eth updating the network so that fees will be lower, maybe it is done to return or withdraw people who have moved using the bsc network, hopefully the eth network will return to normal and approaching bsc for fee issues.

because there has been no announcement from the team regarding the settlement of this transaction fee which reportedly will be completed in July this year.
so there is a big possibility that what is happening now is the impact of reducing transactions in the market.
but the decline that occurred was very fast. take advantage of it immediately because this may soon lead to increased transaction costs again.

This is not surprising, because even currently the number of transactions is slightly decreasing, therefore the transaction fees are also decreasing. This is certainly also related to the price correction in crypto at the moment. The fees can quickly shoot up again, should the price of Ethereum and crypto rise again.

and now the price of GAS is in the range of 40. This is very good for the future. I hope the price of GAS returns to normal as before. this will be good for eth rally later. Many people speculate that eth will be replaced by BNB because of the high transaction costs, but if you see gas prices go down. there is no more reason to switch to another platform.
I've seen how transaction fees have started to drop. hopefully this will last a long time and not as usual which is very volatile.
With these fixes we will soon see trading on the Ethereum network increasing. we can watch Uniswap will heat up soon. it looks like ethereum momentum will soon be seen in the market.

Actually noticed this too, thought this was going to be a temporary thing but seems to hold up well fees are now as low as 55 gwei which hasn't happened in a long time.

Maybe the berlin upgrade is in full throttle and miners have got the hang of it, just hope it will be possible to send tokens for as low as $5.
I actually hope that this isn't temporary thing considering so many people have been moving to BSC and the projects aswell because y'know BSC was made by binance, now that the fee has been settled "kinda" and even EIP1559 hasn't implemented yet I'm guessing we gonna see a lot more reduction of gas price in the future hopefully.
If ETH could reach 100.000 tps which really sounds good considering ETH has been slowly fixing its problem even though the current state of eth still has around 15 tps

There is no solution that can solve this problem on Ethereum's side. There must be something that triggers a reduction in the cost of gas on ETH. Perhaps many have switched to bsc to be one of the causes, resulting in a decrease in transactions on the ETH network, and if this continues, it is not a good thing for ethereum's survival.
Have you noticed that if the tx fees on ethereum chain already decreased so hard? I just see that recently and it looks like something happening after the implementation of berlin fork.
I think that you must see this https://etherscan.io/chart/tx

The daily chart for averate txs on ethereum network is quite stable. I don't even think the exodus already given big impact to the fees.

i hold some coins to few months btw i cannot sell for gas fee. finally waiting is ended now it seems affordable transaction fee. i hope fee will more falling gradually.

Maybe ethereum has noticed that some of the projects using their platform have started to go to use Binance, but even though fees have fallen, it's still more expensive than their big rival (Binance)
hope ethereum fees will continue to fall. btw now 38 GWEI

According to today's data on Coinmarketcap, the gas fees are like this. I hope that we can see the fees staying at these levels the most permanently. Maybe it won't happen for now and will rise again. But like I said before, it's not an impossible problem to be solved. I believe we will get rid of high fees in time.

It's even 35 gwei now, definitely a good time to make transaction for those who wants to move their erc20 considering the gas required for it is humongous and now finally I can use swap platform again since a long time i've been using cex because i'm gonna go broke if I need to pay the ridiculous fee. But what exactly the cause of the gas fee price decrease though? I've heard somewhere else that the high gas price was caused by the trading bot in dex or cex that didn't lower their fee but it seems the fee has been decrease all of a sudden, maybe it's because majority of people holding their eth or converting it to btc already?
I did not expect such transactions from this network. Finally, we have waited for it. If such a commission lasts for several months, then the real price tag on ETH can reach 5 thousand for 1 token.

ETH better make some moves fast, because all eye is on BSC for it's low transaction fee i.e. very efficient for people to do multiple transactions with small amounts.
BNB has all the chances to rise more
No need to be in hurry because the nature of eth's blockchain and bsc's are totally different. most of people who uses BSC always buy bunch of shitcoin anyway meanwhile the newer projects that have good quality still stay in ETH and hopefully it will stay like this when majority of people move over to BSC because dang I miss ETH before it's got too overcrowded like before, now that many people have migrated to BSC it's like a breath in the fresh air.
Seriously, BSC is absorbing all the generic swap and shitcoins out of ETH blockchain which is good  Roll Eyes.

