Does it matter? Max payouts would have been almost impossible to happen, if you put your money into dice targeting a max payout, you will always lose your money.

it makes different , I agree with you that dice owners always will have an edge and it's hard to hit big
but without having a big bankroll two lucky players may make the site broke if there was a big payout limit on something like X64000
in my opinion this is why most dice sites stick to X9900 with limited maximum profit

I have a question - Has anybody ever won the big jackpot on well known bitcoin casinos that are advertised on these forums, prime dice for example?

I know some lowlife found a glitch in their code & stole lots of bitcoins but has anybody ever won the big jackpot on any of the main bitcoin gambling sites?

Yes there were many people won jackpot at Fortunejack, Dadice, Coinichiwa, Mbitcasino and other casinos which has Jackpot slot games.

Well, there have been 6 winners of Da Dice jackpot till now. Not sure if you mean "big" like that, but 0.2-0.5BTC is certainly big for a 1 satoshi bet. Smiley

yes if he know how to play Wink it's possible but it's so hard

what exactly do you mean "you know how to play"?!!!

it is gambling on a dice site it is not the how, it is just chance and specially on the max payout multiplier , it is just a teeny tiny chance of winning. you can win on your first bet or even never. and there is nothing you can do to change that.
know how to play it's to have a high balance with a good strategie Wink  and when you pass the payout amount you withdraw all :p

i see. but there are no good strategies when it comes to playing dice games. it is completely dependent on luck . which means no matter what you do and how much bitcoin you have in your bank-roll you could end up losing if you get unlucky.

I have hit '0' on primdice a long time back but it wasn't even close to be called the Jackpot, I think it was during a Happy Hour and I was going all in on every faucet apart from that I don't think I ever saw anyone hitting a Jackpot, I remember some guy winning 10 BTC on some kind of slots but that's it.

It's just about they want to risk

9900 is a crazy amount,if you bet 0.01 and win, payout is 99 bitcoin and almost any site can afford that amount

If you go to luckyb.it there are several whale that seems to win big by hit 999x using 0.1 that means he will have a chance to get 99,9 btc. You can try their site, seems they never have a problem although with such a big payout. I think this is a great gambling site too since luckyb.it is a chance gambling site

has anybody really get the max payout like the 9900x or 64000x in any sort of gambling dice?

I remember a pricedice user called hui made thousands of bets & he was able hit 9900x several times
But, i heard he didn't get profit from it Sad

Isn't there a limit on betting on such multipliers? I mean i don't think primedice would allow someone to bet more than 1 btc, which is already a really big amount for a 9900x payout, i mean 10k bitcoins would be devastating for primedice, so does anyone know what the max bet is on that multiplier.

For Primedice, there is a max payout (bet profit + your original bet size) of 20 btc on each bet at the moment.
So if you are betting on 9900x, the most you can bet would be 20 btc / 9900 = 0.00202020 btc.

but it would be interesting to hear some success stories about people winning big time just by hitting the max profit, no matter the amount.

I don't know, playing at such low % chance of winning is really slow playing, there is really no point in doing so, we all know strategies dont work but at least you can speed up the process and if there is a limit of 20 btc there is really no point unless you want to waste your time.

i agree. i don't know how anybody can do that. since the chances of winning are so low at those high payout it means that you are in fact losing a lot of times for example 200 times in a row. i can not bear the pressure of losing 5 times in a row (seeing red) let alone 200 Cheesy

My question is clear and simple- Why do most dice sites have a max payout of 9900x while, satoshidice , being a dice site as well, has 64000x max payout?

Depends on many factors like decimals (like someone mentioned above).

A more proper method is to compare the max profit/payout or edge. SatoshiDice has I think around 10 BTC max profit, and a 1.x house edge. Doesn't remember exactly.

The limiting factor is the max bet/profit/payout in absolute amounts. Not the multiplying factor.

Maybe he means starting from the lowest bet and then increasing it by some small percent. BTW I once saw seuntjie making 0.1 or something on dadice while trying the site with his bot, while he used some incorrect settings. So most of the 9900x or higher bets in my guess are all just a matter of luck.

Take for example this:
Rollin: You can bet Less than 1, which is Win percentage for 1%, and betting it you get a 99x, thats because there are no decimals
It's just depends on how many decimals they use.
If I would use like x.000000 I think I could offer like 999000x or something.
Yes but if you were planning on bigger payout you could just change the number of places. Looks like many people are misunderstanding my question, I meant to ask why limit max payout if you can just limit the max profit.

Because Max Profit is a derivative of Max Payout. Hence it is easier to use Max Payout as the limiting factor.
Yes I know that, but most websites do already have a max profit amount, so why limit the max payout then? If you win 10,000x at 0.3 at 20btc max profit , you would still get only 20btc . So what is the reason behind limiting the max payout cuz you do get the same amount limited by max profit even if you win big with a max [ayout.

A= Max Profit
B= Max Payout

Max profit is what a site can pay maximum on a bet and it depends on it's Bankroll. Max payout is the max multiplier a site can provide, both are necessary but if B is bigger than A then Payout is only made as far as A allows it, for anything below that, B is paid out. So they both have their own requirements.

i have only seen the high multipliers on very small amounts. and most of them are using it on faucets.
especially the faucet farmers do this with very small amounts that they can get from faucets and then multiply it, so i think it doesn't matter how high it goes because nobody risks huge amounts of money on them.

probably it's all about the bankroll and the max profit , technically having big payouts won't change the house edge and site's ownes will always have the edge
but maybe they don't want a catastrophe to happen when someone hits big
if it's about the numbers they can reprogram the site with 99.999 instead of 99.99 for example , so probably it's all about the bankroll and max profit

max payout always depends on the bankroll of their sites. More the bankroll more max payout you can offer to your players. Usually casinos have bankroll 10x or 20x to max payout but it depends casino to casino.

My question is clear and simple- Why do most dice sites have a max payout of 9900x while, satoshidice , being a dice site as well, has 64000x max payout?

Take a site like primedice, there's 10,000 discrete options  [0.00, 99.99] so the most risky bet is having a 1 in 10,000 chance of winning. With a house edge of 1%, that means the most you can win is 9900x

The more discrete options (i.e. values after the decimal) the more possible risky bet possible thus higher payout. I think JD for instance uses 4 digits after the decimal, which means the riskiest bet would be a 1-in-a-million, which would allow them to have a max payout of 990000x

On a side note, before you play on satoshidice, you might want to checkout the latest in their thread

Im pretty sure JD has the max payout set on like the 10% of their house bankroll or something along those lines, anyhow i doubt any site could afford to pay a 9900x win if you are betting high amounts of money which probably not a lot of people do.

maybe it is  because nobody can even win that much , either with the odds or with the system being rigged (just a suspicion that's all)

How is that your suspicion when almost all dice sites are provably fair?   I know provably fair isn't perfect but no one is able to prove otherwise at any major dice sites or they would not still be in operation.

I think its because when people bet using 9900x they are usually using bots and slowing down the server. SO when you have a 64000x max bet when you are obviously not going to hit the jack pot soon. Probably to elimiate the people who code bots.

It depends on their bankroll.
If they have a small bankroll, having a high max payout is risky for them as they
could loose most of their bankroll. This is why now many site have a max profit instead of a max payout.
