Bitcoin is too valuable to be used as a currency
^^ I like the below pic best, it is instantly recognisable to any bitcoin enthusiast, the top one just has too much going on for me.

Any plans to take your shop on the road?

If they aren't bitcoin enthusiasts, it would appear to me like some badass transformers logo! I love transformers so  Cool

plus I seriously think investing in art right now is likely better than alt coins and ico's at this point in time, we probably have around 3-6 months before the party is over...

Also for the gallery to be on the road certainly we should work towards that, theres quiet some work to do indeed. But we have a nice roadmap to get there.

Glad everyone has been so positive on CG's work, I feel like he deserves way more credit than due.

There's a growing amount of artists in the Bitcoin space and many are not getting the recognition they deserve. However, I like you, believe that in time their works will prove to be a better investment than many of the ICO's and Alt coins out there right now.

this piece was brought by Marc Andreessen likely @ Andreessen Horowitz's office somewhere

That art gallery looks amazing.
I must say that I haven't really heard of this artist before and had no idea that there was a market for this.
Who usually appraises the work and how much are you after for one of the proofs?

Thanks

thanks! yeah he has been around the block since 2011, he works pseudonymously due to the nature of his work's message that it projects. I have not yet looked into appraisal, last offer for the proof Bitcoin Node was $5,000 this May.

quiet frankly I really have no idea what it should be worth, so it is an opened ended offer till something comes along. Feel free to bid, all offers welcome.

Yeah I find that actually has more value to me than just a bunch of pump and dump coins, not all, but most are assumably the like. If you are like minded like me interested into putting some funds into art pieces that will go up in value as proven historically, pm me to inquire more details.

I would be interested in screen prints of this. But I dont think that would ever happen.

CG currently has these on very nice Laminated Aluminum E-Panel #2/5 up on the site.

I also have access to both of the United Nodes x 100 and United Nodes Inflated #1/5 editions, if anyone is interested in inquiries, PM me

keep track of his twitter in the meantime for new updates.

also for some inspiration

Only 1 will ever exist, I wasn't even aware it was for sale until
I asked him if he had the original piece when I saw the art pieces on display at the art show.

The thing that I appreciate is the fact it's one of a kind and all work is made with real dollar bills so everything you see came from cutting up many dollar bills. My fav part is George Washington enclosed in the cape looking like Satoshi. It's perfect in my mind:)

1 of a kind is amazing but so is it's price...

Also, as i know - isn't cutting or destroying US Bills in any kind is illegal and can cause imprisonment upto 6 months or something like that?

The legal code (18 USC § 333) spells it out.

Whoever mutilates, cuts defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note or other eveidence of debt issued by any national banking association, or Federal Reserve Bank, or the Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such bank bill, draft, note or other evidence of debt unfit to be reissued, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

EDIT : am not very sure , i found this which makes it confusing

http://www.oddee.com/item_96988.aspx

I do remember , Max stopped his Auction thread for Thuglife Bill because of the legal code but later turned out since it wasn't destroyed , it's ok but cutting the note? I'm not sure..

That aside , the art is really awesome and on the same time is very costly for my pocket...
Good luck with the sale

PS - being a gamer , to me he looks more like a character of Assassin's Creed  Grin

Awesome, I love AC as well, I don't mind holding this for a while, so I am sure given time there will someone who will be interested down the road.

Well no one have to make purchase to appreciate the art:)

and I totally I agree with your point with the whole respect the national currency thingy here *cough *cough, and we should all of course follow and obey "the law",

but then I see shit like this...

http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/05/politics/fbi-director-doesnt-recommend-charges-against-hillary-clinton/index.html

18 U.S. Code § 798 - Disclosure of classified information

(a) Whoever knowingly and willfully communicates, furnishes, transmits, or otherwise makes available to an unauthorized person, or publishes, or uses in any manner prejudicial to the safety or interest of the United States or for the benefit of any foreign government to the detriment of the United States any classified information—
(1) concerning the nature, preparation, or use of any code, cipher, or cryptographic system of the United States or any foreign government; or
(2) concerning the design, construction, use, maintenance, or repair of any device, apparatus, or appliance used or prepared or planned for use by the United States or any foreign government for cryptographic or communication intelligence purposes; or
(3) concerning the communication intelligence activities of the United States or any foreign government; or
(4) obtained by the processes of communication intelligence from the communications of any foreign government, knowing the same to have been obtained by such processes—
Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.

