Since there isn't equality from one person to the next, why would anyone even consider gender equality?

Cool
This question is really neccessary, i just wish people still promoting gender inequality will be able to give an answer to it. Even among the males, some males are more capable than the other, yet they are all treated as one without any form of discrimination because they are male. In my opinion, gender equality or inequality and all other forms of baseless inequalities created by humans to limit themselves are now outdated. People should be recognised based on their individual abilities and not base on gender, skin colour or place of origin.

exactly, I totally agree with you and I also say that those who criticize based on gender, sex or anything else don't even deserve an answer, it should all be based on a world where meritocracy exists, those who know how to do things and those who don't know how to do things succumb to everything in the name of justice.

Just remember, we didn't start having trouble until the women got the vote.

Men and women are supposed to get together and have kids and raise a family. Generally, the man is the boss of the family. But he is supposed to work with his wife in everything.

It's the banking system, and the love of money that messes this up for everybody.

Cool

yes, I too am for that universal brotherhood thing but I don't think we can get to something like that considering that women always try to put a spoke in the wheels and literally go crazy when things happen and don't know how to be impartial so this is

I personally believe that men and women are equal, but related the to capacity of our mind(brain power) and a few other segments, whereas alot of different other factors make us unequal.
In terms of equality, we like to see both men and women as equal. We do not want only men to rule in society. Women also have a big role along with men. That is why we want to respect both women and men. However, if we are going to comment based on shape and structure and psychological factors, then I must say that the things that men can do successfully, even if some women can do those things, it is less likely that they will be like men. I am not saying that they cannot, but if thorough research is done there, then definitely some difference will be found.

Although both women and men are equal, women can perform better in housework and family management. From that point of view, men can also handle outside work well. Now we will not find any right solution to this issue through debate, but if we look at it from the inside, we can definitely say that men will definitely be ahead than women.

inherently speaking there are really things that a man would never be able to do that only women can and vice versa but if one puts their mind into something i am sure they can do it and they shouldn’t be prohibited from at least trying

gender equality focuses more on the opportunities that are not given because of discrimination when it should be given to everyone regardless of their identity

Men and women are equal except in few things which isn't a thing ordered by any human but nature itself but when many people decides to talk about equality they make the mistake of generalising these aspects of equality.

There are activities or positions that are manly and could be fitted to a man alone in carrying them out, which if a woman is positioned will lead to inefficiencies and ineffectiveness of service or output.
When it has to do with societal issues both genders shares equal right but when it has to do with intimacy one party just has to play the more equal role. Both genders has the equal capability to think, brainstorm, come up with new ideas, and bring in innovative solutions and this is the primary reason for rating both genders equal but there is still a limitation to this especially when it grows beyond society affluence to intimacy then they must always be a figure who is more equal than the other. Not for the purpose of oppression or authoritativeness but just to ensure there is guidance, respect, love, unity and orderliness

The issue of gender equality has been on for a very long time now, "what a man can do a woman can do better" seems to be the talk of the day every where and with the LGBT move going on around the world (a point for another day), How true is it that both genders are equal.

Most cultures around the world segregate women as the weaker of our species, 'putting them in their place' as most people phrase it, and while the fight for gender equality has been on for years now, how mach traction has it gained since.

These gender issue is still a problem to us because we just won't stop comparing and analysing what a gender should and should not do. We should just let everyone be who they think they are. Naturally, there are specific roles that are peculiar to a particular gender but, if a person of a different gender feels he can fit into that role and deliver perfectly, I do not see any need for discriminations and comparisons. I do not believe we are unequal, we just have different capabilities as individuals therefore, people should be allowed to be who they think they are instead of forcing some principles down their throat.

Until I see men having babies at all, to say nothing about as easily as women have them, I will never consider them equal to women.

Gender equality? We don't even see any equality from person to person. The only equality that exists lies in the fact that each person has an immortal soul.

Cool

To the universe? We are just a spec of dust that doesn't even matter, just like the way we look at bacteria under a microscope or grains of sand on the beach. It's about time we humans stopped thinking that they matter the most in this universe  Grin

The fact that there is human identity proves that the Creator has this identity as well. So, the universe is filled with it.

