I smell lawsuits. Game of Thrones is a trademark and even actually selling accessories are prohibited without their license.

With this they should have no problems. These are cryptocurrencies and the market is such that they don’t even look at licenses here. But the project itself is simply nothing and looks like a one hundred percent scam.

According to Tokyo-based Zilla, creating a community token and faucet works as a marketing tool. By creating the Reiwa token and announcing the faucet on its Japanese Twitter account, Zilla was able to gain hundreds of new followers. It send tokens to over 700 Ethereum addressses and gained over 300 new email subscribers.

Yesterday it also created a Game of Thrones (GoT) token to further demonstrate the concept, putting a time limit on the giveaway.

The principle is that it’s a fun and easy way to introduce people to cryptocurrency and using crypto wallets, without making an investment. Plus, everyone loves getting something for free, whether it’s valuable or not.

Tokens for Any Purpose
Projects may also have bigger and more lucrative plans for their tokens, and Zilla is also working on a feature to create tokens intended as actual trade-able assets (for whatever purpose you choose that’s legal in your jurisdiction).

Zilla suggests combining a new token faucet with an online ad. Of course, giving away an actual exchange-listed asset such as its own Zilla (ZLA) helps — though that requires a greater financial outlay.

The Zilla site and mobile wallet app is aimed at token collectors and traders. Both have the token-generation feature and can hold any number of Ethereum-based assets. it also has in-depth information about token projects and ICOs, as well as listings for upcoming conference events.

What are these tokens for? What opportunities do they give their owners compared to other altcoins?
What are they needed for???

Guys pranksters of course. Hope they spend more on the site than they manage to raise money in the end.

And again, it contain ref link, hidden by shortener, which leads us to: https://zla[dot]io/en/got/faucet/?ref=75--snipped--. Posting ref link is discouraged on this forum, I believe you know that. Edit your post and delete the link or I'll have to report your thread to moderator.

Unless you're going to use the currency to fix season 8, you're not only too late to the party but are also courting a lawsuit. Copyright owners have to protect their IP by prosecuting any and all perceived infringement

Everyone loves free token, true. It is good to introduce crypto by giveaway (or airdrop, if you may), also true. But if token has no value, then it'll just be annoying for wallet owners, and gave bad impressions of "it's hard to sell tokens on crypto" to newbie.

Plus, is that a referral on your link? Even if it's disguised with shortener

Such funny project you had to start when there was a peak of hyip. And now, when it ends, it makes no sense to even begin. I do not think that there will be many fans who will be willing to invest in this.

It's true. You can't just create tokens that use brand names or celebrity names. You can try and fly under their radar but I remember back in 2014 when some guys launched Conye coin and they received a cease and desist letter from kanye west lawyers. Cagecoin was created using Nicholas Cage as a meme and you cant still find that one on coinmarketcap xD
It is a gamble but I don't think many people will want to play that game.

Lawyers will be only active if token brings a lot of attention and money. Otherwise token can die as many others in obscurity. With an announcement like that I see much more chances in the second way, rather than first one.

the idea is interesting, but you cant just make tokens with major brands names
IF it ever got traction, the ACTUAL GoT people would sue its ass off
no point in even taking part, as exchanges don't want the liability either and never list these
nub