Yes,gas fees is falling, it is a good sign for transaction. But on the other hand, i consider why gas fees is falling these days, is it means the Ethereum Network is unbusy now, think about the crypto market these days, in my opinion, these gas fees fall is bad, maybe Bear market is coming now.

Until now, Gas price is still around 50 gwei on the ETH network, I am not too impressed if the ETH gas costs go down because most ETH users switch to the BSC network, which automatically network traffic on the ETH blockchain is not as crowded as it used to be.
maybe if ETH could equal the gas cost of BSC then it would be very attractive.

That might be a very good competition towards this two giant chain.

If ETH can equalized the current fee from BSC then the benefactors are the end users who use this chains, so far there are traders and investors who are okay and enjoying this current cheaper transaction fees for ETH they can move their assets that being hanged and start
making some decent money or liqudate to reinvest to other projects.

Likewise. I have been hodling some token for a while now that is anoly available for trade on Uniswap but the gas fees have been crazy so i decided to continue to hodl then cos I cant afford to spend that much in transaction fees but just found out from some post here that some time in the days and some days in the week mostly weekends have lower gas fees and i did try out a transaction a while ago with a much lower fee than what I would have paid for same transaction if I had done it days before now. I think we should be exploiting that direction for now to reduce the gas fees until this issue is resolved by the eth team.

I noticed it today that the gas fee has been less than 100 Gwei today. I doubt if its a long term improvement or simply based on the fact that the market is less congested. I recall there was a news about the ethereum 2.0 project having a great impact on the transaction fee of the blockchain, I hope it works.

I think the gas falling is as a result of people migrating to BSC and other chains for their Defi projects thereby reducing the workload on ethereum on-chain network.  Another reason could also be the dump we experienced 3 days ago, some persons staying off-trade. I assure you the high gas fee will soon be back until the real issue is finally fixed.

This high transaction cost in Ethereum is a slap in the face of those who have come to believe in cryptocurrencies. This has been a significant disadvantage for those who only have a few coins or tokens.Maybe Layer 2 would make it far more competitive for blockchain Dapps, but like I previously said, gas prices would not be reduced. The price would be determined by the demand.

I don't really know why the gas fees are dropping at the moment. Maybe because recently a lot of projects and therefore users switched to BSC which reduced the network congestion of ETH. Making a swap is still too expensive in my opinion, because little trades with a volume of 50$ or less just don't make any sense at the moment when you have to pay a third of that amount as gas fees.
This is exactly what i was thinking after seeing the topic, they are planning for the network upgrade but i have not heard about implementing them completely to have any changes in the network fees, it may be because majority of the projects shifted to BSC and may be that is the reason the fees started to come down. Personally i have not done any ETH transaction for a long time may be once in the last one month just to sell off some of my holdings when the price crossed $2k.

On April 15, the Berlin hard fork occurred, one of the goals of which was to reduce commissions in the ethereum network. Finally, the problem with high fees should be solved after the Ethereum 2.0 update, when the network bandwidth will be increased. But even today, the network commission allows you to perform transactions with minimal costs.

It looks like many of the ERC20 tokens is migrating on BEP20 chain due to the low price of the Binance smart chain fee. Probably this is one of the major reasons why ETH gas is slowly falling. I just hope that the upcoming update of ETH will fix the problem on their ever-rising gas fee whenever the network is congested.

In recent days I have seen the price of GAS go down. which was above 100 is now starting to get closer to 50. This is very good for the future, what's more, the problem of the high cost of Ethereum transactions has been quite a while. The question is whether this will continue until the gas fees return to normal, or will there be an increase again as transactions become more intense on the ethereum network.

for those of you who want to see the latest GAS prices you can see it at https://ethgasstation.info/

Even if they are slowly falling, there are no guarantees that it will continue to downtrend. Once the Ethereum price spikes up again, so as the gas fees. This is why it's totally absurd to initiate a transaction where sometimes fees are just more than the amount we wanna swap (I have experienced that one time). We have seen the crypto market gone a little bloodbath before it slowly rebounds again. As long ETH 2.0 is not yet fully launched and implemented, this gas fee problem would remain for a very, very, very long time.