Identity, itself, might be the same in all people. But everything else is different in everybody, at least a tiny bit.

Gender equality isn't about physical strength or competing in the same arena. It's about providing fair opportunities for both men and women in spaces where they can excel.

In areas requiring physical strength, such as being a break layer, it's unlikely a woman would naturally possess the same level of physical strength as a man. Similarly, men may not be naturally inclined towards roles like babysitting.

Gender equality is about giving opportunities to individuals based on their capabilities, not their gender. If a woman wants to be a break layer and demonstrates the necessary strength, she should be given the opportunity.

Women are aware of their capacities and don't seek to compete in areas where they're unlikely to succeed. For instance, in the Olympics, there are separate events for men and women, and even in mixed relay races, men and women compete separately based on their strengths.

In summary, gender equality is about providing opportunities for individuals to succeed in areas where they can perform, without being disqualified based on their gender.

Cultures differ to a great extent. Even in a particular socio cultural group, you will tend to see different cultural heritage. I was surprised to see in a culture in my country where men does nothing. I mean absolutely nothing but to sit and discuss while their women are the ones that go to work, go to farm, earn money and cater for the family. I was so amazed how women of that particular tribe were then men. At this point, the thought of gender equality occurred to me and I chuckled.

With feminism movement, women is successfully change the culture where men are powerful than women, now women are above men.

Women are easier to get job, women are protected by society, majority of people trust women more than men, women earn more than men etc. Not to mention there are many people said "when women have money, they will not looking for men".

We're living in a fuck up society now, I wish I was a baby boomer generation, even though I might be not invest in Bitcoin, but I might be more happy.

Most cultures around the world segregate women as the weaker of our species, 'putting them in their place' as most people phrase it, and while the fight for gender equality has been on for years now, how mach traction has it gained since.

Because they are physically weaker, but the deal is, you don't segregate. You have to be a man with issues to even talk about women being somehow worse than men, or unequal. They are not the same as men, in general smaller and weaker, but that's how it is. Most men don't feel attracted to women who are taller and heavier than them.

It's important to state that women are in general smaller and weaker, but it does not make them worse. A man cannot give birth, right? Does that make them inferior to women? We could say that, but we don't.
There are many things women do that men cannot, which is why we need each other and there's no need for rivalry between genders.
Women don't need to be segregated because their are somethings they can even do very better than many men. We use the physical strength to conclude seeing women as the weaker vessels,  in terms of the physical strength their are some women that are even stronger than some men.

The only thing I will say women and men are not the same is in the family which the wife is supposed to give the man some level of respect as the head of the family. But as for society I don't think women should be segregated or look less, they have so much role to play which even the men can't even do alone. As the society is concerned I believe in gender equality   nobody has it all, what a man has you may not found in a woman and what a woman have you may not also found in a man, that's to tell you we need one another to keep the world moving.

Women and men are equal, but that is a specific area. You cannot make women equal to men in all places, and you cannot make men equal to women in all places. We are all complete or equal from our own position. If you think from the perspective of reproduction, then you will see the role of women and men as equal. If women and men do not have equal roles in reproduction, it is not possible to complete the reproductive system. Our world survives because of reproduction, the world is developing. But if you make women compete with men in all areas for unnecessary reasons, then you will make a mistake. Let women do women's work and let men do men's work. Women's creative characteristics are one and men's creative characteristics are another. Due to the difference in creative characteristics, women and men have different rights, but they are equal. But today, instead of equalizing the rights of women and men, we are fighting over the difference in rights.

I think women have been given both the rights and respect they deserve, but they are trying to take men's rights as well as women's rights under their control. If you try to give women the same rights as men, it goes without saying that it will be an attempt to change the laws of nature. Changing nature by humans takes on a very dangerous form. I am willing to speak in favor of everyone's fair rights, but I will not agree to give equal rights at all.

when we talk about gender equality, we tend to be very biased on our view and often times, it's because we tend to analyze it from just a single point of view without necessarily doing a full consideration on what being equal means for both gender. intellectually, both genders functions based on the level of knowledge they have acquired and when it comes to carrying out intellectual assignment, its very rear before a particular gender is being marginalized except in instances where other factors suggest that one of the gender is bringing more revenue than the other like the case of male and female sport players that have different wage because of which reason it the male attract attract more audience that buys the greater ticket.

