According to Globant, 34% of gamers are interested in conducting crypto transactions in the Metaverse, while 16% have purchased NFTs in the past.
Fake.
Anyone who spends at least 10 minutes in any popular gaming forum or discord server knows very well that every gamer (probably 9 out 10) in the hates cryptos, especially pc gamers cos they blame miners for the GPU shortage and the massive price increase in gpus (because the demand is so high)
i do believe the NFT part, a lot of companies in the gaming industry took advantage of the NFT hype with tons of marketing and made bank

This is also the first thing that comes to my mind, I mean how can we verify the result of the survey itself? And why would the gamers be interested on crypto or metaverse.

And the same reasoning as yours, since the bull run of 2017 and then followed by the problems with AMD and other makers of GPU having shortage because of crypto enthusiast buying them in bunch for rigs and to mine crypto, there seems to be a hate relationship between this two industries.

The survey is just a scheme to promote something.  It doesn't represent the whole target audience.  I am a gamer but don't hate crypto miners for the increase of GPU price rather thankful to them because occasionally there are lots of 2nd hand GPUs in good condition that sells way cheaper than buying brand new.

Crypto and metaverse bind perfectly so whenever a player is into Metaverse, he will automatically expect NFTs and blockchain stuff.

Some gamers wants to monetize their hobby, and considering they start to adopt metaverse most probably they are expecting to earn some crypto so this survey might be true and seriously, many metaverse games now are issuing their own token, though its not that big but at least there’s money involve. Gamers will still need to analyze since some games required some investment, and that gamer might be disappointed because of this.

One would hope that this survey is a true reflection of the situation in the Metaverse. If the speculative trend does not change, then all these projects, even among those with a quality and original product, will become victims of market speculation. After all, users see these tokens as just a good way to get rich quickly, and this negatively affects the promotion of Metaverse and other trends in the crypto industry.

Imagine, as the gamers we hate a micro-transction.

Then, came there has been some new game mechanism #Metaverse while you're gonna to need a new device to play the game (could be expensive) + a worst thing the game using NFTs. As the gamers, we already paid for the game and then soon we're gonna to pay anything for playing the game.

Not everything need #Crypto & NFTs and most of gamers community already enough with that. Even Gaben from Steam don't want any NFTs on his ecosystem.

The relentless bear market has been a tough time to enjoy playing in the game and in fact, you couldn't afford to dream of playing and earning at the same time. However, everything is changing now and the players are no longer safe from those who are chasing their goal of earning money and playing at the same time.

I doubt it.  I honestly really doubt it.  While I get they may be frustrated because GPU prices have exceeded limits multiple times, I doubt this led to a hatred against Cryptocurrencies.  In fact, I honestly believe it is much easier to get a gamer to understand how Bitcoin works than the average, regular Internet user.

Besides, we are talking about a niche of gaming.  We are talking about Metaverse.  Metaverse users are different from typical gamers since not everyone gets to agree that VR or AR is fun and great.  Since VR and AR is kind of futuristic and the Metaverse pretty much makes you temporarily leave reality to be immersed in a fully digital world, it would make sense if a large percentage of Metaverse gamers wanted Cryptocurrency transactions to be part of the experience.

True, NFTs are the evilest form of what gamers already hate, micro transaction. Any new games that announced they will start an NFT style got booed all the way from Twitter to gaming forums. In the gamer's view, NFTs are just a shameless cash grab instead of focusing on the gameplay. I only know a few examples similar to NFTs but found its success in the gaming space is CSGO's skin but it was quite different from how Vavle's implemented the mechanism and the background behind it.

Due to the rampant play to earn projects since last year until the bear market has come. It's interesting that you get paid to play and it's like what everyone is dreaming of.
You enjoy and you're earning at the same time and that's the desire of the majority since everyone is into gadgets. There's a belief from the oldies that you can't earn and play at the same time before but times have changed.

Like a few other gamers, I am quite skeptical about the issue raised in this article, because in fact, I do not see a great deal of support from the traditional gamers around me for the new area that we mentioned. A small regional experiment doesn't mean much for the entire field and for what we've come to know about Metaverse, but I'm also very supportive of more and more relevant and quality new products.

I also think that a lot of the traditional gamers are categorically denying anything that has to do with cryptocurrencies or metaverse being implemented in one of their favorite games and i can understand that. I am a gamer myself and that whole pay-2-win trend withing gaming is really bad for the whole industry and of course especially for the gamers itself. Therefore it makes totally sense that gamers don't want to have cryptocurrencies implemented in their games because that basically means that the game will also have microtransactions and i would guess that no gamers wants his game to have that kind of crap.

Metaverse and cryptocurrencies are the perfect combination, because cryptocurrencies offer financial freedom and allow users to transact without boundaries. And also various crypto features will really help to make the metaverse platform more modern.

According to Globant, 34% of gamers are interested in conducting crypto transactions in the Metaverse, while 16% have purchased NFTs in the past.

Despite a backlash from a vocal part of the gaming community, a new survey has revealed one-third of gamers have expressed interest in using crypto in the Metaverse.

And, more gamers than not believe that the Metaverse will have a positive impact on gaming.

The survey was published on Wednesday by institutional software developer Globant. It was conducted by YouGov and polled 1,000 adult PC, console and/or mobile gamers last month, with 34% of respondents indicating an interest in conducting crypto transactions in Metaverse.
