I guess 20$ is little bit expensive , maybe 15$ ? If it's really beautiful and creative then people may pay whatever it takes to get it .

also I just found  you this link : https://grabcad.com/library/bitcoin-1 (you have register to get the file I assume) also look oat the right there is "simillar models" Smiley Good luck ! pls show us the result once you do it .

Would $20 be a good enough sale price?

Considering:

  • around $46 per spool of plastic
  • around 2 hours taken to print
  • specific environment to print

Well  , have you find a good design or you are going to use the one that I provided ? I was able to see how it looks like and it's pretty simple and dosen't contain anything at all . just a 3D model

I might make one for myself Smiley

3D printers should read STL format as far as I know , here you go this design : http://www.mediafire.com/download/cl9buxmn03iu787/bitcoin.stl  [Source : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ive-created-a-basic-stl-file-of-a-bitcoin-3d-printable-352556 ]
I'am not sure how it looks like but I guess you could try and give it a shoot , if you print it please share with us the results on the topic with a screenshot Grin

That's a nice and simple design, no overhangs for the benefit of those with FFF machines that don't have water-soluble supports or second extruders. There were some mesh issues, but nothing Slic3r couldn't handle. I can't actually print it for a while, but it looks like a fair design. At low density, could be a cheap trinket to give out to raise awareness at events.

I'd be interested depending on the price, though I recon it would be cheaper than a silver coin of similar size, right?
Cool idea for sure, I think there would be interest in something like this.

I have an access to a 3D printer and I was thinking of making a 3D printed Bitcoin.

Wanted to know from the community what you would like on it, and what design
I could use. Or I could accept designs and 3D Print it for them.

Feel free to post here any ideas or comments
