It's like apples and oranges. One can say they both are fruits and both are round. But they are different.

Why I created this thread about Ethereum & Bitcoin?

The reason is that I saw & read posts that says Ethereum vs Bitcoin or is Ethereum the biggest competitor of Bitcoin and so on.

For your information (FYI):

Might appear to be Ethereum is the biggest competitor to bitcoin and its crypto-empire as per most people are thinking. It is due to the rank of Ethereum as the second-largest market cap of any digital currency, and it had an even better performance last year than bitcoin. Well, both of these cryptocurrency aren't a direct threat to each other because they do have different mission at the moment.

People need to understand that Bitcoin focused extensively on building up its reputation as a payment facilitator, and only recently turned its attention to attracting businesses to its blockchain while Ethereum appears intent on pushing its blockchain to enterprises, while somewhat ignoring its Ether token as a means of payment.

It's clear that there's no competition to both cryptocurrency so people must stop asking question nor compare among these giants because they do have different platform and functionalities.

To make things simple, BTC covers a lot of business transactions. But of course, it doesn't limit itself with investors and shareholders. On the hand, altcoins cover a whole lot of platforms that don't just perform business transactions, It's more of the side of the customers buying products like skipping a level in a game, buying an album to a music store, paying someone for a portrait sketch.

I agree with you, there is no competition and both cryptocurrencies have different goals but, it can not forbid us to compare them
Comparing cryptocurrency is a natural thing because we are looking for the best option in several different interests eg: transferring assets to another exchange, saving transaction fees, etc.