That's a good news then and I've checked that after reading your post OP. This is now going to save a lot of ETH for those who have been transacting through ETH.
There's no reason now to complain but the question if this is going to last or how long it will remain in low fees. Hopefully that this is the start of it that the fees have already calmed.

To be honest, I don't know how much gas fee I've been contributed already on the eth network when I am using uniswap and dexes. Last time Ive check is 3.39eth already have been consume for my gas fee on my wallet. Excluding other wallets I've used. Damn when I thinking of this I don't know how much money has been going only on fee that supposedly can be used for a living damn ethereum kindly step up a bit.

true, this is already very detrimental to us, which only takes a long time to collect Eth, especially with GAS that has been a burden for a long time and if collected, like what you have spent on GAS costs. imagine the number 3.39eth is not a small nominal. for us as small traders it is much more valuable than our trading income for more than one year.

Thank god the days of 200 gwei and more seem to be gone.. at least as of now. At the moment we are at around 55 gwei which means around 3 $ for an ETH transfer, 6$ for an ERC-20 Token transfer and around 15$ for an uniswap trade. it is possible that transactions have started to get low due to improvements from ethereum. Because ethereum holders have always complained about that, I think this is an improvement on the part of ethereum. and we hope that in the future the gas price will be lower so that there will be no more complaints from eth holders themselves.

Not completely good, it shows that lesser people are transacting with ETH at the moment, ETH team haven't fixed the high gas fee issue so I suspect that many people aren't doing transactions on eth network right now

Again this is also bad news for ETH miners, their daily reward just got more lower than before
This is good news anyway, and it means that those who still use the ethereum network can do so without being annoyed. Many now, including myself, simply do not make transactions on this network, especially for small amounts. Especially now, when prices in the market have dropped decently.
I have quite a few ERC-20 tokens, but I am waiting for the ethereum network to bounce back. I hope this will happen within a few months, after July.
Given the number of tokens issued on the ethereum platform, the popularity of this coin will recover in a very short period, especially if the update is successful.

Utilising Ethereum nowadays is a waste of money for small time users. People can’t wait for the fix and starting to use other network that is why Ethereum transaction is slowly decreasing. Can’t sell erc20 tokens easily and missed significant pumps due to the gas fees mess.

This is good news for all coin or token holders who have been trapped in high GAS for a very long time, almost half a year the wait for cheap GAS is awaited. That way, not only sending coins from hard wallets to the market, but also from distribution campaigns that are under the Ethereum network will begin to be distributed immediately.

hopefully this will be even better in the future so that eth users are back to normal.

I noticed it. Transduction fees of eth and erc-20 tokens are decreasing. Recently, I Make a ERC-20 token transaction and that transaction cost around 3-4 USD worth ETH. Hope gas fees will decreased more soon.

is what you said true? a few minutes ago I did a GAS average check for transactions on the Ethereum network. To make an ERC-20 transfer, it requires at least $ 8 - $ 9, while the fee to increase or decrease LP at Uniswap is still very high, which is between $ 22 - $ 24.
the source I got was from Etherscan

BTW, is this a result of the reduced number of users on Ethereum's blockchain network? As we know, many users switch to the BSC network and leave ETH temporarily or maybe forever. This of course results in a reduction in the number of transactions that occur on the Ethereum network

Having fewer transactions on the Ethereum network is also a sign that the market is about to fluctuate strongly. I remember when the long-term downtrend was very cheap and no one cared about them. I don't know if shortly GAS on Ethereum will go high but now is a good opportunity to move your tokens at a good cost.

I don't think that's why the transaction fee could go down. back then when the market crashed, transactions on the ethereum network remained solid. So I'm sure it's not because the market is in red. I think this is due to the fact that many people are starting to switch to using the BSC platform. and this is not a very good situation, it might have implications for ethereum in the future.

For the first time in months, I feel as comfortable with transactions on Ethereum as I am now. The market looks quiet, which could be a sign of a big value change in the coming days.

Right now, everyone should take advantage of transactions to have good transaction costs because tomorrow may not be as favorable as today.

