Gamblers know their chances, but it is sad to say that many still believe that a big win will completely change their lives. This mindset often pushes them to spend more on gambling than on things that bring real profits.
In fact, some even take loans to fund their gambling habit but they can't afford to do it for investments. Many become addicted to gambling simply because they don’t fully understand what it is really about.

You're definitely right because cauteousness is one thing that gambler's should always think of when gambling because it will serve as a reminder to them to regulate their gambling excesses because gambling when not properly controlled can be a serious issue to the individual
Gambling is the act of using money in betting in an uncertain event and this has really lead to people losing their hard earned money and it has become a problem to many of such people at the long run especially when the gambling has become an habits which could be described as addiction
But one thing that I have come to realize is that most gamblers out of the potential profit which to me is not real and realistic since it's not certain that you're going to win doesn't apply caution when gambling because when someone is always cautious about his activities there will be a level of discipline and self control over such activities like gambling
