By the way the date of the second G20 is approaching. I think bitcoin will wait for the decisions of G20. We are not going to see a dramatic price action before this meeting.

What if regulators say good things about crypto this week? Can it be enough to make a trend reversal in the market?
Personally I think we need some sort of regulation to attract institutional investors in long term.
If they only say bad things, expect another wave of panic...

I am sure that the crypto currency market needs some kind of regulation to attract institutional investors in the long term. If this does not happen, most likely we will see a further decline in the market. Large players will not invest in an unregulated market

I have the same opinion. Solid investors will only invest in trust-worthy sphere. I am waiting for regulations and hope that Bitcoin will grow again.

I think there isa bit too much uncertainty in the space at the moment. Having the whole market increase in market cap by 30% on the back of some vague good news is pretty unhealthy because of the speculative nature it leads to. It could be seen as good however if you take the point of view that there are billions waiting in the wings to invest once regulatory standards are clarified.

In fact the G20 actually sounded only flattering words about crypt and prospects in the future. It seems to me this is a green light for the entire world.

Apparently it doesn't happen, these g20 country and maybe most of government in the world. Are still in the safe zone, they can not decide yet, whether going to support or against crypto. They know the potential of crypto to help their economic, but they scare if at the same time, crypto currency will destroy their fiat

I am pretty sure that the G20 will be able to make some trends based on what they could announce for or against crypto. If they keep mum though then I am confident nothing will happen with crypto and we can all be merry again.

Well we have heard everything from the G20 thing and it really bring positive impact to the market that's why around a week or two we have made a good rally up to $9K. The problem is that is not sustainable and we witness another pullback. So I conclude is not enough to balance or to even break the bearish trend that we are experiencing which makes a lot of investors worried.

Let's see how it goes in July though as they said they will have some proposals on how to regulated cryptos. I'm sure though that it will also bring us positive news.
Aside from G20 there are additional good news like south korea's merchant's accepting cryptocurrency. Even it brings good news but there's more powerful negative news any news that has been not cleared to many is a sign of dump. I don't know if the investors and some of the traders are afraid to the market and jump in again.

Ending the G20 summit did not pose a threat to the Crypto market, keeping the old rules, which would help keep investors safe and continue to invest in atolls. Perhaps by the end of 2018 the price of the altcoin will explode. They will double by three times the current price.

Sammit was successful. I think that the absence of bad news, it's already good Smiley I do not know what will happen to the
market further, but hopes still remain. After all, the market is not the first time.

What sense to discuss this G20 summit, he has passed, and nothing has changed. And nothing bad has been told there, but the market continues to fall. And all because he hasn't influenced the market, the market is affected by other more important factors!

I hoped that they talked about the issue of the crypto currency regulation. I'm glad that they did not forbid anonymous coins. In general, the results of the Summit are neutral and couldn't be the reversal point.

The G20 certainly has a good effect for the price, we can see from the beginning of 2018 the price has decreased, and if until after the G20 has decreased I think the logic that happens is cryptocurrency will decline and there is no significant development. can be optimistic if the price will be normal and high after the G20 conference is completed.

Personally, I was afraid that the G20 meeting will really bring us more bad news as we have heard that certain countries like France and Germany are really clamoring for a universal regulation.

But fortunately for us, its a total reversal, the G20 thing really brought a lot of good news that's why we have seen the market goes from $75xx-$9K and we even rode a 3 days highs.

Unfortunately, its not enough to sustained the market run as we goes down again. But at least, we are all up and very nervous because its really a big impact to us and its nice to see that it went on our favor.

I think the market still bearish because they postpone decisions about crypto to the next G20 meeting in July 2018 (Argentina). G20 is not against crypto. But they think crypto needs some regulations.

This news adds signs that nations around the world are looking into digital money amid fears that it is facilitating everything from money laundering to tax evasion. cheat. Japan, one of the world's largest digital money markets, has launched a licensing system for its exchanges last year in an effort to strengthen its oversight.

I agree with you. It seems the G20 conference are talking more about the advantages brought from the crypto, instead of making more strict policies. So I think this will make a tread reverse, the btc is more than 9000 usd now.

We will hope, because it is now the market is sleeping and post-penny prices are still falling. Summits have not yet given anything.

Yes, the summit does not decide the future of the cryptocurrency, it was an additional reason for the collapse of the market. The market has already turned, we will not fall below, now only up!

They will not change anything, because they will not take any active actions. They will say that there is such a problem, which needs to be settled or at least introduced payment terminals and that's all, let's wait for more time. So the market will change investors from great to small.