Developers will continue to strive to be able to reduce the cost of the gas they charge, most people still think that 51 gwei, which is the cheapest gas cost, is currently considered quite high compared to other platforms.  But at least there is serious handling that the developer has done to solve this problem.  they will definitely continue to do their best so as not to lose many investors

Good for the future? I don't see it a good thing because when ETH network will be congested, the network fee will increase again, and to see it drop doesn't mean its good because people who transact regularly does always want a cheap and fast transaction fee, ETH network has not given that.
I was almost tired of waiting for the fees to slow down and get back to their normal transaction fees before but that seems not clear enough when to see it back again. Really disappointing how it comes like this and most holder stuck their ERC20 tokens and are not able to sell them due to high fees. And I just hope that people could still be patient more, July is rumored to have the upgrade of ETH20 is quite long, and can't be sure as well if this could change everything.

I don't think so. Usually if the price of ETH goes down, gas will go up because many people panic selling. However, currently the gas is getting lower, it seems that transactions on the ETH network are not as busy as they were yesterday.

The question is whether ETH can solve gas problems or does eth users start switching to another network?

The very chance that there are many ETH users who are now taking their journey using alternative chain.

The high transaction fees mostly the reason, we don't know if this  temporary cheap fees are sustainable or the network is
not busy because there are amny investors who are not willing to lose their money, and gamble to this current downfall.

Good news for the ETH holders and this mainly happened due to the craze over BSC network in my opinion and lot of projects moved to BSC while network fee on ethereum was highly expensive. Currently, 52 GWEI for the fast transaction that reduced the fee a lot compared to the last few while but the worrying sign is price of ethereum is also falling on the other side.

Its falling because many dapps transaction slowly move in to bsc, look at dapps on BSC, many dapps on BSC is old dapps which developed on ethereum before. Let say Idex for example, they are moving in to BSC because of high fees. And at those fees price is still very expensive if we compare to other blockchain network, even bitcoin.

ethereum hasn't fixed this problem. so if the gas fee goes down, that means something else triggers it. I see this maybe because many have switched to bsc, so transactions on the ethereum network have decreased. and this is not a very good thing for the future of ethereum. I'm afraid that if there is a big wave switching to another platform it will affect ethereum. and maybe ethereum won't be the first choice.

Maybe your idea is true. Ethereum's high gas price has been around for years. We heard that ETH 2.0 will actually solve this problem. There are rumors that the issue will be resolved by next June. I think a lot has happened, now is the time to fix it. If this is not resolved now, Ethereum will have to face many problems in the future to keep its position.

I think that even though the last few days Ethereum gas costs have gone down it doesn't mean normal ETH gas costs, but there will be more hikes. As I know that Ethereum gas costs will return to normal if Ethereum 2.0 is launched because ETH 2.0 can solve the problem of ETH gas costs which have been very high so far.

I think that this is a temporary effect during curent dip market
I don't think so. Usually if the price of ETH goes down, gas will go up because many people panic selling. However, currently the gas is getting lower, it seems that transactions on the ETH network are not as busy as they were yesterday.

The question is whether ETH can solve gas problems or does eth users start switching to another network?

We can speculate about what exactly happened, but when I wanted to move some Ethereum this morning I was nicely surprised to see some "normal" fees, they are lower than before, but still, it's high compared to some others! And just to add they were quite fast!
Temporary or not, Ethereum has this problem with fees for some time, and as I said a few times before if they don't solve that, I believe they will lose the race in long term! Some Ethereum competitors are doing a great job, and still, they have cheap transaction fees when we compare it with Ethereum and Ethereum tokens transaction fees!

I think that this source is much better than ethgasstation in term of accuracy https://etherscan.io/gastracker

So many people were moving to the pancake and less TVL on uniswap compared with pancake has proven if the demand is slowly decreasing. The gas fees will never back to the normal. This is just temporary but when the hype will be coming again and there will be another spike in the ethereum gas fees.
It totally depends on how crowded ethereum chain.

Now i don’t like for using Etherium Network for their High gass fees, now i used bsc Network and all people always like bsc network for their low transaction fees,
Now you don't like to use ethereum network because of high transaction fee and low transaction speed. Also you used BSC network to overcome this problem. But I would like to know if you would like to use ethereum network even if they reduce the transaction fee equal to or less than BSC network.  The only reason people are leaving the ethereum network and using the BSC network is because of the high transaction fee. I think if ethereum network solves this problem then most people will come back to this network of their choice.

The question is whether this will continue until the gas fees return to normal, or will there be an increase again as transactions become more intense on the ethereum network.
After the Ethereum berlin network upgrade, the transaction fee has significantly reduced. And it is expected that in the next update the fee will be reduced more.