Great gallery. Plus great piece for sale. Reminds me of the Kialara thug life (unsure which of 2 those came first ...). I didnt even know these existed.

I am lucky enough to have one of the 2 "Free Charlie!" pieces  - shown in https://blog.coincafe.com/2015/11/10/cryptograffiti/
(It was Charlies own, gifted to him by CG)

If CG wants that going up in his gallery, tell him to reach out to me - assuming the pop up stays popped up for a little while longer

Yeah def I'll ask him thanks! Yeah I wanted to get thug life but unfortunately it was too late then. Not many are aware of this piece's existence, since I acquired it way before it ever got a glance to the public for the art show.

wow that's amazing..
Your whole store is amazing

Where is it located?
Thanks for the awesomeness but it is not my gallery, just a friend of Cryptograffiti's

I happened to discover it as walking by downtown so it recently just opened actually.

We are having a Bitcoin Holiday party tomorrow night with charity auctions as well!

It is located @

DG717 Digital Garage
717 Market St
San Francisco, CA 94103

The price sure is pretty high and out of my pocket but no wonder it's that given the name and art i see here.

I would make sure to visit the place whenever i happen to be in CA

Great gallery. Plus great piece for sale. Reminds me of the Kialara thug life (unsure which of 2 those came first ...). I didnt even know these existed.

-snip-

I guess Kialara was made in Jan while this was something around April-may and not to mention , Thuglife are 100$ Notes with 100$ worth of btc in them as at that time.

How many of these 1$ notes by cryptograffiti exist? do all of them have same design?

P.S Dorian S. Nakamoto is actually planning to attend the event tonight as well. Right on! If anyone wants to meet him in person feel free to stop by!

also if I remember correctly the asking price for the Global Disruption 2015 on the wall there (blue world map) last asking price around May is 27,000.00 USD, not sure what the price is now. But it is a gorgeous piece which you have to appreciate in person, pics don't do justice here. Undecided

How much are you planning to get for these?

Not sure if I can afford them yet. Tongue

PS: Your store looks amazing. Smiley

I am not quiet sure yet, but I do not expect to let go unless a real serious offer appears, last late drunken party/joke friend offer I got around May 2016 was $5,000.00 USD. I politely rejected, also the same guy who offered me owns Satoshi Nakamoto, 2014 and that piece's last asking price that I inquired was $100,000.00 (keep in mind there is only two in the world), and me and my league of DAB's (digital asset brokers) are seriously considering making the purchase if some of our portfolio investments work out in the next year or so.

but if you look at some of the most expensive art, I personally value and resonate with the values these arts project way more Smiley

maybe in 20-30 years we will see multi-million valuations too for what is gonna go down in history as one of the most important inventions that changed humanity... Tongue

most people currently buy these expensive arts are mostly bankers, well we gotta have something for us to spend our btc's on when Bitcoin holders become the new elite. Wink

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/12/17/most-expensive-art-2013_n_4454930.html

By the way it is not my store, it is Cryptograffiti's gallery, although it is def a future dream of mine to have a gallery like this in SF, there are many art galleries, but none like this, and people tend to walk in and its a great ice breaker on the subject to Bitcoin, you do hear some nice and memorable conversations with such, Cheesy

Bitcoin is too valuable to be used as a currency
Hello everyone!

I am considering offers and interests from my private collection 2016 United Nodes series artist's proof by Cryptograffiti.

http://www.cryptograffiti.com/

https://blog.coincafe.com/2015/11/10/cryptograffiti/

For those unfamiliar with his works, some of his art patrons include Marc Andreessen, Roger Ver, Charlie Shrem, Brock Pierce, Jesse Powell, John McAfee, and many other prominent members from the Bitcoin community.

It is ONE of a kind piece all made from REAL US legal tender currency (no drawings), you will not ever find another of the same item. Here is a photo of the piece (backside is unmodified).

this is the piece that produced both [United Nodes X 100, 2016] and [United Nodes (inflated), 2016]. Both large art pieces are limited edition of #5, with both #1/5 SOLD, well this you can own the very piece that produced these two iconic series.

It is currently on display @ DG717 in San Francisco Downtown on Market St. Cool
http://www.dg717.com/popup/

I also have the UNCUT full version of the Bitcoin money bag (Authentic from Federal Reserve) if anyone is interested also.

Thanks for looking! Enjoy the art Cool

P.S I am not Cryptograffiti