Well, my prediction is that this dump was arranged specially before summit, like previous one, in February. And market will rise for 30-40 %,  then there will be a flat during April and afterwards we will see another dump, even lower just before summit in may.
I also saw a chart in the last year where the beginning of the year would be a low price for the middle of the year to grow back to the end of the year as usual made by bitcoin each year

G20 is done few days ago but i can't really see a trend reversal as of now but for me it's a good indication for the comeback of all the crypto markets. I believe another indicator will be the Crypto regulation on another big crypto country which is KOREA. We all know that the market really shattered when this country decides to ban cryptos. So i was hoping this will be good sign, to sum it up i really wish that more and more activities like G20 summit will be done in order to enlighten more and more countries to adopt crypto currency.

What if regulators say good things about crypto this week? Can it be enough to make a trend reversal in the market?
Personally I think we need some sort of regulation to attract institutional investors in long term.
If they only say bad things, expect another wave of panic...

https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/851zv5/g20_summit_world_leaders_will_discuss/

Trend reversal has come regardless of the fact that countries have said that they will try to regulate cryptos as a whole. The recovery is coming regardless of any news that is coming out, it'll just delay a bit if it's negative news.

Anyways, people should start realizing that there is a minimal impact what world leaders think of crypto.

They can't shut down entire crypto networks, best they can do is regulate exchanges or attempt to ban crypto, but attempts at these are completely unsuccessful so far.

As predicted due to the good news in relation to regulation of bitcoin and cryptos at the G20 summit we will see bull runs now. If you sold out on the way down today is a great last chance to buy back in before the rebound. With the big whales content and large financial bodies not pushing for regulation of crypto you will see new winds within our sails. Buy/Mine/Hodl the market is taking a bull run. (Just my opinion)

I don't think dumps and pumps are exclusively related to these summits...
There's no assurance about that, however, the market surges a bit when G20 releases some statement about cryptocurrencies and its modification of the existing regulation, they were so positive most for the technology behind the cryptocurrency which is the blockchain tech, the adaptation of the said technology may empower the innovation, though it imposes a minimal impact it may start a fire of a positive buzz about the crypto and the blockchain, lets wait for the effect of the ads ban from google and twitter.

The news is all saying that bitcoin is bouncing back up because of so far 'positive commenting' from G20, but I am reading ALL of the related news and to be honest, what else is new? Japan still says regulate, that they already did. Germany still says it is recognized as means of payment, so that is nothing new. Nobody will dare to say they want to ban crypto. By now they understand fully that they cannot! And nobody wants to miss out on crypto, they all want their share.

So I do not think G20 has anything to do with this price now. Business as usual.

it is quite possible but we should check step by step. bitcoin should reach to 9200 usd first if we want to speak about a positive trend. after it it should reach over 12k usd to speak about beginning about bullish trend. after we see 12k usd we can expect a comeback from major altcoins as well.

Of course, if G20 make a good news to cryptocurrency it can make an investor believe this technology and potential to recover the market. Hopefully, the good news really comes, a lot of news today said that crypto didn't pose risk to the global economy.

yeah crypto is still very small, I don't think they are going to do something bad about this like ban it. But they will probably create more laws and regulation to protect investors.

It will definetely affect the price but I do not think it is very important for long term holders. Even irrelavant news cause price to move with speculation. This market is still very little either with regulations or not it will grow

What if regulators say good things about crypto this week? Can it be enough to make a trend reversal in the market?
Personally I think we need some sort of regulation to attract institutional investors in long term.
If they only say bad things, expect another wave of panic...

The issues on regulatory has curse more damage on bit coin and blockchain technology than any other issues. If governments can change the ways they attacked bitcoin and look at the way they can used bitcoin in other to benefit their society it will be better. If we tried to follow the desired of the bankers who see bitcoin as enemy we would miss the potential of what bitcoin stand for.

Probably we will experience a fake pump today and tomorrow and then G8 summit will happen. I expect those rets. to come up with one poor/negative decision about btc and price can slip really low. Those G8 participants definitely won't praise crypto..... so storm is coming.

I feel like it will turn out like during the SEC hearings a few months ago. Everything dumped before the SEC hearings and then after that we will have a bull run.

