So, what this looks like is you pay them $10 for them to be able to PoS 1 Paycoin (You have to also buy one paycoin for $20) for 3 months. LOL. GAWminers officially revealing their true colors. "Give me money so I can give you tiny amounts of money over time after you buy all my snake oil."

I see nothing bad in 2FA, although it should be optional not forced.
I think GAW is trying to limit new signups for their giveaways. GAW might remove 2FA afterwards.
They could just, ya know, maybe end the giveaway?
There are other ways with 2FA, like cryptsy by sending an email with a key, simple and easy as that!

Please do, what they've done to alter hundreds of thousands of people's account without owner's consent, while not criminal I'm sure by their TOS, I would consider criminal. Does a bank account just change your pin number without you initiating it? Or how about your email changing your password without your knowledge? GAW is doomed now in my opinion unless they make email 2fa, a disable option, or just scrap it altogether for withdrawals. Signing up is one thing, but locking people out of their own invested money is another.

To be honest I wouldn't even trust GAW with my phone number.

The problem is not with 2FA itself. The problem is forcing hundreds of thousands of people into downloading software for a cloud mining service to even be able to withdraw their bitcoin. The problem is leaking your phone number online, which in its very nature is the opposite of security. Say you ran a company and after someone joins you, you say, "Oh, sorry, you can't get your money until to download this, do x y z and release more private information."

What kind of a company would allow itself to make such poor decisions? Not only this, but they have extended their "ICO" for people to mine 2 more weeks of "HashPoints" (yes, in store credit to buy their new Paycoin for $4 which will launch at $20). Cash out now and never look back.
