Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
I'm not a fan of Gamers challenges but I think most of them make money by doing live broadcasts during the game. If this is the case, then privacy is not a priority for them, so it makes no difference whether identity verification is mandatory or not.
In general, we are finding use of Bitcoin instead of speculation and quick profit, but I do not see the actual value of Bitcoin in this case. Any token can be used in this case or the possibility of withdrawing (with cryptocurrencies instead of cash) if you do not want to verify the identity.
Most of the youtubers don't care about the privacy but they may care when it comes to a third party which collects more of our personal sensitive data like address, bank statement, etc.

I think the better way to cash out is to move the earned bitcoins to their wallets and just go through the way how they are performing in the past.

this is a very good breakthrough, especially among gamers but what I regret here is that ZEBEDEE still uses bitstamp and I still don't use it much because I think the exchange is very ordinary and there are still many exchanges that are better than bitstamp.
besides that KYC is still being debated.

The gambling system is still the same as the others. I think it will be risky when what will be at stake really exceeds expectations. because gamers may not necessarily be able to use Bitcoin payments if they focus on games using fiat money payments. So far I don't really understand how the concept works as a whole. it's just that for a game like this it will be the same as betting on several gambling sites.

Bitcoin has already been adopted by all the marketplaces, that are used for buying/selling CS:GO skins, like Bitskins,Skinbaron, etc.
Yeap. besides those platforms, I'm surprised how not a lot of people are aware that gaming market forums such as Sythe exists; whereas a lot of people trade in-game skins and items using bitcoin.

I wonder how the gamers will earn bitcoins by playing Counter Strike:Global offensive.
Technically, CSGO players can already play while earning bitcoin. There are item drops in CSGO after every game(if you're lucky), and players can easily sell those for bitcoin using the platforms we've named.

Not worth it...

1. Went to check the app on my spare phone and was asked to KYC in order to gain full access of the wallet

2. It's more on microbets

Entrance fee is either 100 sats / 1,000 sats / 10,000 sats. Choose the level you feel comfortable with. The higher the entrance fee, the higher the competition!

I couldn't confirm but if there was no way to send the btc to an external wallet, that's definitely a three.

Don't forget that this is just a form of gambling and majority of competitive online gamers are teenagers, and teenagers should absolutely not be encouraged to gamble. This isn't the right kind of adoption that we want to see as a community. It's no coincidence that they choose Bitcoin as their payment method, PayPal and banks would quickly disconnect them, as they threat illicit gambling very suspiciously.

I think BitSkins already had a very clear and simple process of withdrawing money. And then, a lot of people will probably give up personal info for such partnerships and never actually cash out. I mean, it usually takes a very long while to accumulate enough money from a game server to withdraw even without BTC, and now add mining fees to that..

So it isn't really very beneficial to us imo. Good for the gamers who really want to use this kind of service, but it'll be much more users sending out personal info than there'll be withdrawals for it to be worth it overall..

Crypto Swap Exchange
Interesting concept but if I understood everything correctly, players could end up losing more than what they've wagered [based on their skills and final scores] and I believe that is one of its downsides [apart from Jawhead999's comment].

I wonder how the gamers will earn bitcoins by playing Counter Strike:Global offensive.

I've never heard of this ZEBEDEE wallet and I won't use such service.Unfortunately KYC policies are becoming inevitable and more and more online services will ask for ID verification and proof of address.

It's unfortunate ZEBEDEE is using Bitstamp exchange while there's many better exchanges outside, Bitstamp has a suck new rules ask KYC about your own address [1] (even though this only in Netherlands, but we can't know in the future) or even better if not use any exchange and directly transfer to own wallet, it will safe some fees.

However it's still a good news though for Bitcoin can be widely adopted for CS:GO player.

Thanks to informal integration designed by startup ZEBEDEE, gamers can earn bitcoins with shooting computer games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO).
Although the ZEBEDEE Bitcoin Gaming Wallet is practical and offers a unique competitive experience for (CS: GO), it acknowledges that transferring money from the ZEBEDEE Bitcoin Gaming Wallet has not been easy.
This is where the BitStamp cryptocurrency exchange comes into play. Today, the exchange announced that BitStamp has started its cooperation with ZEBEDEE wallet. According to BitStamp technical director David Osojnik, users can log in to their ZEBEDEE wallet using their BitStamp account information, and transfer or convert bitcoins earned through the game.