But since the price of eth has increased a lot, so the fee will be high but not as much as it is nowadays. IMO

ETH better make some moves fast, because all eye is on BSC for it's low transaction fee i.e. very efficient for people to do multiple transactions with small amounts.
BNB has all the chances to rise more
correct, infact mostly in bounty campaign section they're asking BSC instead of ETH, since making transactions on it is getting heavier day by day because of the gas fees.. If ethereum didn't fix this asap for sure they will lose massive support on this situation, especially right now wherein there are some new projects that has the same features with ETH and very smooth when it comes transaction as well so they must be aware on this.

To be honest, I don't know how much gas fee I've been contributed already on the eth network when I am using uniswap and dexes. Last time Ive check is 3.39eth already have been consume for my gas fee on my wallet. Excluding other wallets I've used.

Right now I'm staying away from transacting on Dexes the gas fee is unreasonable I'm completely staying away from Ethereum, one of the gambling sites I'm playing has a huge $15 fees and so are the other centralized exchanges I'm trading with my Ethereum, until the gas fees are back to normal many are staying away from Ethereum.

I see, no wonder mining profitability is so low today, two days ago it's 4$ per rx580 and today it's 2.5$,  Cry  I need just two months more to get my initial investment back from the GPUs I bought very early this year, so far it's been so nice, EIP1559 could be the final blow to all ETH miners but let's wait and see

Its pretty much high as of the moment that nobody can afford to make simple transactions . Maybe Layer 2 will make it a  lot efficient for blockchain Dapps but as I have known, gas price wont be slashed. It is up to the market what the price will be.
Compared to the last few days where a 200 gwei will not get your tx to be confirmed in the next few minutes, I think this is way better. Just what exactly define "afford" based on your standard?

With the next updates of L2 and rollups, it will get even better. We just need to hope it won't get delayed for another year or more.

Thanks for informing but I was using Ethereum with fees of maximum 10 gwei for gas. I don't consider 50 gwei to be low and will not going to use unless there is one digit in gwei fees again.
You'll have to be patient then. I don't see that happens until the next scalability updates are live. I'd be glad if I'm wrong though.

Now, considering the fact that it was above 200 gwei for some time during high network usage, I think that this means Ethereum is probably not used so much right now.

Maybe a good time to move some tokens in exchanges without losing too much money in miners fees.

Yea, BSC was designed as a solution to overcome high gas fees on the ethereum network, but unfortunately there are still many projects that still use the ethereum protocol rn. don't get me wrong, I've always liked ethereum, but they have to be quick to find a solution for this crazy gass fee, because it's so bad for us

Not completely good, it shows that lesser people are transacting with ETH at the moment, ETH team haven't fixed the high gas fee issue so I suspect that many people aren't doing transactions on eth network right now

Again this is also bad news for ETH miners, their daily reward just got more lower than before

I also notice that recently the average gas cost was dipped down to 52 Gwie today when I'm sending Ethereum today only cost me $2 dollars I was damn surprised with this recent development in the transaction cost of the Ethereum Network I hope it will remain at that level so that many users will use Ethereum once more including me for sure.

Good to know that the gas fees in the Ethereum network is slowly decreasing. But I would be more happy if they can bring it to a manageable level -- averaging not more than $10 and slowly going back to the normal range as before. This high transaction cost in Ethereum is a big insult to the people who are now trusting cryptocurrency. This has become a big detriment to people who are just holding small quantities of coins or tokens. Before you can be able to encash in exchanges coins or tokens with just face value of $5 because the whole thing can still be profitable...right now it can take a big miracle for that to happen. I am hoping a BIG miracle is coming from the Buterin team.

Some may be happy with it that the fee is much smaller compared to previous fee. The wallet I use have 0.009 eth fee since the wallet I use is custodial but I am sti happy that it dropped compared to ETH fee before which the fee reach 0.0363 eth per transaction compared to not custodial wallet.

It is a good news for ETh network users becuase most of the old and new projects are using ETH network. If There was no problem of Gas fee of ETH network then other platform may be less familarize. According to a news ETh network upgrade will be held in July of this year. After this All things will be normal.

It's good news for me as I am holding some tokens in my Ethereum wallet. To take them into CEX, I have to pay more than their value. So, hoping for more decrease in the gas fees.
