? It's hard to predict. Let's see after few years. But for now, let's Bitcoin take it's moment.

Marketcap is truly astonishing if you are going to look it at and I think bitcoin has captured more than 50% of that. So maybe the future of cryptocurrency is currently being held by bitcoins, and we as investors has a say on that. If we continue to support it then the future will looks very bright, otherwise another alt coin will replace bitcoin in the future.

it could be bitcoin into digital currency in the future, but maybe there will be a more sophisticated and safer digital currency than bitcoin, so do not be too quick to state that bitcoin is a digital currency in the future.

I believe it is safe to say that it can have its own suitable place on the internet. There is no stopping it now.

Is Bitcoin the future of crypto currency? It is for now and will probably continue to be so for the next year or two.

The next year or two? Then what cryptocurrency do you propose that would replace Bitcoin? Is it as widely accepted by the merchants? Is it as secure as Bitcoin?

When it comes to understanding which crypto will last, we can't really peer into the future and get told which coin is worth it. A altcoin could end up on top of Bitcoin a few years from now, we simply don't know.

I agree, but it is also possible that Bitcoin will stay on top forever.

Is Bitcoin the future of currencies? Well it's too early to say right now, but probably not.

Always thinking the same it, it is too early to say that bitcoin could become to be a main currency of all or a global currency and let's say if the bitcoin cash of other crypto's would simply move on top of bitcoin or when will bitcoin would last, or what could happen if all the coins are already mine then what is next for bitcoin in exceeding more with it's price, but a common thing that can happen is that the price would surely skyrocket to the moon but what is the last prediction with the price of bitcoin.

We can speculate on this and rightfully say yes Bitcoin is the future of cryptocurrency. Although this dominance can only be for a while as new cryptos with meaningful usages are coming up everyday now. With time, maybe in 2018/2019, one of this new coins will expectedly overtake Bitcoin.

Bitcoin IS the cryptocurrency!
Other altcoins can only try to beat the original bitcoin, but it's hard
But the cryptocurrency have a big future, because more and more people are interested to them

Actually with the advent of a global currency, all petty fuckwit governments become irrelvant.

We are now citizens of Satoshi, the planet earth, also known as Sophia or wisdom...

LOL what you are saying is interesting, i'm going to marvel at this ridiculous world. But the future of crypto can hardly be said before a nation accepts it, and a country once again gives it its embargo.

i always say people go too far with their speculations about bitcoin. they either say bitcoin will die or they say bitcoin will replace everything!
but in reality there is a whole lot of stuff in the middle between this moon and doom predictions. bitcoin is big and is going to grow a lot more and in the future it can even replace and put out of business a lot of online payment processors such as Paypal. but it is not going to become big enough to replace fiat (all currencies) also at the same time the technology that bitcoin introduced to the world will replace the traditional banking system soon.
