Not necessarily FUD. Many people believe they will be better heard in their time of despair by starting a thread. Or could just be an impulsive reaction.

were the gemz sent to any unknown address? if it weren't repair your wallet from console. in console type -rescan this might help. I bought some gemz few days ago, and everything was fine: I got my gemz in my wallet.
