well there's a lot that it will say that it can replace the current transaction tool that we have and some say it will not.  It MAY replace the current transaction tool and that depends on the demands in the future but in my opinion as of NOW it will replace the current tool since still there's a lot of business that will not accept bitcoin (OLD SCHOOL business that still want CASH)

I don't think that  will be able to replace current transactions, no. It's a great tool, but there will always be people that use only fiat as a matter of principle
You are right, many opinions contradict this. But we believe,  can replace the current transaction tool. Seeing the current development of  very rapidly  Grin

Everything is possible, of course, but then ALL people should opt for using  in their transactions. This is a very complex process and I don't see it happening, unless it becomes somehow vital to adopt  instead of fiat. Some really serious issue with fiat should arise in order for this to happen
you can never predict the future and you never say something accurately about it. i think it is almost impossible that people should prefer bitcoin or cryptocurrency instead of fiat because there are many developing countries in the world as well so, to adopt crypto or btc instead of fiat is very difficult for them as compare to developed countries.
i mean developed in the term of technology and education.

With the rapid development of bitcoin. Do you think bitcoin is capable of being a future transaction tool that will replace the current transaction system?

Let's split the transaction tools into physical money and digital money.

1. Almost all countries are moving towards a cashless society. About 95% of transactions are digital. It is possible that in the future governments might gradually phase out cash.

2. It's not about capability, bitcoin is designed to be a global digital payment system, right now it's more about reliability. We can assume that bitcoin would be more stable in the future and would be one of the popular digital transaction tools.

3. Banking system, conventional money, centralized electronic payment systems, would bitcoin be replacing all these. No. Realistically/logically bitcoin wouldn't replace cash/banking system, but it would definitely revolutionize the digital payment system. Not replacing, but coexisting.

I think maybe bitcoin will be a transaction tool for payment .. not just for long term bitcoin investments capable of performing various financial transactions such as fiat money. I know some countries have legalized the use of bitcoins. There bitcoin is used to pay for goods or food. Maybe we know online store also have many who accept payment bitcoin as a means of pay. It's all possible for bitcoin. Bitcoin is a future payment solution

Lightning networks could provide a new avenue for faster and cheaper transactions if deployed. LN is currently on the works by several developers and will be deployed on the mainnet once everything is clear.

I think bitcoin and fiat currencies will coexist for decades  Undecided

Two more years and it will be a decade for bitcoin. Fiat will surely be the currency that's going to be used by all nations but that doesn't mean bitcoin will just die out.

Bitcoin can be a means of transactions in the future if popularity can be recognized by the general public and all countries can formalize it. Currently only certain countries can accept transaction payments with bitcoin, but in my country until whenever transactions using bitcoin must be exchanged first to the local currency that I use, because basically my country is a state law and have a rule of law that should not be prohibited Especially regarding transactions should use local currency that I use.

with on-chain transaction we will always have the blockchain size problem unless someone makes some crazy innovation to shrink the size of it drastically or make some innovation in storage and internet front so it becomes easier to handle that size.

with off-chain transactions it seems possible but they are not as good as on-chain bitcoin so far as i have seen!

Someday there will be a transaction tools that we will all gonna be using but for now let's just stick to it since there was none yet is available maybe there is but not that good or maybe not yet release. Of course everything is possible if everyone is supporting it on the first place. I don't know if they really need to debate the new transaction tools if someone showed it up just like of what the BCH is happening lately.

I do not think that it will be bitcoin that replaces the tools we have at the moment.
I suspect most of thr transactions will still be made in a fiat currency.
What can happen is that somehow the blockchain technology will be adapted by the banks.
That is something they are currently working on and I have no doubt that we will see this on the market soon.

Well if buildings or contractors and even local aggregates seller for that matter and multimillion companies would want to be paid by bitcoin then its gonna be ok. But i think that wont happen because there are still local commodities that needed to be bought buy cash. Probably if there are no people who works on the normal jobs that they are aware of btc then good. But as far as i know fiat convertion is very important if you still want to make another income resource.

This issue has been discussed many times and there are conflicting opinions, however, I myself believe that bitcoin can replace the current financial system, which will mark a whole new development for future technology.
