Hello guys,

Kinda strange problem... i withdrew 0.5btc from my gate.io btc wallet to my bibox btc wallet. So 0.5btc went off my account, but it never arrived. So i checked my transaction history, but no transfer id was available. I used a block explorer and checked out the btc wallet adress, and still no transaction appeared. So 0.5btc is gone, but i have no proof of this. Now later i discovered you can check billing details on gate.io, and i do see the withdrawal and fee for the transaction. How can this be possible? Is my btc lodt? I have sent a ticket to support, but am aware it will take a long time IF they respond...

Thanks in advance

If you are sure that you withdrew that 0.5 BTC, and it did deduct 0.5 BTC from your account and does appear in your withdrawal history, but there's nothing on the blockchain, then it's definitely that Gate.io hasn't sent your transaction yet. Especially if there is no transaction ID available, that's probably a sign that they are still processing it.

It's got nothing to do with Bibox, and everything to do with Gate.io. I haven't used it previously, but if it does have an email confirmation for withdrawals, have you clicked on that yet?

They actually claim on gate.io that they have instant withdrawals on their front page, which is a bit ironic if this is what OP experienced. Unfortunately, you do need support to respond to you in this case, since they are the only ones with access to their payment wallets.

Gate.io BTC transaction without tx id,  Huh [Why are your words contradictory?]
Now later i discovered you can check billing details on gate.io, and i do see the withdrawal and fee for the transaction. How can this be possible?
Please post your withdrawal information "tx id." or check it using blockexplorer.

I withdrew 0.5btc from my gate.io BTC wallet to my bibox BTC wallet.
based on google "bibox" is not a wallet.

Check the tx-id in any explorer, if the transaction is confirmed, your problem with bibox exchange.

2. Hire a lawyer and sue them.
This should be taken as a last resort although I do not think it will work

Recently I also used Gate.io exchange to trade my token reward into Ethereum, when I was going to withdraw from it, it takes some time I think almost 3-4 hours of waiting for my coins into my wallet but on the exchange, it says that transactions completed in tx.
So, to OP maybe you may wait for an hour or reload the site.
I think support team of Gate.io was always active on client issues resolving so you need to worry they are reputable exchange site.

Did you try checking your deposit address on blockchain, whether or not the money has left the address or not? (if that's possible)
Your bitcoins are not lost. It might take more than a while for you to get your money back but don't lose your patience. Wait for one whole month for them to reply. Then harass them on social media like previously suggested and then sue them. A few screenshots might help your case.
He wont able to do such thing. Why? The origin of the Bitcoin balance was on an exchange. How he would able to trace up since he wont even know on whats his address yet this is normally being sent out on exchange wallet itself. Theres no tx hash or whatsoever on such transaction which means you would really have the hard time to tracing it up. If theres no history on incoming transaction into his bibox wallet address then no doubt the btc is just still on gate.io but it shows the tx had been processed already.

1. "Harass" them on social media, trying to get their attention.

they will probably ignore @OP, because they do not care about social network criticism

2. Hire a lawyer and sue them.

this is the best option and to facilitate the task for OP:

Technical Support Email: [email protected]
Business Email: [email protected]
Mail: PO Box 2804, Grand Cayman KY1-1112 , Cayman Island.

maybe with this data the police can do something

Without the txid, it is impossible to know where the funds have gone. However i did some googling, and it is not looking good. The site is rated at around 2-3/5, with very poor and unresponsive support with automatic replies.

Try to reach them, that's the only way besides:

1. "Harass" them on social media, trying to get their attention.
2. Hire a lawyer and sue them.

I have never heard of them personally, and many people seem to have problems using them.

I will if they don't respond. I did find an order id number in my billing details, and an order id for the fee i have payed...