if you even want to be completely neutral advocating that the female be treated the same way the male gets treated in most occasions, you will find out that the women will suffer more because by default, they are weaker in most circumstances and cant measure up to most of the things the male can be useful for. even in leadership, the proportion of female leaders that does better than the male is very small and these are all indicators that gender equality is what is now thriving because the media are projecting it a certain way. everyone is unique in their own way and have their own quality in their own way to the best of their ability. once you expect the both gender to be treated equally, you should just know that you are going to cheat one of them. LGBDQ is a totally different thing and what they tend to call being all inclusive is just a way of promoting a strange practice we don't want to talk about.

It's both true and propaganda. Equal rights for men and women should be guaranted, it's not even a question. But we live in woke times and sometimes things become just ridiculous
For example when half of posts in government should be taken by women. It's not gender equality already. Such things should be about your competence and skills. You shouldn't receive job just because of your gender. And it doesn't matters you're man or women.
Federal character have place alot of limitations on women and in most countries around the world women are treated as second class citizens when it comes to political and other life issues, like in my country most women are denied political office because of they sex and also physical make up, I don't know why that is, but then it what it is, and the reason that such phrase like, it's a mans world comes into play which in reality is not so, we need to promote equal right for all regardless of gender, what is most important is the individuals level of education, skills and expertise that should be emphasize on and not gender differences when allocating responsibilities.

There are so many things a man can do that a woman cannot do and vice versa. This statement shouldn't be used as a yardstick to fight for equality. The fight should be against cultural practices that limit the productivity of women. They should be allowed to express themselves without any form of limitation or segregation. Both women are male should be treated equally because we are all humans. In the family, the man remains the head, but at the work place the head should be determined by positive contribution and relevance to the organization.

Men and women where created by God, we're all human beings, the difference is our reproductive organs and in most cases physical strength. Intellectually I think that men and women are equal but I believe that most women never explore their intellects, they prefer to let the men to do the critical thinking while they tend to manage their homes. In the society men and women are equal, any merited roles and positions in the society should be given to who qualifies for it irrespective of their gender. But when it comes to the homes, men are supposed to be the heads, it is natural for a man to lead in a home because God has given them that capacity to be the heads of their families. It doesn't mean that women are inferior to men but because of orderliness in the home, one of the gender has to be in charge and by nature it falls on the man to lead their families.

Well said, it’s not of the world to look down on women and women should know their limits also as I see them having their limitations since God has already ordained for it to be so, men will always be the leader in some aspect of life. The society that preached gender equality should also have limitations to that, not in all ramifications can women be superior to men, just like the example you gave when they’re at home. The physical strength, thinking and all other attributes a man has that is more than that of the woman should not be used to want to equate them as one. Let their be just and gender equity, let the cap be given to who it fits the most irrespective of gender identity. I don’t really believe in gender equality to some extent, it should rather be gender equity and not equality in most cases which is been preached more in the society.

there are many manual handling/physical/communication roles that men perform better at.
there are many manual handling/physical/communication roles that women perform better at.

people need to be treated as individuals and selected for roles based on their skills, experience, training, education and talent
2 men may not be equally skilled/able to perform the same role
2 women may not be equally skilled/able to perform the same role
1 man 1 woman may not be equally skilled/able to perform the same role

..
here is where propaganda steps in
news media portrays that womens sports get paid less than men due to [insert gender insult]
however when you check out the numbers, things look different

for instance imagine the sports entertainment industry is funded by ticket sales. (demo numbers not accurate)
where male sports earns $1billion and the sportsmen get 1% of the industry as salary
where female sports earns $100million and the sportswomen get 5% of the industry as salary

sports women earn $5m and sportsmen earn $10m

seems on the face of it that men get paid better ($10 vs $5)
yet its the women that actually ge paid better at 5% of industry compared to 1% of industry

the issue is that viewers/spectators and attendee of events just dont fund the female side of the industry to afford the female players to get equal pay at a 1% equal share of the industry
