In an effort to wage a glorious analytical assault on commonly held misconceptions about cryptocurrency in academia I'm conducting a qualitative research survey; join the cause by answering any/all of the questions below:

What is your current relationship with Bitcoin ? Why do you use it/ what for (be honest plx) ?

Why do you imagine most people use Bitcoin ? (relevant anecdotes are much appreciated)

How did you first become aware of Bitcoin? what drove you to get involved ?

Have you financially profited from Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies in any way ? would you consider financial self-interest a primary motivating factor in your use of Bitcoin ?

From your experience, is there any real political component to cryptocurrency, if so, is this a motivating factor for your involvement?

Is the media portrayal of Bitcoin' most common uses and users ( neck-bearded gold standard advocates, international drug dealers, child pornographers, arms dealers et al.)  an accurate one ? why, why not etc. etc.

What  (if any) are some non-criminal/non-contraband Bitcoin transactions that you have personally taken part in ?