For the moment good news came out: no further regulation to be added on cryptocurrencies since "crypto-assets do not pose risks to global financial stability at this time"

https://uk.reuters.com/article/us-g20-regulations-carney/g20-watchdog-focuses-on-rules-review-holds-fire-on-cryptocurrencies-idUKKBN1GU0SF

Hopefully, it will start a trend reversal indeed  Smiley

I think we are seeing this short pump because of positive news from G20 summit. But I don't think it's a trend reversal. We are we down from the king trend line to achieve this. 2 times we failed to break and trade above the trendline so this time we need huge amount of volume else same story all over again.

Hm  i'm not think that this trend brake all anything haw impact in crypts . This is not like Forex or other stuff when you can predict with long term.

I certainly hope that by the end of this year majority of the countries recognize crypto currency as a legal investment and stop banning them.once they come up with clear lilicss then the institutions will jump in hard

It will definitely make a trend reversal, this summit isn't that important comparing to summit being held in may. Now they will discuss a bit possible options, but final solution will be on a next summit I guess

If they make a positive statement about good regulation, it will make the trend positive too. But I'm not so optimistic about bunch of bureaucrats who just want more taxes for them.

Bitcoin has nothing to do with this g20 or any goverment. But the news about btc in g20 will only be a momentum to pump or dump bitcoin so whale can get profit from this news. Actual price determine by mining cost. No one want to sell it cheaper then mining cost as long as btc transaction is still high. Look at the chart of transaction per day. It is increasing and if all nodes approve segwit and we can lower the price we will see volume of transactions increase again everyday. Thats the real analyze and fundamental analyze for long term holder.

Although crypto is a decentralized business and the world news should not effect it but what we have seen is that at the moment crypto is manipulated big time by the use of media and news. I hope it will change in the near future.

I think the effect of outside news is exaggerated. The main reason for market fall these last couple of months is just that the December rise was too high and was unsustainable. Today we are seeing a second supporting bounceback around the same low we had in Feb. I don't think that it is mostly due to good/bad news, I think it is mostly whole market confidence in response to the rise in December and the subsequent fall.

I actually consider that they will talk for cryptocurrencies, basically they will talk about regulations. I really didn't understand latest huge dump on that low prices at all. Market is very weird nowadays. Ethere is too cheap btw.

Well, my prediction is that this dump was arranged specially before summit, like previous one, in February. And market will rise for 30-40 %,  then there will be a flat during April and afterwards we will see another dump, even lower just before summit in may.

I don't think dumps and pumps are exclusively related to these summits...
Partly affects everything, because after the results of this summit, large investors understand whether they should invest in the crypt, and the whole market depends on them. So it's not long to wait.

GOOD NEWS! They just said that crypto are not a risk for the world' economy. They also said that they will focus on the existing laws instead of creating new ones.

https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/933658/cryptocurrency-news-bitcoin-price-market-mining-ripple-eretheum

LOl what did you expected?

That this G20 wil say no to crypto?  that would make G20 countries economic strength to be behind other 100 countries that would say yes to crypto.   I really dont get why on earth would anyone be worried what wil any country sa about crypto. Yes all of them and we also should smash all scams. ASAP.  Premines, ICOs, instamines, ...
I don't know why the majority of people are feeling worry about that. The fact even the majority of countries in canadian is working with ico regulation and it's acceptable in there. This doesn't make sense. But all of this bearish trend caused by bitcoin and ether big holders was selling so many amounts in the market directly.

The Financial Stability Board (FSB), which coordinates financial regulation for G20 countries, on Sunday rejected some cryptographic rules issued by some countries, such as Bitcoin.

The FSB, however, emphasizes the need for greater international coordination in monitoring this rapidly growing technology, which is still a small sector equivalent to less than 1% of global gross domestic product.

"The first assessment of the FSB is that at present, this crypto asset poses no risk to global financial stability," said Mark Carney, president of the FSB, in a letter to finance central bank ministers and central bankers who will meet in Buenos Aires on Monday and Tuesday .

So in this case, whether they are positive about the cryptocurrency. This news makes more comfortable about the decision they are going to take,  but crypto market are now mainly based on news and it is effecting the cryptocurrency.

The trend is already reversing due to the rumours of good news coming. Reuters just published an article which contains the quotes of The Financial Stability Board Chairman including the one on resisting the calls of some G20 members to regulate cryptocurrencies.

The bears is losing momentum now but the volume is not enough for a trend reversal at the moment (we need more time). Maybe the speed of the fall will decrease and the market is going to be more stable for a period of time.

We still do not know what is going to happen, but they are bullish on bitcoin, so i do not think that it will make a huge downside before this.

There will be probably an increase on the price towards $9000, but not more than that.
