lol same thoughts, bitname is way much better that namecoin imo Smiley, i guess the people who started the idea wanted to give the project a strong corellation with the bitcoin so choose the coin suffix to try and give people the assurance it's backed up by some kind of coins. anyway too late i guess to change Smiley

While I admire the ideas bitcoin gave the community, I am honestly confuse by the "coin" put everywhere. I associate it with a currency, with coins. I guess this is why I had some trouble understanding namecoin..

Wouldn't bitname, bitvote, bitgame, bitwhatever be more clear?
