Why are you complaining about it now, what have you done legally on your issue? If you still have screenshots of your transactions and pieces of evidence you should post them in the scam section Scam Accusations

To resolve this issue on gate.io, you can simply submit a ticket to their customer service. However, I'd like to ask, what is your reason for posting this thread? Are you intending to issue a warning against gate.io? Or are you telling that gate.io is a scam?

I created a ticket over a month ago, but the problem has not been resolved. The post here is only a warning that users may encounter the fact that the exchange does nothing to resolve the issue, only standard support answers.

Frankly, I have been using GateioExchange for many years and have not faced any problems regarding the money I deposited. You do not have to worry if you legitimately obtained your funds and did not commit any illegal things or violate the policy and terms of using their platform. Perhaps the delay is because you may have created multiple tickets, or they may have a lot of pressure to respond to other customers' tickets.

You must have deposited a larger amount than your usual activity which triggered their security system. The fact that you suddenly activated your account after a long period probably added to their suspicions.

Posting it here may help a bit to get their attention but it won't necessarily solve your case. Goodluck.

Verification completed, and still finding your usdt locked? This is really a complicated complaints, gate.io. have no affair with one's funds, they can only have urge to block one's account when they get a complaint on your accounts from other fellow users. I simply advise anyone using all these exchanges to promptly avoid all kinds violation, thoroughly go through the terms and conditions, confirm them and only then, you're good to go. Negative comments about gate.io. however I don't believe your stories because you must have violate one or two rules.

You should open a Scam Accusation thread against the exchange but only if you know you have enough proofs to back your statements because you can't blame a service or a website just verbally while not having anything to show. You should have screenshots of your funds that are blocked, maybe your conversations with the support team and their responses to your questions and tickets, and anything else that can serve as proof in this matter.

You should have first checked with the support team before depositing funds if your account is completely okay to be reused since you said you haven't used it for a while and accounts often get temporarily blocked or deactivated when they are not used for some time.

The country, city, email and phone number have not changed alsough 2FA not changed and it's enabled ))) I don’t think there could be any questions about the account being hacked.

The funds were transferred through the correct blockchain and appear in my spot wallet.

When I try to make smth with my money, I got the popup window:   Tip: Your account has been placed under protection due to detected potential risks. To lift this protection, please submit a ticket.

In "Tickets" section was automatically answer to my question about 1 month ago and nothing else, and no answer on my next question.

In the section support.gate.io/hc/en-us/requests I have been receiving standard responses from the same support for a month now, nothing has changed.

make sure you include evidence and screenshots. it'd be interesting to read their replies to you. i do have an account in gate when they launched a token but i didn't verify it. forgot to join the pump when i saw the price had already gone up. i think they are reputable though im interested to see their reason.

Yup! You are going in the right way. Please post all those details in that board with evidence that you are being scammed by these guys. I would be interested to see those evidence that can justify your claim. I was eager to ser the reason as I was the one who asked for details.

It is quite weird and confusing that an exchange would not give you a reason why they blocked your account. I am pretty sure exchanges or whatever websites need to at least inform you of what are the possible reasons for an account to ge blocked.

Since you said you took a break, maybe they found your action suspicious but I think they should have checked your account thoroughly if that is the case. They would have done some kind of verification but the fact that a month has passed is concerning.

It seems like they do not even want to resolve the issue. Sorry but you getting your money back does not seem too likely anymore.

The exchange has the right to block its member accounts. Therefore, we are never advised to keep money on the exchange for a long time. Regarding the case experienced by OP, I think it was because he sent money to the account after not using it for a long time and maybe this activity was marked as suspicious activity. The only way is, OP must ask for a solution from Gate team and ensure that money he sends does not violate the rules of the exchange provider.

This is to warn other people about your experience and for Gate.io become aware of your issues, who knows they might contact you and offer to resolve your issues.
When you are scammed or have issues on exchanges or any platform let the public become aware of it so they will be updated on the status of the platform.
I think you are actually correct. He should have posted it on scam accusations thread for more people to be aware about it . Though this place is also part of the forum and any information dropt in any angle of the BTT forum will be communicated.

For your Gate.io @Dima, I believe it will be fine maybe it's a network glitch. Or it could be the site is having some challenges that will be resolved sooner or later.

It is one of the mid tier exchanges and i don't think they will scam users only for a few thousand dollars when the bull run is on the door. There must be a miscommunication or something wrong with your account. It will be better to keep in touch with their support to find out whats wrong. Sometimes these exchanges freeze assets that were deposited from any blacklisted wallet or connected to them. So It will be better to sort it out with their support and get to know what's wrong.

sorry for your losses mate but may I ask why just now that you are calling this here ? I  have heard Gate.io back in the days b ut never that I use this service .

is there anything you have to do for this old case claiming just like now? how much have you lost  here ?

If you want to know what was the reason that your deposit got blocked then provide some more details. USDT is now available on multiple blockchains. Sending it to the wrong blockchain can lead to it being lost. Another reason might be they want you to reverify you again. If you don't provide details about what exactly has happened then none of us here can help you or guide you.

Well its easy to open up a topic about it but of course maybe there are issues or something about your account. Ive used gate before and seems not to have a problem. Check their support or message them. Surely they will accomodate you for that reason unless you violated something about their t and c.

You said that you've got a long break and that means that it's possible that you had your account dormant. It's possible that you might have been flagged that your account was hacked or into possession of someone else or any other illegal matters and that's why they've blocked your funds. I think it's reasonable for their end to do that if that break of yours took years. But for more details on what you must do and know about this type of case, they've got a guidelines[1] about it.

You haven't fully described the situation. Perhaps you just transferred your tokens to the wrong network or to the wrong address and the exchange does not see them? And the problem can only be solved with the help of exchange support, no one will help you here.

Firstly, what do you mean by blocked the funds if I may ask, do you mean your USDT was not deposited into your spot account/wallet. Secondly, did you confirmed if gate exchange do charge for deposit fee and how much USDT did you deposit, I'm asking this because some exchange has deposit fee policy.

If you confirmed all these I ask you then you should know the reasons why you couldn't see your deposited funds before contacting the support.

Your bad luck. only thing you can do is probably just wait until the CS give update. Or ask them again. Unless you can bring them to court somehow which i think unlikely or impossible or not worth it.
Just use top exchange after this. being full KYC means nothing, they will steal your money anyway.

Never used Gate.io for long time since I choose to stay on the top exchange since trading action also platform reputation is more better compare to any other else.

But no one can help you to solve an issue there. Also try to contact their support and ask the reason why it happen so that you will know the reason on why your account or funds got blocked, for sure they the answer if there's something abuse has been find out or something suspicious activity has been don.

 
Since you and other guy has experience the same issue then maybe its better not to use that exchange anymore and try to locate the exchange which is listed as top 1 exchange in the market.

    You know I haven't used my gate.io account for several months, and I haven't even submitted KYC, even though I know if they have it in their features. But even though I haven't been active on this platform for several months, I was still able to withdraw without submitting my KYC.

    Now in your situation, op, I'm a bit surprised why they were able to block your account in their exchange. Have you tried to find out from their support the reason why they were able to block your account?
